Xperia Xposed (root+xposed) - Xperia Z3 Themes and Apps

Dear Z3 owners. Like many of you, I'm constantly looking for mods, that improve my Z3 experience and give me the opportunity to customize things the way I prefer it. I have been searching for a mod that does all of this, and I accidentally stumbled upon this perfectly developed module!
I am NOT the developer of this, nor do I benefit in any way by promoting this! Just want to share it with you all!
Again. All credit goes to the hard working developer called serajr, so hit the thanks button over there.
This mod lets you customize following:
-System
-System UI
-Quick Settings
-Power menu
-Home launcher
-Lockscreen
And so much more!
Link to the thread where you can find the mod and read all about it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612179
Hit thanks if I helped you in any way.
Oh you might also want to check out a module called 'Screen Tweaks' by Pezo. Here you can alter different settings, like for instance Screen off CRT animation.
Link to this mod:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-screen-tweaks-t2767521
Both mods are tested by me (using them atm) and confirmed working on a D6603.

Thread closed.
there is no need to create a thread just to link to another thread on this forum

i know what i ask is too much, but please help me
i'm Working on a Ultimate Rom and i'll really appreciate you guys and thank you in my rom if u provide me the Apps and modes and framework
Yes, what you are asking is way too much! Nobody is going to do all that for you. Better search the forum for mods and if you can't find a particular mod then you can request it or even better if you can learn to create it yourself! Search and read some tutorials. You'll learn much.
Hit thanks if I helped you .

[MOD][Xposed] Customization with root

THIS IS NOT MY WORK.
I am simply bringing this to your attention here. All credit goes to the original developers, and anyone else involved in their projects.
What does it do?
This is a separate framework that can be used to theme or tweak your rom, without modifying APKs.
Where do I get it?
From this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Where can I get the modules?
Several places. Search is your friend. But for your convenience, here are a few places:
xTheme Engine
MoDaCo Toolbox

So, now that you know what it is, why don't you give it a try.

FAQ:
Q: The AOSP lock screen vibration toggle isn't working? How can I have the AOSP lock screen vibration and NO soft key hepatic feedback?
A: To have the AOSP lock screen vibration toggle function properly a couple of things need to be set correctly in settings. 1) make sure if you have the "power Saving" toggle on that you UN-check the "Turn off haptic feedback" toggle. Then go into settings sound and make sure that the "Haptic feedback" toggle is checked, then scroll up and click "vibration intensity" and the "notification" value is the one that controls it.
As for having the AOSP lock screen vibration and NO haptic feedback. This one, you need to make sure that the "Haptic feedback" is checked like above and the "vibration intensity" and the "notification" value is set correctly again like mentioned above. You need to turn on Power Savings for this to work. Just UN-check everything you don't want, just make sure that the "Turn off haptic feedback" is Checed. This will cancel out the setting in Sound to activate the soft key haptic feedback and still allow the AOSP lock screen vibration working as well.
Q: Does this ROM update my baseband? If not, how do I update to the newest?
A: No. This ROM does NOT touch the baseband. If you want to upgrade I provided links above for flashable.zips for MDK and ME7 so you can decide which suits you better.
Q: I have an issue, when should I post about it?
A: Please ONLY post issues if
you have done a complete FULL wipe.
you are not running anything outside the stock ROM, meaning kernels, themes, MODs, etc.
after you have completed steps 1 & 2 please kindly post your issue(s) and I will do my best to alleviate them.
Q: How can I donate?
A: My paypal donation link is set up to the left under my name click the "Donate to me" button, or my PayPal address is [email protected]
Q: What do I choose? MOD only or Full Install?
A: The ONLY time you want to choose "MOD only" is when you want to go back and add something, so say you are on v1.1.3 or any other version, and want to add the S Translate, you choose "MOD only"
that would be the only time
when you are installing a new ROM, such as v1.1.3 over v1.1.2 or even doing a full wipe install, always choose full wipe (Aroma does not wipe for you, though) so even after choosing the full wipe OPTION, you would still need to wipe the phone in recovery prior, or after the install.
I'll try this bad boy out!!

Looks awesome. Native tether enabled/hacked? I travel a bit so this ends up as my number one feature in a Rom. I've not had good luck with the tether apps.

Please don't theme base. Maybe an add on theme is good but I personally dislike most peoples theme taste. Whatever happened to the old days of devs...and themers. Seems like now it's themers building Roms and baking their theme into it. Blacked out is overplayed also. There's no aesthetic appeal to making something plain colors with no aliasing and dropshadow to enhance the dimensional appearance.
Anyways...that's assuming your 1.1 plans are going to be extensive. Minimally themed is best imo

I just tested and it seems to be acting really weird, let me dig into that, thank you.
Although, this is with stock, a 3rd party app may work.

base is 100% non-themed..
this ROM will always be stock themed, with theme add-ons.. this is why I have a "theme" section in the second OP
my plans for v1.1 are already listed as well.
I also don't claim to be anything I am not.
I don't claim to be any type of amazing developer because I simply am not.
I am an attentive DEV, that enjoys helping the community and the challenge that I get from this.
I brought blocking mode and call/message block back to us Verizon customers, that's the only true DEV accomplishment I take credit for.
Thanks Andy bones gonna download now AWESOME

Yes you did. I got this phone on the 23rd of this month and had already stared on MDK so wanted to start with this base as I find it very solid, then move on to fully making v1.1 based off of the ME7 base that is now rooted, just want to be sure that there isn't any issues first.
Thanks for this Andy! As I told you recently in a G+ group that shall remain unnamed, you and scrosler are my devs of choice when I do run TW. And then there was only one!
Anyway, just got my S4 today, so it was perfect timing to see a BoneStock pop up here tonight! Thanks so much for your continued work and support, downloading now, and looking forward to the ME7 rebase!:thumbup:
Great to see you here andybones! Will give this a whirl and looking forward to see whatever you have in store.
Well look what we have here. Nice work pal. Keep it up, and good thing I did what I did...

Thank you everyone, hope you find 1.0 to be nice, working on v1.1 soon.
added screen shots to 3rd OP
Looks awesome going to give It a try
This ROM does have fully working Blocking Mode, and Call/Message Block (look at the screen shots), give those features a try, VZW worked hard at taking them away from us but I worked even harder to bring them back.

Settings, My Device, Rom Control, very bottom - Home Wake Button. You have to enable it then disable it again to get the Power button wake back.
My apologies, you already found it.
Just want to say - excellent v1 release andybones! I miss a few of the convenient addons, etc from Beans but a very solid start and, as always, I await the future. No problems whatsoever at this point - well, other than I finally found out my Samsung 64GB SD card is trash which is a different subject altogether.

THE QUICK GUIDE TO CREATING YOUR OWN BOOT ANIMATIONS"give you fish, eat tonight. Teach you to fish,
eat for life"
I have enjoyed boot animations since I started messing around with phones. I finally felt comfortable enough to start making my own and this is how i did it:
1 - First is you need an animation such as a video clip or gif whatever. I personally like them to be less than 30 seconds with the main focal part about 10 secs. By that time the phone has started up.
2 - then you need to extract the frames/convert using infanview or similar app, to image format, jpg is smaller, png is better quality and some just plain look better this way. Using Irfanview in the "options" menu click "extract all frames" then you can fine tune using "file" menu "batch conversion/rename" option
3 - download Boot Animation Factory and thank the dev for such a great tool for previewing and creating Boot Animations. From there the app will take you to creating the bootanimation.zip file needed for your phone.
4 - Then it's just a matter of getting it to where it needs to be. You can check my thread here which gives all the the different locations for various phones store the file for manual installs. There is also the "flashable zips" and "the Aroma Installer" for multiple options!
5 - last thing is to give thanks and credit where it's due and share your wonderful new creations with all of us here on XDA!!! Thank you
that is a very quick run down of how I am making Boot Animations today
This is set of boot animations I have either created or collected from all creative minds here at XDA.
Direct downloads here for manual install of bootanimation.zip file
I have to thank all of the XDA community for these animation and support over the years!!! Please enjoy

I did update the OP with a few previews that I already had ready, they are under the tab "Included in the Aroma Installer below, click the show button to see".
Also there are roughly 10 or so previews available during the installer as well.
For now that is all I am going to offer due to the fact that this project is only a small subsection of my full oZoP Aroma zip!!
Besides, this Aroma bootchanger is so quick and easy to change if you don't like the animation and isn't ANYTHING better than the crap white Tmo animation?
Plus wouldn't you rather see me spend my time build oZoP Control mods?
oZoP Control is moving along nicely!
So far we have (all with toggles)
360 rotations
Wake/no wake plug in
Vol button music controls
Vol button keyboard cursor
Native custom statusbar clock control
Clock click app launcher (long press for alarm)
Statusbar signal position left/right
batterybar controls

WOW!!
That is absolutely AWESOME of you!!!
I am blown away by this gesture!!
It is extremely rare to have a user actually donate some of their free time to a dev!!
Thank you so much.
I have a small favor if you wouldn't mind... Could you send my the "BBCode (message boards & forums)" link for the animations?
This way I can post the animated preview in the thread instead of needing to click link and open a new window to view.
I understand if you don't have time or the desire to do this and I'm thankful for what you've done already.
If you can do it, take your time and get that info to me whenever you can.
this is the preferred format,
Code:

Blue plasma - [img]http://i.imgur.com/9HgCxML.jpg[/img]
....

..
but anything with the info will do.
Thanks again
If you need anything or have questions let me know

Sure, but
The files I linked to are not still images, though. The files on imgur are gifs, totalling 232MB. Wouldnt a direct linked bbcode preview force everyone to download 232MB everytime they view this thread? I'm asking because I dont know.
The Google Drive folder has mp4 movies that are 1/10th the file size, and are watchable from within googles page. You cant direct link an image from shared google drive files, but if you could thats still 24MB downloading every visit here.
If you would like a still image of part of each animation that wouldnt be a big deal to do, I'm just not sure exactly how you were asking things to work. I can make links similar to how you did with youtube using imgur mp4's like
6.0
Blue Plasma
or if you dont think the gif file size is a problem, let me know and I'll do it this way

The second option is best i think. The size is fine.
That woild be killer. Ive been needing to finish this for a long time (along with about 15 other projects!)
I have since creating thia shifted my energy towards my oZoP ConTroL app to mod the entire system with mods and themes on-the-fly!
So far my OC build is moving along great!
So far I've added

*back to kill
*wake/no wake on plug
*360° rotation
*volume button cursor control
*recent app custom bg color or image from gallery
*recent app customizable Matrix Bg
*ram bar in recents

Holy cows! the OC project is looking great. I have been looking for a method to put ram bar in recents without moving from WETA rom. But maybe this is it. (i know it is probably not finished yet but at least i know is somewhere out there lol). By the way, have you heard of an app called xposed additions? (yes it is a module from xposed). I was wondering if there is a way to mimic its function. Seems that xposed will take a while to be developed for 7.0+ (maybe never). But i paid for that app (pro) and there is no way i can use it on my v20 lol. The app allows you to modify absolutely any keys pressed to your liking (even the headphone keys). Something like a key remapper (or macro learner) that will allow the transmitted signal for the physical key to be exchange it for something the user would like instead (like flashlight for power key pressed by say 2000ms., or a shortcut, or opening some app , etc) . (just thinking ) . regardless of whether there is a way or not, i want that ram bar though lol!

+1 on learning out to theme. Apktool i could never get to run right on my pc idk why
Nice to see you out here @stangdriver44, your comment in the Twisted Six on the GS6 forums is what made me decide on what to upgrade to..
Looking forward to seeing your work here.. Samsung devices are too locked down, it's likely I will never go back..
Zoom World won't install.
EDIT: Yeah.......just realized Zoom World isn't even in the zip. Might want to fix that.....
Does this work with Magisk and without causing safety net issues

You're right, as nice as Samsungs are, being locked down like that is a major turnoff for me and has definitely drove me from their product!
Hope ur G6 is rocking!
Can't promise you'll ever see my oZoP rom over there, but you are going to want to keep an eye out for my oZoP Theme Engine!
Think of my theme section in my Aroma zip, all those options with all those choices...
Now think of changing that on-the-fly, no reboot, no recovery! The previews are right there as you pick the options from your phone!

This would uave nothing to do with magisk or safetynet. This only swaps the existing boot/shutdown animations.
If it was working before, i will be working after.
Safetynet is the new cst and mouse game that is only going to get worse, i suggest getting less reliant on the apps you need to hide root from or you may want to rethink if root is for you?
Good luck bud
Just downloaded this just flash this zip in recovery and its done correct.

Do you have a telegram thread for your lgv20 aroma theme engine you are doing?

Just before the final of instalation it said ( choose an option for your Samsung device ) go to main .....
So I backed out not sure if its for my LG phone or not and didn't want to mess anything up lol
Ok so how do I get back to this whenever I want to change boot animations? I don't see an app or anything to get to it on my phone? Thanks
Very cool. Thanks for efforts!

[MODS] Small Collection of Tweaks!

Hello! This is a bunch of tweaks I created to make Samsung devices better by modding the interface to really polish it. Enjoy!
Installation
Installing is simple. Navigate to the play store and download the required packages.
Substratum
Substratum Required Addon For Samsung
Samsung System Mods via Playstore (RECOMMENDED)
Samsung System Mods Direct APK (BACKUP)
Tips
- A reboot is usually required to apply the tweak.
- Some tweaks are incompatible on some devices.
- Oreo is in beta (until I get it)
- The nav bar heights are broken on the note and oreo. I can't fix it. Sorry.
- I can do requests. All I ask is you consider donating.
- You can hide status bar icons. You must use another APK: SystemUI Tuner (from the play store)
More mods are coming! Please leave suggestions for more mods you want so I can try and make them. I've been getting lots of positive feedback. Also, Tigerhoods, Pimpmaneaton, Venom, and Crayonyes have been helping me a bit, so big thanks to them .

I know everyone wants to get rid of the carrier name but I'd love to add it on my status bar lol any ideas? Cheers
Keep up the great work. I love my phone more and more for every day, and this is making it perfect.
Its all the small things, that makes it beautiful
Thank U
Added 2 more UI tweaks from the other post for the other phone. Includes removing either clock or battery icon from status bar. Thanks for the support!
Assuming all these require root?

Cracking!
Remove Unlock Text & Remove Status Bar Battery Icon (not percent) --> Work great. Big Thx.
THIS IS AMAZING!!!
The Disable Nav Bar tweak works perfect.
Before this tweak, I still applied the "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" line to the build.prop file, but with that, I lose the ability to take screenshots with the combo buttons (power + vol down).
Thank you for this awesome tweak!!!

I would like to do that too but I have yet to figure it how
The ability to remove time/date from lock screen
The ability to remove shortcuts, time/date, and unlock text from lockscreen
Either of which within your power?
This is probably beyond the scope of this project and doesn't seem to be any real answer. I've tried substratum clean lock and it doesn't work fully on samsung. Would be awesome if this is some magic you could work
If not, no worries. What you've got going on here is quite nice and much appreciated!

I'm aware what's in post one. Apparently, my wording was really bad lol. This was more or less a request to make 1 mod to remove time/date, and if it's possible to do that, then perhaps 1 mod to incorporate them all together as one mod - just to avoid having to download and install multiple mods.
However, I honestly hadn't seen the options to turn off shortcuts on the lock screen. So thanks for that!

Here you go, this should remove lock screen clock. I also have one that will theme it so it's not quite so ugly.
The aod hides are working great for me! See my attached screenshot
Thank you for these modifications. Hiding the clock and battery kind the status bar are my favorite mods.

Wow beat me to it! Nice work here! Only side effect I see is that the "Emergency Call" button text is transparent (#00000000). Will take a go at it, see if I can change the clock dimens instead of the color. If I can't get it to work, I'd be totally happy to add your APK to the OP and assign full credit for it if you want.
And if you're interested, maybe we could discuss more modding over Telegram. PM me if you are interested

As much as I'd love to take credit that came from someone else, although I have been modifying existing overlay apks pretty extensively, and I could use some motivation to setup Android studio and do this right
