On Jan 5th an announcement from CyanogenMod official website, The “L” is for Lollipop, stated that the ghost devices are on CM team's top list to release CM12. The first OFFICIAL nightly was released on Jan 5th.
With that said, we can expect that within a month we, the glorious Moto X users, should be able to run OFFICIAL CM12 Lollipop on our device!
Based on Lollipop 5.0.2, CM12 has completed 85% (Jan 6th) for their initial CM12 M release, but overall the nighlies are much more stable and suitable for daily driver at this point.
Please note that before flashing any new CM12, make sure you you have already flashed CM11 in your phone. Here's the complete instruction link if your device bootloops after flashing CM12: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58000929&postcount=8
Here is the latest CM11 M12 release: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/get/jenkins/90775/cm-11-20141115-SNAPSHOT-M12-ghost.zip
If you need full instructions to flash this rom, please go to MOTO X Q&A. I'm sure there're bunches of posts that can help you out.
Here's the download link:

Apr 30th:
Some time around late April, Cyanogen released nightlies based on lollipop 5.1.1
Feb 20th:
Outgoing call bug is fixed. Bluetooth is working. Moto X twist to open Camera is added. For those who want to flash CM12 but are concerned about its stability, now it's time.
Jan 23rd:
For those whose devices won't boot up after flashing, please go to this post for help (credit to ##W4TCHOUT##)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57644239&postcount=24
The phone mic is confirmed not working yet, other minor bugs are still expected.
Theme engine is back!
Jan 6th:
Please note that the previous CM11 features, including Theme Engine, Quick Settings reorganization and customization, Sound panel customization, etc., are not implemented yet, but CM team claimed that they are on their way bringing them back to Lollipop.
Snaps are slightly different from the ROM itself because they come from different devices such as Nexus 5 and Nexus 7.
Snapshots:
All credits go to CM team. I myself take no credits from this ROM.
Credits also go to all developers who contributed to Moto X unofficial CM12, it was you guys that brought the first taste of Lollipop to us. Thank you so much!
Flash at your own risks, none of the developers takes legal responsibilities for your potential bricked phone.

Same here on XT1052, I've succeded to boot it twice, but then I had to reboot due to some weird outputs from the memory that each app was using, then no matter what I've tried I was stuck in a bootloop.
I went back to stock KK with a nandroid backup.
Another weird thing is that I couldn't flash the official ROM with any TWRP on my XT1052, in order to do that I had to delete the first line in the updater script (where it verifies your device identity). Maybe the TWRP is still bugged for my version

Hey. I am in TWRP 2.8.1.0, is it possible to install it with it? Or what do I have to do?
Thanks!

You can avoid bootloops by flashing CM12 over CM11 that has been fully booted at least once. Clean flashes and flashing over pretty much anything else will bootloop.

Clean install on xt1060 went smooth... almost. Lost root. Posted a question in the Q&A with more details. I do love the ROM though. Been using it for a couple of weeks now.
Sorry, my bad. I forgot it was disabled in the Dev Options.

Thanks man, starting from stock KitKat I did:
- flashed latest 2.8.0.3 TWRP with fastboot
- booted in recovery (DON'T let the stock ROM to boot)
- factory reset (wipe data + cache + dalvik cache)
- flashed latest CM11 Nightly
- system reboot (let CM11 to do the first boot)
- reboot to recovery
- flashed CM12 Nightly
- double wipe (cache + dalvik cache)
- system reboot
Then the CM12 booted

Too much work. I'll wait for a ROM that can boot without all that crap
EDIT:
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the Android version is 5.0.2, not 5.0.1: http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/0...-built-lollipop-5-0-1-rolling-select-devices/

Can I install cm directly on TWRP 2.8.1.0?
Sent from my XT1058 using XDA Free mobile app

It's based off of 5.0.2, not 5.0.1. The initial post was a typ-o. Also, my quick settings looks different than the one pictured...anyone else?

buold day 7 customizations?

is taking too much time for booting!! I have done it twice and it is still in the CM Logo.
I am using twrp 2.8.1.0 the installation says succesfull, but doesnt boot. Any help?

The typo is fixed now, thanks! The snaps come from different devices but they are basically the same. You are also encouraged to upload your own snaps!

A note before flashing CM12
Before flashing any CM12 nightly, make sure you have your phone running on CM11, otherwise your phone will get into bootloop.

Don't bootloop with this recovery : http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/development/xt10xx-philz-touch-t2612149
And i don't see the new updater too !

Nope ! I did a full wipe and after installing the Rom and the pico gapp I rebooted the device. Got a message "upgrading android" and after 3 of ... it strated to reboot again and again. I let it reboot for 21 times till I decided to kill it and put back V2 of your ROM
Unless this ROM includes the CM12 firmware upgrade, maybe you should link it to them as an one-time upgrade as long as they stay on CM12 based ROMs.
EDIT: yep it boots up well with the cm12 firmware upgrade by martin_ro.

This ROM now implements OMS.
What is OMS ?
OMS: (Overlay Manager Service) was designed by google. It's a layer/theme service which is used by Substratum: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=projekt.substratum&hl=fr
So basically, if you install Substratum, you will be able to apply any theme on the ROM UI because OMS has been implemented.
For the record, on PAC MM or AOKP MM, they were using CyanogenMod Theme Engine for theming the UI, but since CMTE has not been implemented for Nougat, many choose to use OMS & Substratum instead.
Good job. BTW, where the list of what is working and not?

Hello, thanks for the ROM
Issues that I have found
Auto brightness is changing itself for no aparent reason.
Bluetooth is not working (I will test a modification to build.prop to see if it fixes that)
Video recording( I will do more tests too)
The weird noise at boot(every custom ROM have it on l36)
Thats all for now.
After my tests I will update this post.
Oki doki I'm back
These chances to build.prop seens fo fixes some problen
# Bluetooth
qcom.bluetooth.soc=smd
This fixes bluetooth on cm14.1 and aokp
But this onde, it fixes video recording on cm14.1 without problens but Idk why it dindt worked on aokp
#Fix for l36 variant 1080p recording issue, special thanks to marchetto96
camera.disable_zsl_mode=1
persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=0
persist.camera.cpp.duplication=false
My device is a A6020l36
These changes on the build.prop where recomended by the k5 brazil(A6020l36) dev group, it may not work on other variants(only testing to know).
soon going to test it.
thanks for rom buddy any guess it will work for A6020a46 3GB variant too? or i have to test and check my self.
Making a backup right now of my PAC rom, to try AOKP.
So many ROM options Thanks for your hard work. I'll apply @BlueReptile post fixes and try if there is any left.
For Brazilians users "ro.product.model=A6020l36" should be enough to solve 1080p video play.
Anybody test if charging screen works? Or it has the same bug that cm has?
I'm facing a bootloop during the Setup Wizard: After a full wipe, i get the loop error "Configuration Wizard has failed - X Close app", and i can't proceed to boot up AOKP and finish it's setup.
Code:
[[email protected] AOKP]$ ls -l
-rw-r--r-- 1 risthel users 499274693 nov 10 17:55 aokp_A6020_nougat_unofficial_2016-11-10_1622.zip
-rw-r--r-- 1 risthel users 82 nov 15 15:05 aokp_A6020_nougat_unofficial_2016-11-10_1622.zip.md5sum
-rw-r--r-- 1 risthel users 117639063 nov 11 04:47 open_gapps-arm64-7.1-pico-20161111.zip
-rw-r--r-- 1 risthel users 73 nov 15 19:06 open_gapps-arm64-7.1-pico-20161111.zip.md5
The ROMs and gapps are sane(recovery matched the md5).
Also tried to reboot, clear Dalvik/Art and boot again without success

Hi @Shreps. Sorry for the double posting/flooding.
Did my homework, AOKP flashed fine. Meanwhile, i was researching and found that opengapps can have this issue as explained here
Since i'm not dirty flashing neither upgrading this was my workaround for this situation:
Installed AOKP
Booted without gapps
Created this script file(i'm using Arch Linux as main desktop) and push it using adb while running AOKP
adb shell to run this script
reboot into recovery
clear dalvik/cache
push opengapps to /sdcard and flash it
reboot to system
profit?!
System wizard working as expected. Can't say for sure if the problem is with gapps-pico on 11 november build, cause the script seems to solve the permission issues.
gonna test today downloading now,
but here are something all the user of A6020a46 3GB variants may know that, bluetooth is fixed after apply this to build.prop
Code:
qcom.bluetooth.soc=smd
red border already fixed also brightness is fixed temporary through brightness pacher, now major thing is Video Recording which not work for me in any 7.1 based ROM(CM14.1, AICP,BeanStalk,crDroid and i guess same for AOKP) so if you guys fixed any new or old bugs please reply soon to related thread about it so many can solve their problems.

yeah tried not working for me, i guess as because i have different variant then yours, mine is 3GB Variant with FHD and Spandragon 616 , i guess you have A6020a40 with 2 GB RAM and snapdragon 415 ,while i have A6020a46 :'( any way thanks for info
Regard,

OK. Had to change my daily ROM to CM-14.1.
AOKP crashed hard after upgrading(build day 11 to build day 15), and the fix_permissions script didn't solve this time. Google related apps kept crashing even after a cache/dalvik wipe... Could be something mainstream of AOKP. I'll search for info on it's repos.
Spent last night trying CM14, AICP and BeanStalk. Clear flashed all of them, and the only one that didn't accepted gapps without fixing permissions was aokp unfortunately. Last thing i did was to upgrade aokp with gapps installed, and it reproduced the same problem.
Thanks again for your hard work guys. I'll keep testing all your roms

If anyone try this as primary and wifi works fine, let me know pls.

Hmm, I didn't think to think that being a secondary could be the reason WiFi doesn't work for me either. I doubt it but ya never know.
WiFi is the last main piece not working. Everything else seems pretty good.

Does this Rom have tap to sleep?
Installing as I type this! (just finished a full Nandroid Backup first!) I'm running the Canadian variant LG G3 D852. Will report and bugs if I find any! In the mean time, Thanks A Million for porting Oreo to our G3s!!!

On the status bar I think. I'll have to double check.

Definitely NOT multirom related.
I installed the ROM (4th of november release) twice as a singular ROM on my spare G3.
The wifi works fine upon install but after a while, and at least 2 reboots...
It stops working all together.
I manage to screnshot the error.
Unfortunately the forum doors not allow the upload of media (for regular users like myself).
"Failed to save network" is the error.

Thanks @DTTR for the confirmation.
Hmm, not sure why you can't upload pics. You're a senior member and been around awhile. Should be able to post pics. Probably a temporary XDA or Tapatalk glitch. I couldn't do the same not too long ago.

So, I installed the 7.11 release.
One reboot (intentional). The WiFi disconnected and never auto-conected. I had to go into settings and toggle the WiFi.
Now. About the crDroid 4 thread.
The 3.X thread stated whether the ROM was rooted or not. Maybe it's worth mentioning in the first post that the ROM is not rooted.
Now about ROM requests.
I would really like to have the Clear all button on Recent apps down, not up...
Meanwhile I'm accommodating with O.
I'm still a M guy. My main G3 runs on stock M rooted with lots of Tasker profiles which do not run on N and O.
Good job crDroid team!

I've been testing the ROM for almost 3 days, with the first install the ROM was feeling laggy and the phone was a little hotter, but I wiped everything and now it feels smoother.
WiFi and data works good, haven't had a single disconnect issue so far. GPS is working great. I am using Footej and it really helps to improve camera resolution.
I haven't been able to test a fully charged round of battery, but I feel battery life is comparable to crDroid 7.
I may have been experiencing some LOS bugs but the ROM feels pretty stable for daily use, the only thing is not working for me is ADB over USB, I have been using it over network but that is not secure.
Overall, great work firebird11, I bet that with those bugs fixed this ROM will become pretty solid.
Thanks for the effort and time put in this.
In D851 the WiFi does not turn on, the MAC stays 00: 20: 00: 00: 00: 00
Great work thanks for the ROM
Got a very minor big on the lockscreen.
# Swipe on the lockscreen to bring up the pattern screen (or any screen I think)
# Press the back button.
Instead of going back to the swipe lockscreen the screen is now completely blank (just your wallpaper).

yes, you can do it on status bar and also on navigation bar. Also if you install another launcher you can do it in any part of the screen

First time installing crDroid to your Moto G5 Plus, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery such as TWRP
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
KNOWN ISSUES

Now we're talking! I'm still on 3.8.8 - excited to make the jump once stable. Keep up the great work.
EDIT: First of all, thanks for porting crDroid PIE V5.0 [Android 9.0] to G5 Plus!
Looks promising.
Install worked without problems, booting up and first conf as well.
What i missed was a setting for seeing mobile network status in the navbar and the cam app crashed.
Another thing i couldnt find was the inbuilt root. As far as i can see the inbuilt root is not working.
And after writing back my backup it tells me that my pin is wrong. why is that?

Thanks man, that helped a lot!
The camera does not work.
Camera not working for me either. Also I am having the BT/WiFi conflict issue where WiFi disconnects randomly when my watch is paired up with the phone.
Otherwise great initial release! :good:

Was using previous build for a couple days, everything running very well except safetynet didn't pass in Magisk (but had root & modules worked fine). Yesterday was surprised to get an update notification, downloaded and dirty flashed in TWRP only wiping cache/dalvik at the end before reboot, after reboot all was fine and now Magisk passes safetynet. ROM has most of the crDroid Settings working including built-in Adaway with 15 host sources, it's a nice 9.0 ROM and would recommend to others.

I think this may motivate another "piece of Pie" for me. I have tried several flavors but fall back to the comfort of Oreo due to issues and missing features. I did try the last build of crDroid but was not getting Magisk, at all. I learned, later that a few reboots would have remedied that...
*** I am in ***
Looks very good and stable, thus far. One thing that I thought was there in earlier build (probably wrong) was the grid view of recents. Not a big deal but much preferred over the rotating tiles. Great work!
*** A few more notes ***
BT headset (Skull Candy) not working with phone audio. Media is working fine.
BT phone in MB working
V2T option not available with GBoard
Rebooting to recovery option not working - boots back into system
That build is amazing, runs smooth af.. Use GCam or Moto Cam as alternative of the included one!
Encryption doesn't work cause after the first boot I can't enter the pin code, it's just showing the patern lockscreen.

Yes it's working here.

It's not booting into recovery mode if you select it in the shutdown menu.

Flash ROM + Gapps
Flash Magisk 18+ for root or Native Root Addon

FAQ:
Can you add feature XYZ?
Probably yes, but it will come gradually. You can request nicely.
Is native root added?
Available as separate addon. Once you flash and reboot, activate on below path System > Developer Options > Root mode.
This may break safety net. Flash on your own discretion.

Known bugs:
camera doesn't work
LiveDisplay doesn't work
Thank you for your continued support of v500!!!!
Edit: Dirty flashed from 4.7, SystemUI force closed at first reboot, no other issues so far after reboot.
Useless panic mode is finally gone, now I can tap the back button as many as I want!
Awesome. Flashing now...
EDIT: all looking great so far but tomorrow fails CTS & basic integrity. Any chance this is on your list? I really don't want to root... Thanks again @beroid
Thank you so much @beroid !
I hope you can fix the camera in future. But since it never worked on oreo it seems to be really hard to fix.
Is there a recommend way to use microG on this rom? For now I used the official Los 14.1 builds with microG included on my g pad. Any help is welcome
Thanks again!
Many thanks! It's the first of my devices to run Android 9.
I dirty flashed from Oreo & I had black screen after boot logo on first boot. Forced restart using Power & Volume Down & everything working perfectly.
Everything running smoothly & the ui is very beautiful. Feels like I just bought a new tablet
The brightness slider is not calibrated though since the first half is just about 1% brightness, but it's not a big deal.
Please add an option for Network Traffic on Status Bar.
Here's a little video I made showing the ui:

Thanks a lot :highfive: :good:
Sadly no go for me. Even flashing just the ROM itself caused my V500 to boot loop right after getting to the home screen. Clean flash by the way. Perhaps I can try a dirty flash later on.

Already running 3.2.3-0 which I believe is the latest. Unless if there's some unofficial version that is more up to date on things than the official version that I'm not finding via XDA and Google search?

Clean flash
3.2.3 twrp
Nano gapps
Magisk 18.1
Boot till wireless configuration screen, then bootloop again and again
beroid what a nice surprise! Loving the pie on the great little old pad! Great work Fella! Lovin' it!
Thank you very much, beriod! I was not expecting it coming.
Works fine, one restart while configuring settings.
Clean flash as per instructions and links - ROM, pico Gapps, native root addon (root not activated unless I really need it).
Edit: Twrp 3.2.3

I clean flashed with stock opengapps and had no problems at all. Seemed like an incredibly long first boot but set up worked and haven't had any issues.
Also clean flash here, NO problems whatsoever ! :good:
Formated user data, system and dalvik cache
Flashed Rom, gapps and magiks
All like in the installation documentation is mentioned.
My tablet installed all very fast and booted quick in to new android 9. Perfect ROM!
Thanks to beroid for his heroic work.
Just donated via PayPal, I hope a few more will do that ?
using cdDroid with microG
So I finally had time to Update from LOS 14 (microG version) to CrDroid 5.1. I made a clean install and used nanodroid to patch microG.
Results: Rom is really smooth and battery life is great. Only problem: It seems that integrated signature spoofing is not working actually. From what I've read this problem is affecting most custom pie roms. I hope this bug can be fixed in future.
Other than that a really great experience for now. Except signature spoofing and the mentioned bugs in op everything runs perfect for now.
Thanks again beroid!
Looks like it might be something kernel related that's not working on some of our V500's. I just tested BR Kernel 2.0 which is for Oreo ROMs. It booted just fine and runs fine except Wifi doesn't connect to the Internet (and more than likely no camera). I've tried dirty flashing with no success as well.
I try twice to install. When arrives to wifi screen it reboots automatically
Before I'll go with my V500 - could someone, who already have this ROM, check if support USB-DAC still isn't working on-the-go?
