ZTE has announced Lollipop for the Z7 Max (not sure about the mini, haven't checked). A beta rom is available in the official nubia forums.
I have been buying phones from China for the last 10 years and I have to say this is the most regularly updated phone I have ever had. My expectations from all previous phones is to ensure it is running the latest code when purchasing it because you will never see any updates for it. So it would be no surprise to me that Nubia would release 5.0 for all its models. Will definitely be buying another Nubia when its time to update.

Do you have any info about Android 5.0 (Lollipop) for our Honor/Mediapad X1 ?
I kinda would also love to know about Huawei updates, in my case for MediaPad M1. But wer are dealing with Huawei here (my first Android device ever was U8880...) and the X1 been only out since april 2014 and M1 since may 2014, making these devices barely 6 months old, i think tho, if we are not seeing official updates once the devices are ~1 year old, we aint gettin anything. As of now, my device has the stock firmware, that's Android 4.2.2 with EMUI 2.0 and not a single update available, at this point, even update to 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 with EMUI 2.3 or 3 would be friggin marvelous.

I came across one site that claims to have lollipop ROM.

99% a hoax.
Few things gave it away:
1) It claimed to be from xda-developers, now I don't see any lollipop rom for X1 here, do u?
2) I don't think any rom for lollipop will be as small as 128MB, and in these days, I don't think any uploader will be splitting a 128MB file into 3 parts, unless ..
3) .. all he/she wants is for the potential downloader to complete as many surveys as possible! Any download that require one to complete a survey beforehand is usually shady.
Proceed with caution if you still wish to find out for yourself.

Please note that sometime ago Huawei declared a list of devices that would get Lollipop update. Mediapad X1 was not listed. So don't expect any upgrade to Lollipop for our device from the manufacturer.

Dear even if Huawei provide lollipop rom upgrade to x1, it is not going to make any difference. Have you watched videos of x2? There is no difference in the UI of X1 with Kitkat or X2 with Lollipop, as both have EMUI 3.x. IMHO the real joy of having Lollipop is with the stock experience and with tweaks added from CM.

I have posted two treads here about the "M1" i didn't get any satisfy answers. And main point is Every other Huawei products getting EMUI 3.0 or 2.3 update with android firmware upgrade but there are no updates for MediaPad M1? When i search M1 stock firmware it's very hard to find? It's very new product introduced with X1.
But what happened, i think is huawei abandonment this product. So bad.....!

no issues so far, and it's much smoother than 4.2.2.

You can find your s8-301L firmware here but s8-301U got nothing. Only i found updates for s8-301L & s8-301W only.

i was using Mokee 4.4.4 and since a few weeks I'm using Mokee 5.0.2
It is a rom like CM12 but with some customization, not as many as AOKP but still more than in CM12
It is multilangual and as stable as cm12

did someone already download it ? If yes is it possible to upload it somewhere else like mega ?

I'm using the previous version (1st march) and I used it daily
i don't use 2 sim cards.
I had 1 reboot (not a wished, it was because of a crash) in nearly one month

The previous version dual SIM worked very well. I'll know if the dual SIM will work well for the new version later this week as I will be travelling.
Yes I'm using it for a daily work phone as I rely on it. Thou I have my ultra-stable iPhone 6 as my personal phone/backup :victory:

I think I get more spontaneous reboots with this new version than with the last version. However, it could be due to the memory leak issue all Android Lollipop phones have and isn't fixed until 5.1
Hoping to see Mokee 5.02 upgrade soon to 5.1 and integrate native dual SIM support...

This has been confirmed in several posts on some of the Chinese bbs. Apparently, someone has released a temporary fix; although, I haven't tried it yet. I agree, I'm having the same problem. Additionally, it vibrates for everything. I currently have it set to vibrate only on phone and SMS, yet it does for everything and I cannot find out how to make it stop.

I didn't noticed this kind of error
but I admit this is because of my config => my phone does not vibrate and it is my xiaomi MiBand who vibrate for specific notifications
does anybody have a custom recovery that works with android 5.0 on z7 mini.
I have stock 5.0 installed and wanted to flash the newest mokee. but when i want to make a backup through the old mokee cwm, but it always says "cant mount data".I would thing thats because of the changed partitions.
Anyway, is there any (non-chinese) recovery that i can use with stock 5.0?

Here in the z7 mini rom thread on post 781 (top) is a link to TWRP 2.8.5.0. However, I don't know if the new mokee works after flashing the nubia version of 5.0 because I don't think (someone can correct me) the mokee uses unified storage yet. Can someone verify this?

I did not tried it right now as i'm still discoverng this android 5 by nubia...
i just tried it 1 min and can already say that I may switch to mokee soon (I'll try the nubia rom 1 week I guess..)
the UI feels slow
I don't like the nubia theme
and beside of that, the French translation f(cuoco92 rom) is partial and canadian only (other timezone, other clock format, other keyboard layout...)
nubia's rom seems more unstable than mokee (from the first comments I read on cuoco92 facebook page)
it is also very BIG (double the size...)
If you are afraid of bricking the phone, you can also use the stupid chinese tool to install again kitkat on the phone, then install again mokee
but i guess (not sure !!!! ) that it should be possible to install mokee without doing this pain in the ass trick :/

No, you cannot. See this thread on the Nubia forum. CM12 and Mokee are still technically considered 4.4 because they do not use the unified storage. You will most likely brick the phone if you attempt to flash it. You have to first use the Nubia updater to go back to at least 1.82, then you can use CM12 or Mokee.

Fingers crossed it improves my X1's reception. Very happy with my Z Ultra, solid reception, great screen and fantastic support already on 5.1.1 with the recent OTA update. HUAWEI and a lot of other manufacturers could lean a lot from Sony...

Hello everyone.
I'm asking this because i'm interested in buying this phone and in one store it say that it come with android 5.1 but I can't find record of that update anywhere, every source I've consulted says it's stuck on Kit Kat and that there are no plans of updating. Can anyone confirm this?
Also what do you think of the phone, from what I saw it seems to perform quite well and should be a good upgrade from my LG E975, but I'm also a bit torn because I can get an ASUS ZenFone 2 Deluxe for around the same price, both heavily discounted.

Dont worry. Its normal for china phones to not have play store pre-installed. And also dont worry about non showing update. You need to update via pc first (because it repartitions your storage) Do you have the normal z7 (Nx506j)? Or do you have the mini or max version?
