[Q] HELP! Looking for lost boot animation... - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

K... I know this is a stretch, but does anyone know of a boot animation that looks similar to the new Lollipop, but without the 'sun' and (IMO) the silly letter transformations (again, very similar to "L," but the letters just fade in)? I had this before and thought I had a copy backed up, but lost it with a new flash. I have no idea what the name was, but any help would be *gratefully* appreciated.
Thx!

This is certainly not related to VillianROM in any way.
I think it's a hardware problem - there's something wrong with display panel. If the backlight is dead you should barely see very dark image on the screen in bright lightning conditions.
Anyway, looks like there's nothing you nor your friend can do to fix it. You need to send it to service.

If the phone has USB debugging enabled by accident (I guess it's hard to turn it on blindly) then you can access it using adb shell. If you have custom recovery image installed, such as Clocwork or Amon_RA, you can boot to it and fave full access to your phone through USB using adb (or fastboot) so you can flash new ROM images.

Yes, what he said ^^.
I'll just add one more thing. To get to custom recovery easily, pull the battery out and put it back in again. Then perform what ever key combination to boot custom recovery.
Good luck to your friend!
You might also have more luck posting in the Wildfire sections where they me able to help. It does seem like a Hardware issue with the screen to me? Was it dropped or anything?
It seems like hardware. Probably connection between screen and PCB.
ya his phone dropped many times, ya it seems like hardware issue to me also..

[Q] Gtab SHW-M380K.

Hi guys. I'm encounting some problem with my gtab 10.1. Since it have a very rage model name for you (SHW-M380K), i think this's because it come to me strangly from Korea, I have problem with rooting my tab, sometimes the root permission works, sometimes it's not.
And the ClockWorkMod recovery is acting very weird, its fuctions work as usual but the screen is all messed up, like the noise effect from an old tv, i can't see the words, the only way i could use it is to lock at xrecovery menu images from internet and blindy press buttons, i did my backup this way. (When it comes from the store, the stock recovery work perfectly)
With this two problem, i have not guts to flash any of your beautiful roms, but again, I love to!
Please answer me, would you guys find out what i did wrong with my tab, and (if maybe), what rom can my tab (SHW-M380K) flashs in your prefer?
my tab have 3G, wifi and all other services. So it's hard for me to say which model am i on, yes i'm a noob, and i even am not an english speaker, so sorry for my dump questions and bad english.
Any one please respond, i'm very apriciated if you guys could help me out
Please, anyone could help me?
I don't think our roms would run on your (SHW-M380K) tab. Sorry, but then again, I'm probably wrong

Help Soft Brick

Hello
I wanted flash the rom of my atrix Orange France, with France rom retail,
The Atrix is soft brick
Unable to launch rsd mode or ...
When I pressed the button down one sees displayed nv flash and the phone turn off
If I press the top button, it starts in fastboot
What should I do.
thank you
PS : Sorry for my English
do you have experience with fastboot.
This worked for me in a similar sounding softbrick. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182871 Check to make sure that this applies to your situation first though.
I was at the beginning of a stock rom 2.3.4 orange Fr.
I erase the rom and put a rom 2.3.4 fr.
The phone has never been amended (unlock, costum rom, root...)

http // www youtube com / watch?v=HlSP6odb_Ro
Is it nv flash? If so it is currently unfixable. Here is a quote from a recent thread that I posted.

okay, I am seeing this alot, but everyone else unit seems to shut off before anything can happen, mine does not, it simply stays on. That being said, I am conducting an experiment, since my ATRIX was afflicted I baught a new one because I liked the webtop idea, so im charging my new one to 100% and then im going to swap out batteries and check the results. Has anyone seen any evidence at all that might suggest a possible fix? I will update you guys on the results of my experiment once completed, hopefully I can come across something that will lead someone to a fix if not find one myself.

ZTE V975 - stuck on start up screen

Hi guys,
I'm completely new to modding so bear with me. I bought a ZTE V975 from China, everything was going well until the start up screen got stuck in a loop.
I thought everything would be fine if I entered recovery mode but turns out it's all in Chinese and I've no idea how to sort it out. So any ideas what any of this stuff means and how I might sort the problem out? I assume I need to first root the device, then flash a new rom to it using the micro sd card slot?
Recovery mode looks like this,

Must admit, reasonable specs for the price but terrible build quality if I'm honest.

if it is a mediatek device, then search for the stock rom on google and flash it using spflash tool.

Ah that sounds like a nightmare and the second link is in Russian.
I'm gonna see if a simple factory reset solves the problem. Will let you know how it goes.

Ok I'm not sure what an earth I did but I've somehow managed to get into the phone. I'm now afraid to turn the thing off, incase it gets stuck on the start up screen again. Is there anything I can do whilst it's switched on to sort out this mess?
Cheers

Hi guys,
Seems it is Media Tek afterall. An MTK MT6589. I did a benchmark test and discovered this. Also it's a ZTE v975s but all I can find online is a ZTE Geek V975s which uses an atom cpu rather than the quad core one in this device.
