Steam/Local Games Setup For Steaming to Z3C - Xperia Z3 Compact Themes and Apps

The Xperia Z3 line comes with the Playstation Connect to stream games to your Xperia device, and that is fine if you have a PlayStation. If you have a computer or gaming/media center with local games or running Steam, or both, and a Nvidia graphics card, you can create the same streaming experience as the PlayStation Connect setup. Here is what I have found that works.
You will need;
1. Xperia Z3 device
2. Gaming/media box or computer with an Nvidia graphics card and drivers with the Nvidia's GameStream software installed (included in Nvidia driver download.)
3. Gaming controller attached to the gaming box. (I use a wireless Xbox 360 controller.)
4. Limelight Game Streaming app installed (found in the Google Play App Store.) This allows you to connect to GameStream without having an Nvidia Shield Tablet.
5. Optional: mount for your controller and Xperia device; UtorCase (Find your controller and Xperia device, they have them all.)
Use the Limelight app to connect to gaming box via your wifi network and instantly see all your local and Steam games.
That is it!

This sounds great. Can you share some screens of this process in action.

can you control this tab through your pc to like play games

gan you play games on your tab through your pc
Well I'm not completely sure what you mean, but a good desktop streamer should do the trick.
I have Splashtop Remote Desktop HD and I tried to play some games on my tab with it (with a keyboard connected to the tab) and it worked better then I expected (almost no input lag etc). Mind you, it was on home Wi-Fi, with the comp wired to the router. Also, I had to play the game windowed (no problem if you have a no boarder window on the game).
i want to be able to play modern combat 3 on mt laptop i have it on my phone and tab
You can control your tab through your PC if it is rooted, but how you want to do it, it isn't possible from my knowledge.

PC games on Xperia Mini Pro.

Ok guys, with the lack of xperia mini pro keyboard support by android games, i found another solution:
Splashtop remote desktop.
Just install PC games which don't require a mouse, and play them through splashtop.
Pros:
- Much more game available.
- You don't use as much as phone resources as a "inside game".
- PC quality high graphics games on your phone.
- You can really enjoy the xperia mini pro as it was the xperia play.
cons:
- constant good internet connection needed.
- pc must be on all the time so you can login from anywhere.
PS:
This also works for OnLive*. I could play assassin creed's free trial for 10 minutes and perform all the moves. Some were harder but still, it's great to see that even if your keyboard is not supported directly, it's still possible remotely.
* Not OnLive Android App. OnLive Desktop which you will start from your phone with splashtop, so the keyboard of your mini will be fully functional.
note: No, there was no latency. Couldn't believe it myself.

good idea man. will try this.
oh and u actually can control the games using a mouse. u need a logitech or any wireless or usb mouse i guess.
I think splashtop uses some kind of VNC server/client alike right? What about input latency? Because the last time i tried to stream my game to ipod touch, it suffers from a very delayed input, and choppy video.

[Q] All possible android tv box gaming solutions!!?

Hi,
I am interested in gaming over my imito mx1 android tv stick, but unfortunately the rom is not installed with the required touch screen drivers! so we can't use six axis or gamekeyboard applications for games emulation
so I searched and think about any other temporary solutions to play but non of them had all what I want!
For example:
1) PS3 controller & Xbox is restricted to some games like gta, shadow gun, sonic episode II..
2) Droidmote also work for some with addition of some accelerometer games "although it didn't work on my xperia play but work with the mk808 remote application! I didn't know why" . But in overall, I am not comfortable to play with touch game pad, hard buttons is the best! ( Yes I know that I can use my xperia play game pad to play as an option in the droidmote but as I said this is for some games, not all)
3) Moga game pad is a good temporary solution I think because it can play some extra cool gameloft games, so I am thinking to buy one!
4) Off course, the best solution is to wait a "Hero Developer" how can introduce a new rom with implemented touch drivers!!!
But untill that time, I tried another solution that to make some configuration in the keylayout fils of the PS3 controller to emulate the keylayout of my xperia play, so by that I think that I will be able to control all xperia play optimized games on my imito mx1!! BUT OFF COURSE I DIDN'T SUCCEED BECAUSE OF MY RESTRICTED KNOWLEDGE IN THIS FIELD
So, I need your help and suggestions!
Thank you.

with the last versions of DroidMote Client and DroidMote Server, when you connect your hardware controller to the device with DroidMOte Client installed, you forwards the command of the hardware controller to DroidMote Server.
In this mode you can play also with all android multi-touch games with your hardware controller.
and with your harddware controller, you can press all buttons and axis simultaneously. (many touch points at server side.)
look the DroidMote Forum to understand all about DroidMote
with the same technique, and DroidMote Server for windows, you can play also all multi-touch windows 8 games
bye bye and look this:

Thank you for rresponse, I appreciate that and also I am appreciating your great application, but we still talking about many other games that not recognize all needed inputs from the droidmote client or in general from other gamepads like PS3 or Xbox !!
I want to know the real name of action of my xperia play buttons to use it for configuration other keylayout controller,
so for example, when I press x button in my xperia play with scan code 304 or circle button with scan code 305, this make the avater in gangstar rio jumb or chang weapons!!
becuase I put d pad center for the x button and back for circle button as a names function but with no success!!
thank you.

this are all keyevent:
http://developer.android.com/reference/android/view/KeyEvent.html
and you must create / customize your keylayout in /system/usr/keylayout in this mode:
http://source.android.com/tech/input/key-layout-files.html
this is the same way you personalize DroidMote configurations file /system/usr/keylayout/droidmote.kl
if a game support a controller or a keyboard, you can do all that you want. with the keylayouts.
if not support keyboard or conttrollers you must use a touch profile.
this is valid for all, DroidMote, ps3 controller, xbox 360 controller and xperia play hardware controls.
Now, after long time of trying almost all common function keys, it seems nothing can control the gangstar rio as my experimental game! so by pressing all these keys, I can't get any movement after its installation on my imito mx1 android TV stick, although the same version is installed on my xperia play and it is fully customized on its gamepad.
So my question is, why I can fully control this game on my xperia play and can't get any movement with the same version installed on my imito mx1 tv stick?
Other question, is it possible to customize a game to work on a specific gamepad ( not a gamepad on specific game)
Thank you

[GAME STREAM] Keyboard an mouse to shield controller

Hello,
When i stream PC games to my shield TV, some of them are not compatible with gamepad (mmo, rpg etc.)
So i must use an external mouse and keyboard.
My question is : Do we have a solution to activate gamepad for these games and "remap" some keyboard keys to touchpad and activate mouse control with right controller ?
Thanks a lot !
Yes, with Droidmote Server and Client installed in your Shield TV + profiles.
Check for game profiles in the following playlist or install the Droidmote profiles app to do the remaping by yourself or request it to the dev.

I play the games through steam. It picks up my Nvidia controller as a steam controller and I can use the community created profiles for games without controller support

Steam link released! (Axon 7 excellent device for playing PC Games over streaming)

If you play PC games you know Steam for sure, Steam now released and Android APP to stream games over to your phone. You can grab the app from play-store and test it out by yourself!
I'm really impressed about the sound quality and the overall performance on our device!:good:
Requirements:
- Good wifi connection that is able to stay stable at around 15mb's (I use 5Ghz network didn't test 2.4)
- I would connect the gaming pc with a cable for better stability
- Steam on the desktop
- Steam Link from the app store
- Controller like the steam controller or PS4 controller.
Any one else here tried it or is planning to test this out! What games would you play?
But with this solution ca i use DayDream ?
