[Q] (Help) Rooting iBall Andi4-B2 3G - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Had tried these apks: Towelroot, Framaroot, Root Master; though none of'em worked perfectly though Framaroot did work to some extent rendering: "Half Success. Use local.prop trick"
At last tried iRoot.apk and it rendered "Rooting Succeeded' message; but while checking with Root Checker it displayed: "This device doesn't have proper Root Access". :/
The iRoot App also installed some Chinese crap app and I think it's now been taken as an system app by my phone. Even if i perform Factory Reset, this crap app doesn't go off!
Here in India, we get some cool offers on maiden App installation. After these Chinese Crap got installed the Android ID linked with the phone doesn't get changed after factory reset I suppose. My idea was to install DonkeyGuard to change Android ID during multiple installation of apps. Previously I'd Factory reset every time to install Alps multiple times but after that Chinese crap got installed, even android I'd isn't changing with Factory Reset. Plz help!

every reboot is a hard reset

Hi,
I have an lg c800 -- mytouch q by lg
I rooted it yesterday and removed all the bloat. I also installed several root only apps to optimize the phone.
It ran smoother than even right out of the box.
So, I figured it be a good idea to backup the rom, and maybe later try cyanogenmod... So I installed Rom Manager by clockworkmod
It said i needed to install clockwork recovery rom. I went in there but it said my device was unsupported (only like 12 were) so I backed out,
and stupidly hit TWRP listed under "Recovery Already Installed". (thinking that meant what options I had to SETUP a recovery/backup)
I hit backup rom. almost instantly the phone restarted. After the bios, but before android it went to a screen with a box, and an arrow pointing from the inside of the box to the little android man. Then went to the regular android boot screen.
It does this every reboot now. The SuperSU is still there, whenever Rom Manager (which I have to reinstall each reboot) asks for root access I get that dialog box, so it hasn't actually hard reset the phone I don't think. But all the user data, contacts, apps, wifi passwords, google id "(to access Play) get wiped out.
I understand what I did wrong. I think I understand what its doing (booting to the factory rom as it was, and I can't set it to stop doing it each reboot)
What I need help with is getting back, if possible, to what I had previously, among other things, I had a bunch of tasker profiles and notes that will be time consuming to replace.
Thank you for your help.
EDIT: SuperSU is now listed among the factory installed apps. This is unchanged each reboot.
Question: If I unroot the phone what that invalidate Rom Managers ability to run before android boots?

Tryed to root but root has deleted everything!

[Q] Security Notice blocking Vroot MJ7

I was able to successfully root using vroot on MJ7 and got the Chinese suoeruser.I verified I had root via Root Checker Basic. When I opened terminal emulator and entered the two line codes, the phone rebooted and I lost root. I did not get SuperSU installed and every time I try to root again via Chinese Vroot the program states I rooted successfully with a blue check mark but the phone is not actually rooted. I downloaded Supersu manually but it is missing binaries. What am I doing wrong? I deleted user data and factory reset the phone from boot menu many times but still I get the same result. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I had not placed the phone in airplane mode initially so I don't know if that made a difference. Now when I try to vroot the phone, I get the security notice stating an attempt to access a secure area of the phone was blocked. Is there a work a round for this? I am really frustrated. All I want is to is to get free wifi tether with my unlimited data plan. If I can do that without root even better.

Okay. I got this phone off amazon as an unlocked phone. I has been working fine for several months, but it is short on internal memory because the internal memory it is almost completely consumed by bloatware. I rooted it using Super One Click 2.2 so I could delete some bloatware. After rooting I could not connect to my wifi (which I always have been able to connect to with this phone without issue). All I get is "Acquiring IP Address". Here is what I have tried so far that has not worked.
1. Factory Reset (4 times).
2. Master Hard Reset with wipe.
3. Router reboot and unplugging it.
4. Clearing Router mac address table.
5. Unrooting phone and factory reset.
6. Custom "ADD WIFI Network"
7. Using "Static IP" workaround.
8. Changed Router SSID and network security to OPEN (no security).
None of the above have worked. I think I know what might have caused the problem. I performed the root with the Super One Click app. During the rooting process it came up and said, "Busybox not installed. Would you like to install it." I figured it was needed for rooting so I let it install Busybox. After doing some searching on connection issues after rooting, I found other people blaming busybox for the problem. I have no idea what Busybox is or if it is the cause. I assumed that if I did a master hard reset that it would fix the phone, but it remained rooted even after the master hard reset, which tells me that some of the things that rooting the phone did cannot be undone by a master hard reset. I used Super One Click to unroot the phone, but the problem still persist.
I believe the only way to fix this problem is to flash the phone with the original rom (or other good rom). I need a walk through on how to do this and a source for the rom. Can anyone help me? Thanks

When rooting went south [Murphy's Law] Samsung s2 i9100

Hi everyone... this explanation may be long but I'll try to put my problem in context, please patience!
First, I have years of experience coding stand alone applications and programs but close to none in Android or web development experience... so ... been confident that I could do something as simple ("Yeh right!") as rooting, why should I backup anything from my phone? Big mistake...
My S2 was getting old, space was getting limited and at first I downloaded some cleaning apps (Clean Master) was good for a time but then I had to start uninstalling some of my favorite applications to keep the phone fully operational. After a while I had nothing else to install, as programmed obsolecense was getting my ass, so I decided to find out some ways to get some room in and I found External2Internal app to use my SD as InternalMem, it did the trick except that there still was the "not enough space" message and some apps still refused to install due to the lack of room. So, basically this only modified the reported space in the Storage section of settings.
How I did this? Well, installed KingRoot and then APK Uninstaller with root and External2Internal to finish the trick.
As the problems continued I decided to research more, found out that there was a "better" way, more 1337 way to ROOT and that was installing a Kernel/ROM that was rooted and that would even improve my OS. So I took a tutorial on youtube and Installed "Siyah-s2-v6.0b5" using ODIN and "I9100 XWLSN .NeatROM.Lite.v4.6.1" with Recovery Mode -> Install ZIP from SD. At the end the CMW kept saying that I needed a upgraded version of it and SU needed to be updated but it failed everytime.
After each attempt I wiped to factory settings, cache, battery and even some delvik...
Nothing worked, I downloaded a console simulator to be certain about the rooting and surprise! It wasn't rooted at all...
Then I downloaded CMW update... SU Update... Syrah update... then tried with 4.6 NeatRom Apollo Kernel....:crying:
Now... the phone won't start... it can go into download mode and recovery mode but after ... nothing... I doesn't show anything pass the Samsung Galaxy S ii start screen with the admiration sign < ! > with the triangle.
I Factory reset, wiped everything and still nothing... doesn't start properly.
PLEASE HELP!!!
[bump] please help!
