Quick question but please help - Sprint LG G3

Hello,
Can I flash verzion g3 roms on my sprint g3? And if so are there any thing that doesn't work?

No
Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk

Like it wont work at all?

Wrong thread, and no.

Where are the mods? There's a few threads here that shouldn't be.

Maybe they are just to busy with the 8000 roms popping up for the other carriers that I've hated for awhile now & even more so now.

Wrong thread. Yes. However. Yes you can. I've personally flashed several carrier ROMs using sprint kernel afterwords. Verizon however I get borked data. Fc settings. Tmo usually I can get OK but I do not suggest this to anyone that doesn't prepare for issues. Knowing a bit from owning g2 will help. It is same principle ...just I had too much fun one day. Wound up flashtool but I enjoy flash tool etc. I do not condone. Its your phone. Be safe. Make backup. I did not give thumbs up. Just answering you best I can in truth. You'll play a while trying to get CDMA too often.

Ok thank you so mucj for your response, well in that case I guess I won't do it.

Hey, this guy post in android development, & now he post in original android development. Every time I check threads I think we've got some new roms/kernels etc, just to have it be someone asking a question. MODS, please wake up & move these threads please

How do I go back to stock?

Hey guys! Long story short, I unlocked, rooted and installed Clockwork as my recovery and it kept hanging when I was trying to do a backup.
I got frustrated and impatient so I just flashed CleanRom without doing a backup first. I love CleanRom and all, but if I wanted, can I go back to stock now that I don't have a backup?
Any info would be appreciated, thanks!
What is your definition of stock? Unrooted? Relocked? Untouched rom? Somemore information would be helpful to guide you in the right direction.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk
If you want to go back to stock. Relock your phone and grab the RUU. It will put you back from whence you came.
Uber :facepalm
First and foremost read THIS from beginning to end. Stop posting questions in the Dev section...despite how special you think you are...you're not. Post in general or maybe searching is a great idea.
If you want a stock ROM here. To go back to complete stock you need to relock the phone and flash the latest RUU IIRC...

I just mean rooted but without a rom. Basically all of the same bloat, files, etc that the phone came with.

I would say you're the dumb ass here buddy. Development forum is for exactly that: DEVELOPMENT. How many times does it need to be said? Apparently quite a few for it to get through the thick heads of people like you.
Someone is having a bad case of the mondays,, or just a plain jerk..
Guys, can we stop the fighting? I've already apologized for posting in the wrong forum. That's my bad.
Can a mod please move this? Or even close it will be fine since I got the info that I needed.
Thanks!

Are you a mod? Don't you have anything better to do than hide behind a computer and act tough. People like you are the reason XDA fell apart. Grow up act like an adult, if you can't help someone than keep your mouth shut. Let the mods do their job

Most of the ROMs available are basically stock with minor, stable modifications. I feel pretty stock on ineffabilis and it feels true to the phone.

People posting in wrong sections and asking questions that have been asked about a million times get's very annoying. Have at it if that is what YOU want...if the OP would've used the search function, he/she would've found what they were looking for.
If you guys want to continue to baby people and spoon feed information to them then knock yourself out. If you post a new thread non-development thread in a development thread be prepared.
Jesus H. Christ on a pogostick, people. A "Development" forum isn't just for the Devs. It's also for people using the fruits of the devs' labors. Sometimes, they have questions. If they didn't, they'd probably be developing on their own, and XDA wouldn't need to exist. Sure, using search is advisable, dare I say it, recommended. But there is no reason to get nasty.
I've been a part of XDA since WinMo 5, and I left for a long time due to nastiness like this. I'm no developer. I just use what gets made, and I'm damn grateful for it. But there a reason XDA is slowly seeing a mass exodus to RootzWiki: Less (but still existent) dickery. Yes, what the devs do is a courtesy to the community. No, they shouldn't have to answer the sane questions repeatedly. The search doesn't always cut it, and it isn't always used. Wouldn't it just be easier to either quickly answer and encourage search usage politely or to quote and respond with a link to the relevant post? Even better yet, those of us that aren't devs but are at least semi-knowledgeable could give our service to the board and aid the devs by politely answering in their stead. Novel frickin idea.

If you took one peep at my first post in this thread I provided the OP exactly what he was looking for and more. I didn't just be a **** and exit the thread as I have seen quite a bit on this particular forum. Do you realize more than half the time the Devs aren't the ones answering the repeated questions?
Anyway..you guys can continue to cuddle each others nuts and babysit one another and provide no help to the OP.
I'll exit this thread by quoting one of the Rezound forum Moderaters:

As is stated, do not post your questions in development forum. Before you start a new thread ask yourself this: "is what I'm posting a rom or a kernel?" or "is this a guide for development?"
If it is none of those, then post it in another forum.
Thanks..

Questions go in general forum until there is a q&a forum. OP got his information, and no one was a douche about telling him where to post. Education isn't bad.

Unlocked bootloader and loss of Wimax

Are there any developments in getting Wimax to work with unlocked bootloaders? I would love to run CM on my photon, been a CM user for years, but I really need to be able to tether wimax for my work.

Then thats bad news because on twitter motorola posted that They dont have older devices in their plans to unlock bootloaders
Hmm, this post is still here in the development section...
I guess I'm gonna have to be the one to report it? That'll be 2 posts in then last week I've reported to be moved to the proper section!
Seriously tho, like mentioned above, what is good with people lately? I swear that people don't like to READ and would instead rather post a question (in the WRONG section at that) that has been asked and answered numerous times filling up the forums with repetitive questions and in return, eventually hiding the actual answers!
OP, if you had simply read thru the "Stickies" in this section, you would have VERY quickly FOUND your answer!

Whatever Happened to the Forum Merge?

Yes I know it's a question, but I stuck it in general because it's about the subforum in general.
Few months ago it was decided the AT&T forums would be merged with the International forums as a lot of the stuff from there would work with the AT&T One and vice versa. It's also a pain to keep going back and forth between the two fourms. If it's not gonna happen at this point that's fine, I'm just wondering what's up.
Thank you
Just wait
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
I bet they changed their minds.
I think they should merge them and just leave an AT&T subthread.

Not gonna happen after all. Something about LTE and firmware being different enough to keep the forums separate.

It sucks though, I was one of the biggest supporters for the merge... But in the end I can respect the decision to keep it separate. If it saves one person from bricking their device, then it's worth it.
Any chance we could get a GPE subforum to separate it from the sense stuff?

Anyway to flash a rom with ME7 Update?

Has anyone figured out a work around to at least flash a rom on the ME7? I hate this stock crap with all the bloatware and nonsense on it.
I tried using the search but a lot of threads came up that were irrelevant.
Theres no recovery available for ME7, so no. You cant flash anything.

Well you can root it, delete stuff, and actually have a pretty decent phone. If you want to flash a custom Rom you are out of luck unless you sell it and buy something else. But this is a great phone with stock rom. Everything works and works well. Take a look at the aosp threads, problems galore. Aroma installer roms only problems. Ok I'll get flamed but I don't care. Stock on the s4 is unbeatable. So don't trash it. Live with probably the best phone on the market now.l

I agree stock is great when you debloat it. When I had my s3 it was probably 8 months before I decided to rom it.

Dev's,
I just wanted to make a post saying that yes, there are people here interested in ROM's, and YES we do appreciate your work.
I am patiently waiting for a working CM10 or 4.4 AOSP, and don't really mind the time it takes to build as long as its solid.
i will test where i can

Houstonn is kicking ass, but the information is terribly difficult to find
http://downloads.codefi.re/houstonn/me/test
that SHOULD be the 4.4 AOSP build for sprint. i have not yet tested. one in the thread did, and said everything worked.
good luck guys, and go post in the thread if you see bugs, because i dont know if there will ever be a dedicated thread in this forum for it..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2502789
dont be stupid and not read the thread some before installing, looks like full wipe and twrp/cwm (maybe one or the other) will be required
Running pretty smooth here. Data works great, SMS, MMS, WiFi... I don't have any complaints.

Well a couple of reasons for that. The G2 for Sprint came out almost a month after the other G2 variants. Also, CDMA phones have always been the step child of Android Development.
Rest assure there is development for this phone. I have personally tested a few 4.3.x and 4.4 roms. The devs don't want to release half ass stuff. When the threads start here, they will be close to perfect.
Patience grasshopper.

its actually nice to hear that someone is working on it.
I had a Gnex and the development was explosive compared to the G2 (not surprisingly), but as I'm sure you can see in this forum, it looks pretty empty.
Without a doubt i am grateful for every dev who is working on Roms for our phone, but without any forum movement, it looks pretty stagnant. Your response is nice to see, and I am sure that I'm not the only one who is happy to hear that there is someone somewhere trying to help the bastard stepchild of the G2 world out
