2015 - Best case for Nexus 6 - Nexus 6 Accessories

Hey guys,
So I just order the Nexus 6 and I was wondering what the best case for it was.
Now that its 2015 and many of you have experienced different cases for the Nexus 6, what is your favorite case?

TUDIA Cruzerlite and Diztronic would be my picks in that order

My favorite is the Caseology

What caseology case exactly?

Using the Tudia as of right now, probably pick up a Ringke fusion soon.

Ringke Fusion + Dbrand Skin in the back.
Although, I haven't received my dbrand skin yet, Ringke Fusion provides good button feedback that is satisfying to press and eliminates the problem of accidentally pressing on the wrong key.

This is the one I recently purchased. Its REALLY nice. I like the one you have posted zephiK
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00OHFGUDU?vs=1

Ringke Fusion Smoked is legit. Been holding it all day and has fair amount of grip and looks good!

Trident Aegis

Ringke fusion is best if u want a clear case, Ringke Slim if u want protection without adding any bulk, Cruzerlite Bugdroid if u want a tpu case with good protection and Ringke Maxx with tpu and hard back for good protection.

To add onto what prototype said (above) if you're looking for a slim case, get the black case as it has soft touch feel on them whereas the other color choices does not.

Ringke Max is my choice, looks really premium especially with a carbons kin showing underneath the plastic.

Does the Ringke Fusion still scratch easily? Also is the back PC with TPU sides? I was looking at getting one or maybe the Max.

I highly recommend Trident Aegis. I have the all black one and this thing is a beast. It offers amazing protection while still staying pretty slim. Its a little more expensive but I have no fears of dropping my phone now. Side note I have on a jelly comb tempered glass screen protector and literally do not worry about dropping my phone with this combo.

They have a revision out, I received mines but didn't open the package as I'm waiting for a smoke black to arrive as the revision replacement is crystal view. Wanted the smoke black to hide the outer trim of n6.
From what the representative told me, the revision is not yet fulfilled by Amazon. Kinda confusing when they'll have it.

Thanks, that's what I've been seeing in the Ringke OP. I'm going to wait until everything gets cleared up before I buy one. The case does look nice so hopefully it will get sorted out soon.

If you really want one right this second, you can start up a ticket and ask for a revised version.
They sent me a paypal invoice and is sending me the revised, paid ~$12 for it.

So sick of these threads. There is no "best case". It's 95% user preference.
I personally love the Ringke Slim and it is the best case for ME. No one can tell you what the best case will be for YOU.

I've just ordered Spigen slim but for now my favorite is Cruzerlite smoke.

I like! Might look into buying one of these. Cheers.
Just got my case-mate tough case today. Seems sturdy but not liking the silicone layer that attracts dust and lint. Oh well, can't have it all.....
Question: Will a TPU case, diztronic or any other be shock absorbent from a good fall? Just wondering if that might be the way to go.

My wife just got a Cimo one for her SGS2 and for looks its really nice. But I doubt it will protect it from much.
What features do u want the case to have? Style, belt clip, protection, material..etc... My next case will need to have a kickstand but still provide the same protection.
It sucks being needy...lol

trident aegis FTW
NOTE
if you get any case with black silicone (trident, case-mate, otterbox, incipio, etc), the lint will be obviously visible. you can remedy that by getting a colored one

Good advice, and I'll remember that next time. I actually returned the Case-mate today because of that black silicone layer collecting dust...I'm a little OCD when it comes to dust on my phone. I have pretty clean pockets but last night every time I picked it up I was constantly cleaning it. Back to my $3 TPU for now!

I am seriously considering the incipio. The only thing that I do not like is that it covers up the holes around the camera. Does this effect the performance of the phone in any way?

I saw that one as well. I now am looking at the Ballistic SG series. It has the opening holes around the camera and does not make the phone too big and has great protection. I can get it for $20 on Amazon.

Definitely an awesome case. Am using the Matte Black version.
Cost is real good, and doesn't make the phone look bulky at all, easily slips in and out of the pocket
You may initially feel that since there is no volume rocker cut-out it would be difficult to use (some video reviews also show that), but trust me it does not feel uncomfortable at all. On the contrary, the divided volume rocker on the case actually has a nice feel to it.
Checkout this portion of a video, should give you a fair idea

Yeah I was looking for a TPU case, I liked my red sensation case much that I didn't want any kid of material, I bought the matte black as well, I was considering the smoke glass matte translucent case but I didn't know if I was going to like the color scheme over the white amaze, anyway, I watched the video and too bad they didn't have any colors, oh well the case looks great though can't wait to get it in the mail, anyone have the smoked glass one over a white amaze? Let me know what you think
I have a case from body glove that I absolutely love. It has a built in kickstand too which is a plus for watching media, got it pretty cheap from the tmobile store.

Just ordered the case-mate tough case.
$28 after 20% off with '4MOM' code.
I had a hard time deciding between this one and the trident aegis case, but decided the extra $8 is worth the peace of mind of knowing the three pin holes around the camera aren't blocked and I think this case looks a bit slimmer. There isn't much information out there for the Amaze version, but the Sensation tough case is well reviewed. So I am hoping the Amaze one will be the same.
Will post some pictures when the case gets here.

Post what Case you have on your One

The body of the One is sleek and you don't want to hinder the look of it. But most of us probably wants to keep it looking it like that, so I was wondering what kind of cases people have. I just ordered the Diztronic TPU aluminum grey version for the One because people have been say its see through and adds minimal bulk to it.
Don't have it yet, but will update when I do receive it.

I heard that the Poetic Atmosphere interferes with the IR blaster because the power button is covered. How do you cope with it or do you not use the iR blaster?
Otterbox Defender.
It's currently the only case I would trust considering how thick it is. If I accidentally drop my phone with a flimsy silicone skin on it, that's not going to do a thing to protect it.

The Poetic case is made of pieces of polycarbonate plastic bonded with hard rubber (silicone?) will. Polycarbonate is nearly bullet proof (used in safety glasses) and the hard rubber absorb impacts. The fit is very precise and tight, so I wouldn't expect the phone to fly out of the case when dropped.
i alternate between a cruzerlite TPU case and an otterbox cummuter. i like how the cruzerlite still keeps the phone slim but i feel more protected when i have the otterbox on.

I first had a poetic atmosphere but recently switched to an otterbox commuter which i really like
I just bought the Incipio feather shine at my local Fry's. It's not as good protection as an Otterbox but it does protect the back and should prevent scuffs if dropped on a corner.
I bought the Bear Motion case. I like the texture of it a lot.
Wow....you all have cases that make mine sound crappy. I have a *Speck with the extra gripping. It's not bulky. Definitely hard to get the phone in and out of. It was this or the …there one AT&T had. And I don't remember what that was

That would be the casemate tough case. It's what i am running and it's great. Still maintains a sleek profile while offering great protection. I couldn't bring myself to put a huge otterbox on the one, and this I feel is the next best thing.
The only thing I dislike about it is that the cutout for the camera is larger than it needs to be, and if something were to press hard into your pocket it could get to the camera glass.

Slim Armor is not that good for protection, especially drop protection. It has like no lip.
Uag is awesome and they aren't as bulky as they seem in pics. I've had one for my S3 and S4 and they do protect extremely good against drops.

I had the UAG Scout for my Note 2. It protected my phone perfectly through multiple drops. The case never got scuffed either. It was pretty bulky though. No where near Otterbox Commuter size (which I also owned).

Otterbox or Trident would be the best for drop protection. I wouldn't consider any slimmer cases to be the "best" in drop protection. I remember watching a video where a guy just threw his iPad with Otterbox from the second story window multiple times. Nothing broke on the iPad.

I'd say the best cases will be either the Otterbox defender or the Armour version if one is made, the Seidio Rugged, or the Ballistic Maxx. All are going to be producing a case specifically designed to provide the maximum protection. I had an otterbox on the note 2 and it had been dropped numerous times down my stair and never a scratch. My wife has a Ballistic Maxx on her S3 and she is quite accident prone but her phone is unscathed. I think the Ballistic case is rated at a 15 meter drop distance. I'm not sure about the others.

Best case choice

I'm trying to figure out which case to buy. I bought two spegin cases. The slim armor I liked in terms of protection, but I hated the buttons on the side and how slippery it is. Also, the kickstand seemed low quality. The other one is just not offering the protection I need. I'm in a toss up between these two. Let me know what you think. Cruzerlite! Their cases are thin and offer great protection. You can YouTube videos of drop tests with the nexus 5 having the Cruzerlite case on it. It's a beast! They also feel great in hand.
Cruzerlite or TUDIA those are my two favorites , both are thin TPU cases and very durable!
Tried both the Spigen Ultra Fit and Neo Hybrid and did not like the extra bulk as its wide enough already. Bought a Dbrand skin for the back only and its perfect. Adds just enough texture so its not slippery but does not add any size to the specifically in width.

agree totally with you. i ended up with just a Skinomi matte skin. if an ultra slim clear or smoke case comes out which gives some grip but keeps the looks especially the visual of the Midnight blue back and metal sides i might reconsider. until then i'll be ultra careful!
If you're looking for a case without bulk, then get the Ringke SLIM SF Black. More grip and adds no bulk.
Although, Ultra Hybrid doesn't add any bulk very minimal in my opinion.

A tacky feeling, clear skin would be very nice.
I ran the Ringke Slim SF black for 2 days. Then my Spigen Slim Armor arrived. To be honest, the Spigen isn't impressing me that much. It makes the device feel bulky and it doesn't provide the grip the Ringke did. I might return it and get a different case with kickstand.

I've got the Moko (2 of them), a Supcase on order, and just got the CF version of the Caseology off Amazon. All of them combined were still cheaper than walking into a Apple store and getting a cheap TPU case. That carbon fiber Caseology looks pretty nice in the pics.
I'm considering the Ringke Hybrid or Max, which get a lot of attention around here. The Urban Armor Gear looks good to me as well, but I haven't seen much about it. Anyone try the UAG case?

I really rather like mine. Feels good in the hand.
I have the Neo Hybrid and it definitely is a great quality case. Probably offers a lot more protection vs the Ringke Slim (which I also have and use), but be aware, the bulk difference is very noticeable.

I have both but prefer the ringke slim. Theres a significant difference in size between the two cases, and you can really tell when holding in your hand. The spigen case was just too bulky.
I picked up the Ringke Clear one (not a slim case) and the Spigen Hybrid which is clear as well on the back. Which Ringke did you have that broke?
i have the Fusion and the Spigen Hybrid.....definitely like the Fusion better....but thats my opinion. good thing we get plenty of choices
I decided to get a Toastmade wooden back cover and will use a nice leather pouch, I may get a different clear case at some point, but the Spigen cases lack the tactile feel you need to differentiate the buttons.
I have also bad experience with ringke slim cases..
Ultra hybrid better then all of them.
Serious question, how are you breaking your Ringke slims? I ask as a user of 72 hours w/o issues who has already ordered a Crystal. Do you mean as you were putting it on?
I have both but prefer the ringke slim as well, the hybrid is very bulky and slippery.
I been using the ringke for a while with zero issues.
The nexus 6 is pretty wide so the ringke keeps it slim.
I have 5 ringke slim cases. Have used them on 2 N5's, 2 GS4's, GS3, 2 GS6's, and the N6. None have broken. Even with the N6 (if you have a ringke slim on your N6 then you know how much of a PITA the slim is to take off) I've had zero issues with these cases breaking or cracking.

I ordered one with the 40% off deal and the metal frame on mine would not install flush. Tried for an hour. It ended up in the trash.

Same here, my 3 year old dropped my n6 last weekend. Screen protector cracked, slim case all good...the top lip does provide a good deal of clearance for the screen.
Its a bia' to take on and off though. I ordered the Ringke Max this weekend. Had one on my g3 and was a tank vs my kids.

Couldn't agree more. That case sucked for me too on the n6...total waste of $. Could never get it to install flush...its like the first time it goes in imperfect its hosed for life.

If that's the case for me, it will be my last Spigen case.

The Spigen Air Cushion bumper case is decent as is the Rinke tpu bumper. Very similar. The Rinke has covers for the USB and aux so I'm using that at the moment. Ive got 4 more cases coming Tuesday. Might try to do my own post sometime as I'm up to 13 cases or so besides the two spigens I've dumped in the trash.
