[Q] Frozen htc one m8 - AT&T HTC One (M8)

I was flashing a google play edition rom onto my phone and when i did that i also had the harman karmon speakers flashed and my phone went into the HTC boot screen. The screen never loaded into the phone so i waited for it to die. After it died i went into the bootloader and tried to boot into recovery to wipe the phone, but when i got into the bootloader my phone said CID incorrect
"press the power button to restart". I did this and it just does the same thing, never loads into the phone and always says CID incorrect. please help. My phone is rooted, has s-off, and unlocked bootloader. any suggestions would be appreciated

If you installed HK by the following thread, it says right there it doesn't work with GPE: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2737498
Or did you follow some other process?
Is anything else showing up on the bootloader screen, is it trying to install an update? I don't think I've seen this before, where it says incorrect CID in bootloader, unless its trying to install something.

How too tell if it's unlocked?

I know this seems like a dumb question but I assure you there is some logic to it.
My dopey friend started to unlock his Prime, but his connection via USB came undone and he says that the unlocking "failed". He came to me asking if it worked or not. I'm no expert, but I am curious.
Here are the variables:
1. When I attempt to run Unlock Device, everything prompts you like it's never been done.
2. When booting with power and voldown, it quickly flashes something like "android userh bootloader version 1.20 us_eepad blah blah" then gives the option for cold boot or wipe data.
3. ROM manager doesn't have CWM installed and when selecting boot into recovery, it simply restarts the device.
The device seems to be rooted though.
Thoughts?
Contact Asus through e-mail or phone call, give them the serial number and ask if it's unlocked.
Or see if you can download the OTA update, if it bricks, then it's unlocked.
If it does not give you the fastboot option together with wipe data and cold boot it is not unlocked
There should be a file called Unlock_Time.txt on your tablets memory.(at least I think that's created when you unlock the device)

Unlocking Bootloader

Hey Guys,
I'm not an expert at this. I recently took my rooted phone to a phone shop and the guy said he could unlock my phone for me for £10.00. He did it, but since then my phone restarts during calls.. I asked the guy to fix it and he said "because my phone is rooted, the kernel was damaged". Now, am i correct in thinking that the kernel can just be re-flashed along with a new rom? I have added custom roms to this phone before but now I cant unlock the boot loader. It won't work in flashtool, it gives me a "your phones bootloader cannot be unlocked". Any ideas?

[Q] adb not reading device

Alright guys, Ive been trying to fix my friends DNA i guess from what he said is that he had a system update happen on his phone and it would just stay on the "HTC Quite Brilliant" Page. I tried a factory reset, and that didn't do anything, I went into recovery to wipe cache partition. I also tried wipe data/factory reset from recovery as well as hboot. so i got adb and i plugged the phone in while on fastboot. "adb devices" Shows nothing its just blank underneath the listed devices. So i figured that the drivers wont install i installed htc sync manager as advertised has the supporting drivers. Htc sync manager reads the device but doesn't say its a DNA it just says that its rom number. I tried to go to fastboot and put a previous dated RUU on but it had a error and just couldn't do anything with the phone. So now i went into the recovery and behind the menu screen it says "updating software from verizon wireless" but theres a issue with that is that the sim card in it isnt activated anymore so theres no data going to that phone if it is updating and if it downloaded the os to the phone it should be wiped since i did a factory reset 3 times and wiped cache 3 times as well.
So What i think is wrong is that:
I need usb Debugging on
S is on
Drivers wont install properly
I may need a active sim card to pass the updating?

I tried to unlock the device to see if this would help out and i got it connected and i went and i got the token for the device and went to get the tocken and it came back with a error code
Error Code: 160.
Error Reason: MID Not Allowed.
Can someone please help me out here?
I was missing android sdk and i installed android sdk, and my device will read in adb but when i got to flash a udate it will read signature error. but im not using the word update im using "fastboot flash hboot hboot.img" and so forth and its not working i still cant get the hboot to unlock. please help me figure out if its possible to fix this phone im really determined to fix it and i need alittle bit of help.
Unfortunately, unless you can boot into the ROM, you cannot unlock this phone. I suggest contacting HTC support and let them know the update soft bricked the device and since you cannot unlock it, you need their help in getting it to boot again. HTC is very good when it comes to support, even for phones that are out of warranty. Support staff have been instructed to fix any m7 even if out of warranty period for the camera issue (talked to a rep personally on this issue today when making small talk). I am sure if their update borked your phone and it hasn't been tampered, they will fix it free of charge. What's the worse they can say, no?
Sent from my One using XDA Free mobile app
I contacted there support 2 times on the phone and once trying to live chat and i got hung up on twice.. so im at loss here
Im really not happy with htc they cant tell me anything to any cause to why there update would cause the softbrick on the phone itself did anyone else have a issue with 4.09 update bricking your phone?? and did anyone find a solution for it?

one max stucked, strange colours

Hi, this is my story, i bouggt a sprint one max and unlocked it with htcdev method. All went well, later i tried to install unsecure kernel, root and s-off rumrunner method. Reason i wanted to do this is because the phone doesnt work in my country and wanted to unlock the sim so i could use mine.
After flashing adrenaline rom the phone got stuck in an endless loop of colours. It shows me the htc white screen and as it tries to boot the screen fill with colours that are changeing and the phone becomes unusable.
I have twrp installed and working, fastboot connects sometimes if i reinstall the drivers, i can adb sideload a rom but the same screen comes up. How do i revert to stock sprint? Phone is on hboot 2.49

Soft Bricked AT&T HTC One M8

Hello, I am new to the forum and this is my first post so please excuse if I don't do everything just right.
I am pretty good at IT stuff but until now Android has not been something I have worked with other than using my phone.
I have an AT&T totally stock HTC One M8. It's been good and reliable until a few weeks ago. Woke up to it asking me to input an encryption password. Never set one.
So I have tried just about everything I can to get it back working. Don't care about the data that's on it.
Can boot into Bootloader. The phone is LOCKED and S-On. Have tried to unlock via HTCdev. The commands work and the unlock screen shows up on my phone but after it reboots and I get back to bootloader it still shows as locked.
Tried adding the newest RUU to my SD card and installing that way. It finds it and starts installing. Then it says press power to reboot and goes back to same as before. No change.
Not sure what to do. Tried to post two pics of screen shots but can't because I am a new user. Any help would be extremely appreciated.
Thank you
