Your warranty is now void!
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading cause of male impotence.
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Personal Disclaimer:
I am the CM12 device maintainer for D850 so thought I would make this for the D852 users. It should be on par with the CM12 for AT&T G3.
I do not have this device in hand so bugs may take longer to resolve.
Whatever donations I get from this will go towards device so I can have one in hand to build with. If you happen to have a d852/5 for a fair deal then maybe we can work something out...
Bugs:
For proper technique on reporting bugs:
Read THIS and THIS.
When reporting a bug be as specific as possible, make sure you can replicate the issue coming from a clean install and that no other apps are causing the issue. Do not have any modifications done to the Android system besides the installation of GApps with out any other tweaks applied or apps installed. Provide a logcat if possible and make sure you are reporting on the latest build. This will make my job of trying to squash bugs a lot easier.

First! Thx u.. Cant wait to see the official name tag

What is the difference betweeen your build and Manups4e one?
Both are for D855.
Thanks

Not sure since I never ran it. I was asked to start making nightly ROMs for the D855 so I am... If it is causing any issues then I can just drop it. I am part of the group of devs working on the G3 device tree so I am looking to finalize the hardware side so we can push the device tree to CM.

If i higher the volume over ~70% on the phone the volume is rising even if i lower it again so i have to turn it off. And the sound aint nice, its cracky and sounds aweful when it goes up. It was the same on liquidsmooth and ive tried it with my car, home stereo and a bluetooth speaker. All the same.

CM10 official builds Bluetooth audio stream fix/workaround

I spent some hours testing files responsible for BT audio streaming from TeamEOS CM10 builds (the feature works there) on the official CM10 nightly builds.
Finally after couple of the ROM re flashes I found what file can be transfered from the TeamEOS builds to get the BT audio streaming working.
The workaround to fix the issue:
1. Download and unzip the file: http://www32.zippyshare.com/v/8042271/file.html
2. Copy the file "audio_policy.conf" to device root/system/etc
3. Reboot the Prime
Let me know if this fix works also for you.
The files are taken from the Team EOS "EOS-tf201-20120814-38" build file. Thank you guys.
Super... will check it out ASAP and will try to merge into CM10
this works... though you only need to replace ""audio_policy.conf"".... the other are not needed!!
Does that mean, the BT hasn't worked yet for CM10 or is that a fix for the known BT-bugs?
I often get BT-interruptions when streaming music to my AV-Receiver. Specially under heavy use (surfing the web for example...). Anybody else mentioning this problems?

Will try with policy. conf again, first time during my tests it didn't work, probably I did something wrong that day. Thanks for feedback.
EDIT:The first post corrected as per Craig's findings
Thank you! I can listen to Pandora again
Just out of curiosity, would this also work with a touchwiz/stock version of a Rom as well? Thanks!

Tell me step by step what you did to fix the problem? I've tried this and it still isn't working for me. I'm using the latest CM10 nightly.
seems the fix has been merged in the latest build (cm-10-20120912-NIGHTLY-tf201.zip)

Well, it was a trial and error and this thread was merely created as a possible fix... when it was well tested and finalised it was pushed to gerrit just 2-3 days later... yes, it did take time for the maintainers to accept the change and merge it in CM10, but I assume they were busy...

Strange, the "fix" has been implemented in the official CM10 build, I have no problem with my bt earphones since. Are you running the official build or EOS/Craigacgomez?
The Bluetooth stream seems to be pretty good, I connected it to my cousin's Infiniti EX35 and it was seemed to lose a little bass but other than that it was a pleasant experience.
Bluetooth streaming works fine on my iPhone 5 on my 2011 maxima. On the i4S it worked good too...no issues here
...on iPhone5/iOS6 via Tapatalk...
Will this 'audio_policy. conf' fix work on any phone and CM10 flavor?
Also, I noticed that with my CM10 ROM, the native audio_policy.conf file is in a root/system/etc/bluetooth folder, not root/system/etc. Does that make a difference?
The bluetooth issues that I'm having have to do with pairing as well as tons of loud static during calls.
Thx.

Hey. Glad there's a thread up now. I already reported this via PM, but I thought I'd throw it out there for the community, and I have a workaround.
I can't seem to get a GPS lock in Navigation. However, on stock it works fine. I saw another user post in the help section that he has the same issue on stock. He mentioned that turning off mobile and wifi location fixes the issue for him. I took a shot and it worked. Not sure what to make of it.
Anyone else see this behavior?
Awesome will flash shortly! Is GPS fixed?
Bluetooth is just turning itself off and a2dp isn't working.

I'm not 100% sure that is accurate, unless it affects phones or devices with mobile data only. I have a GTab 2 wifi running CM 10.1 and it works fine. I tested there before sending my logcat to invisiblek to make sure it was a device issue, not a CM issue.

I'm excited to try the photosphere gallery. Apk with this device. I'm hoping it doesn't have the touch to focus bug like d2vzw did. But even if it does, my fingers are crossed we will get a photosphere mod when the "nexus s4" is released.
I love all the cm camera options, but photosphere is awesome.

Well I don't know if Carbon is on caf or not, but generally dirty flashing between 2 different roms is a bad idea. Thats good news, though I'm going to guess camera will be flaky (similar to honami) 80% of the time perfect then every once in a while driver won't initialize.

Even though I'm building carbon I'm not sure if it is using caf either... bit I have dirty flashed between the two before when I have had a building Slim with very few issues.
The camera seems to work 99% of the time in carbon, so I cant see why it should be any worse here. I do have a flickering screen in carbon when in video mode (maybe H/W overlays not 100%?) that isn't present in this build of Slim.
Edit:
I do know that carbon is using -caf as I had to change an include path to get past a not found .h

Slim had problems with some video playback (browser video or Netflix) would be green unless I disabled hw overlays, when we moved caf that git fixed and camera was less problematic.

Thanks a lot for another awesome firmware for the Z Ultra!!
Regarding the camera issue, I've been facing it on every custom firmware out there, and found a possible workaround (works for me, at least): as soon as the device boots, open the camera immediately, and it should open normally after a small delay / frame freeze. After that, it continues to work normally, without any freezes, until the next reboot. However, if you wait a while after boot before opening the camera, it will freeze with a static frame. Killing it will cause the "can't connect to camera" message to appear the next times you open the camera. And I've tested with different camera apps, it's the same thing.
Hope it helps to debug the issue.
Alright, currently running this as my main. No problems so far; Bluetooth, calling, LTE, Wi-Fi, and video all work completely. Haven't had a reason to use the camera yet, however.
all seems to be working, but it doesn't read my SD card. It's an class4 a-data 32GB card formatted as exFAT, I'm backing up its content and will format it in phone (it does recognize it, but when I tap mount sd card, more options just flash below and then it goes back to 'mount sd card')
edit: no luck, it doesn't even format the card. When I reformatted it via card reader to FAT32 or NTFS, it was recognized, but with NTFS formatting it does not see any data, so I guess it's just exFAT/NTFS support that's missing
oh and with this dpi settings, digits in PIN entry are too close together (but still possible to type them in) - see http://i.imgur.com/sNmEGOJ.jpg

I was just going to say I could do it as I have the slim-caf repo already on the destop.
Are there any plans to support the GPe version or do you want me to do an unofficial version? I'm already doing [almost] weekly builds of Carbon for both the togari and togari_gpe.

I'm unclear on the difference, and didn't look at the gpe device folder. When I get my net all set up I'll take a look.

Not sure of the differences either, but as soon as I got Carbon togari to build the gpe built as well. There has only been a few little issues in the gpe build for carbon. although the last silm I built for the GPe didn't boot.
There only seems to be about 30 people downloading the GPe carbon so there may not be much of a call for it.

PARANOID 4.6 Beta1
Still No Public Source yet : ( I really should try to become the maintainer or something.
Bro, What's new now?
I've been looking for the commit that caused my instagram videos to stop working. It also affects mirroring the screen to a chromecast. That's on the horizon. What is definitely new is some changes to the snd_soc_msm file that came from someone at CM.
If there are any blatant issues let me know And I'll see what I can do to remedy them.
Now with more tenths of an increment!!!

I've been using it all day today and I haven't noticed anything totally funky. There is still the Netflix bug where you have to tap at different places on the seek bar to get a clear image. Also the Camera doesn't record video higher than QVGA. The Netflix bug goes all the back to Cyanogenmod but the Video recording may be fixable.
Tried the fix for the camera under cm11 thread ? Many reported it worked but it still fc'd

Try the OpenCamera from play store
Stock camera doesn't work even after the fix ..!
I found the media profiles fix but it looks like I'm still getting errors trying to upload videos to Instagram. The video plays back as all black. I'll add it to the ROM anyway. Maybe I can figure out if it's just Instagram or the media encoding.

@kjjjnob is right. The recents are in 4.5 And I haven't been able to find that source on github but someone can point me to it if I'm wrong. At the moment I'm making a mirror so I can put out 4.45 later this week but I derped and forgot to do it before I left school earlier this week so I'm using my home internet that is about 150 KB/s. It may be later this week.
The 1080p fix for the back camera doesn't actually result in working recording. When trying to stop the recording it force closes the camera at least with the google camera. I've left it out for this reason until I find something that actually makes it work.
Genius ahah
Bro thanks again for this! I'll try, downloading. Maybe you take a look at commits from msm8960dt Gummy team (dhacker mantain only this, he's the father of X and G ahaha).

I do check out the stuff he pushes but haven't really added anything device specific yet. How does the man know so much Motorola stuff? He's gotta have some kind of inside experience.

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

I'm getting a FC from the theme chooser, what gives?
This is due to restoring data/apps from Google. Go ahead and clear data and cache for theme chooser and theme provider then reboot you should be good moving forward.
I changed my LCD density and now the navbar looks weird, what gives?
This is currenly an issue that we are aware of and addressing. For now after you changed density reset navbar layout or stay on the stock density.

Just use banks. Don't get me wrong, I love and support TBO and buy djdarkknight's themes but in the past they've been slow to update their gapps and because they are themed apks they don't update like normal. PA gapps are a total joke since they stopped being updated realistically after kitkat so again, I advice you always use banks. Banks updates the gapps zip frequently and because they aren't themed they update by Google without issue. Also, Banks are very minimal. It has all the core Google frameworks and whatnot with zero bloat yet includes the necessary vendor files for faceunlock (if you've used Santos's gpe you know these need to be manually added.) But, to each his own and it's up to you to decide what to flash.
Also for anyone wondering, this ROM is pretty solid and sweet and I would use it as a daily, but unfortunately my 360 won't connect to hotspot although my tablet and laptop will just like other ROMs (at random) cm works so I'm stuck with it. For real though, if you're lurking and have yet to flash it you're really missing out.

Use the volume keys? Lol idk I didn't have that issue when testing. Do you have an issue where contacts load as last name first every time you open them? Even when changing settings.

SMS
Running fast and smooth on the old DNA, only thing that seems to be a problem is with SMS- I can get one text message to send, but anything after that fails to send until I reboot or toggle airplane mode off and back on. Any thoughts?

I haven't pushed to official release yet. What DU have over the other marshmallow builds is working data. Facebook is not working out of the box, but delete libsslx.so from the Facebook data folders and it'll work. Bluetooth and some video codecs aren't working yet. I'm working on it though.

Official Marshmallow Dirty Unicorns for the Droid DNA is released!
Link in OP.
Data, texting, bluetooth, camera, YouTubes, etc.; Works!
What doesn't work? I dunno, let me know.
If you use facebook, either use a third party app like SlimSocial. Or you could delete or rename the libsslx.so files located in /data/data/com.facebook.katana/lib-xyz/ for the facebook app and /data/data/com.facebook.orca/lib-xyz/ for facebook messenger, and it'll work pretty good.
