If it is indeed black then it's not an OEM part. I wonder how the quality would be in that case.
I fully expect to get a blue one, but for $10 shipped its worth trying.
I ordered a black one when they first popped up on ebay. I'll update with pics and info when it gets here. I just plan on using it as a template to see about making alternate material backs so if it's black or actually blue and listed wrong it doesn't matter to me.
Looks like they raised the price. I'll wait to see results. My back has a few weird scuff/wear marks and I'd pay $10 to get a new one to have on hand. They seems like they'd be very easy to replace.
I think it would be awesome if it turned out to be black soft touch even though that isn't original. If the quality was good anyway...

With sprint only offering the midnight blue version, I wanted the white version. I would be interested to see how a midnight blue with one of these white backs look.

Hmm... the black and silver look pretty nice - but I'd expect the price to be a bit less for random parts coming out of Hong Kong. At least the shipping is free though.

over in the i9100 forum for the 2000mah battery+cover they show that the korean version fits but a few of the tabs that secure the side have to be dremel-ed off. im hopeinh since this is coming from korea also thats all ill have to do.

I was look at buying this battery cover when I came across this thread. Seems to be the same as one in the original post, but it's a few bucks cheaper. Fingers crossed it works out!

Confirming this DOES NOT FIT the ATT model. I bought this when I had brought my white SGS II International model back from Thailand, and had used it a couple days on that. they do look nice. But then when I switched to the AT&T model I sold the cover with it. Wish they'd fit the ATT model. The only thing that really concerned me was if the NFC would work through the back, but we likely won't have to worry about that since nobody seems to have any motivation to enable the NFC on our phones, hehe.

You mentioned it was a metal cover over the plastic backing, does this make the phone thicker in any way? Is there now a ridge where the battery cover meets the plastic on the phone?

LUKEN : yes it does have a very small lip/edge to it without the bumper on.
SIMBA: no it does not seem to effect either gps or signal strength.

I just received one of my Cruzerlite cases and it's just as good as every other case they have made. It's very thin and feels great. The case is thinner than my Spigen Neo Hybrid making it very easy to hold vI think I got a defective one because my camera cutout isn't centered so I will be emailing them about that. There quality has airways been top notch (I've had their cases on my Note 3, S5, G3 and Nexus 7 and needless to say they are great. I've dropped my G3 with it on and it was perfectly fine even with a hard fall. I highly recommend their cases.
The TPU stands up very well over time as I have seen on my G3. I've never had any issues with it stretching out or getting any marks on it. The only thing I don't like it's the button cutout but I can get over that for the great build quality. If anyone would like me to post a comparison between the Slim Armor or Neo Hybrid let me know. This is by far my favorite case now that I can compare our to my other two. I had 7 for my 2 G3's but after I sold one of them I only kept 2 of the cases. At the end if the day it's well worth the 9$ for the case. As a note qi works great with it for those who were wondering.
I'll update you guys with what Cruzerlite says about the cutout. I opened a ticked with them on their support page. I still really like their cases despite this defect.
Update: Cruzerlite replied and seek be replacing the case for new. That assured me that the new one won't suffer the same defect so we will see when they ship it out me. I have a black one coming Monday from amazon which I will post pictures of as well.

How hard is it to operate power and volume buttons with case on and holes for buttons?? Does the case get in the way to use buttons or not?

It's not to difficult too use the buttons. You can't accidentally press them because I'd the cut out. I'm used to how the buttons are after using it for a day now, it's not bad at all with my big fingers.

Its just hard enough to where you won't accidentally press them. The nexus has sloping edges so it might seem harder at first but you get used it it. I love the case I just want me skins to get here for it first because I'm paranoid that I will get dirt inside any of my cases and scratch my phone.

Thank you, I've already enjoyed their cases and their customer service is excellent should you need anything. I also get black, clear and green because those are Mt favorite ones so far. I've had/have for various phones clear, black, green, blue, purple, teal, pink, and red. I hope more choices are offered on the future like the big android style instead of the circuit. I still love these cases, they are the best TPU cases I have tried so far and for the price you can't beat it.

Tell me about it, I had ~15 cases for my G3 (I only have 6 now). I already have 4 for my Nexus and counting I think I have a problem. The only case I she on my G3 is the Cruzerlite and I use the Cruzerlite and Neo Hybrid in my Nexus.

Yeah, well I'll probably get the green still because it's Android colored. I'll see if there are any others I like. 5 cases should be fine for now I hope. Usually I change my case 1-2 tomes per week depending on how I feel.

What skin offers protection for drops?
Anyways I like how they also cut out the dimple and put a small logo at the bottom. Just makes it more interesting than just a slab of wood.
Ordered the ebony front/back with 8-bit etching. Will post pictures when I receive it. Order status still says "awaiting fulfillment". I was able to pick up and hold multiple example devices they had at their CES booth, and I absolutely loved the quality. The one I wish they made for the Nexus 6 is the leather. A guy at the booth had the leather on his iPhone for the past few months that he showed me. The wear of the leather made it look absolutely captivating and unique. I loved it.

That's the whole reason I got excited when I approached their booth at CES. Such a simple way to give me the wood back I want, and a bit of protection to keep the actual phone looking nice. I have some 3m film in a roll at the house that I'm tempted to cover the sides since the toast cover doesn't wrap all the way around. It's such a large phone already so I don't want a huge case, but I don't want to run completely naked either. This seems like the perfect way to protect and make it look more gorgeous than it already is.

Surprisingly smooth! It still has that wood, somewhat grainy texture, but very very smooth. So no possibility of splinters!

Just free shipping. They usually don't take too long, this is my third toast (used 2 for previous Moto X's), and they came in fast. I think it's just because this was a brand new product and they released it before the weekend, so they didn't actually start making things till yesterday or today. Best of luck to you and getting yours! I'm looking forward to mine.

Did you just stick it directly onto the original back of the phone? I think I read somewhere that someone had removed the back cover of the phone and replaced it with the Toast cover. That's what I can't decide.. Whether to replace the back cover with the Toast, or just stick it directly to the back. Is it raised any at all on the edges to cause a little annoyance when gripping the phone?
I'm currently undergoing the issue of having the back peel off my nexus 6 and I've only had it for a week so I don't have another $600.00 for them to place a hold on my account for a replacement. On google+ a guy sent me a link and said these might be wood replacement backs. He said somebody posted a pic of it and said they are actual replacement backs not just skins. If they are backs I plan on buying one now

These are simply skins that stick over the back, not replacement back panels. If you need a new back panel, they're on ebay with adhesive skin to apply them similar to stock. Goodluck.
Yes you can buy new white and blue back panels from ebay. They are perfect replacements.

Just to add to this, yes they are an adhesive skin, but they are real wood, and not a thin flimsy decal. If you read the original @slickwraps thread, people have removed the plastic nexus backing, and put the Naturals bamboo skin as a replacement, and it was a perfect fit, but it wasnt meant to be a replacement and not marketed as such. (The Naturals line, both leather and wood, are much thicker than flimsy plastic decals since they are real leather and wood)
I myself own a few of the Slickwraps Naturals products, and I have to say I am impressed with the quality.
I have the dark brown leather as my back and I removed the stock back. It fits 100% perfect and I love it! I also bought a spare OEM back in case I need it. The bamboo might need some sanding to fit flush I haven't tried it with mine yet but if and when I do I'll post some pictures.

OK no problem and yes I bought the spare OEM back on eBay from a seller in NJ. The leather is on my phone so I'll take some pictures for you. I just applied some conditioner so it's wet but I have a older picture of when I first installed it that I'll post right now below for you. I'll add new pictures once the constraints l conditioner is done drying. I"aged" the leather because it looks better with some wear on it.

i also bought an extra back from ebay. received it yesterday but the curved part of the letter "u" was not in place. it had come off. i put it back in place no problem but it leads me to think they will come off easy. another thing i noticed is that the ebay one, the "nexus" letters are chrome and the ones that actually come on the phone are silver.
good thing i got the ebay one to play with it. i'm going to end up painting it or something. haven't decided what yet.

The one I bought is fine and identical to my OEM one that I took off my phone. I can post a side by side if you would like. It could be a different supplier for the back or something because most people have had good experiences with the ones from eBay. I'm not saying there aren't bad ones out there but I received a good one.

yeah it looks like it fits just fine.
i'm currently using a slickwraps wood skin on my stock one.
I want to paint the ebay one, i just dont know what color or what.
This is a very beautifull case. I think is over price at $20 but been a official samsung case and lower than last year cover case ($35) i think is worth it if u really want a miniman look no case like cover and keep ur device beautifull look.
I had the case for 2 days. Very happy with it and no scratches yet. The color is a very orchard grey like which maches perfect with all the phone colors avail. Snap easily and very tight fit. All cut outs are in perfect position. Not much grip since is plastic.

I ordered the same one today from Amazon.
Is there an overhanging lip on the top and bottom that prevents the screen from touching if laid face-down?

Looks blue is only available for prime. What color did you get? Is silver actually clear? I have a black S8 not sure if the colors of the covers are that much different. I got a 30% off accessories from Samsung so I might use that but stupid me didn't pre-order so I might get that and a VR or just wait on the VR.

Yeah it has a lip to be facedown without touching the screen

Is transparent dark grey. Looks like the back of the orchard grey version. Nowhere near blue. Still going strong. No scratch yet. which is what worries me about plastic hard cover case.

Well it better be going strong you probably just got it. hehe You probably could put maybe some clear tape or screen protector to prevent scratches. The Samsung clear covers are the only ones I buy. At times buy a cheap more bulky case to use when I'm golfing and drinking. I wonder if any stores have the cases in stock. I didn't see any at T-Mobile.

I can't make up my mind between the orchid gray or silver. I didn't care for the orchid gray kind of makes the back look purple or maybe just the lighting in the picture. I've always got the silver and it makes the phone pop a tad more. imo Just a personal preference thing.

Plastic... Samsung has 4 colors. Black, blue, silver and orchid gray (picture in OP).

U should definitly look around in tmobile cause thats was where i got it. They had like 10 availa. All other official samsung case were also avail. I was actuallu surprise for the $20 price tag since samsung has been way overprices on this cover. Always $35-$40

Yeah is hard plastic thin case (not tpu? Official samsung clear cover case for s8 which looks different from their older models on the s7 or s6.

I got mine at Fry's. Love it and others that see it love it as well. They assume I'm not using a case.
I'm waiting for damn Samsung to get them in stock. I should get it for $13 with 30% email code and saying $18.50 on sale.

Go to tmobile buy it for $20, use it. When u get urs from samsung return the tmobile version to the store.

Try going to a corporate store. Thats were most tmonile have it. But i bet alot of them are sold out. I was the first one in on launch day and they offer me like 5 cases. Screen protectors, usb type c, charger, battery backup, s3 watch etc. I must have said no like 20 times.
I could imagine pushing accesories to buyers they would run out of inventory pretty quick.
