Google Now is the latest voice assistant developed by google and to be released with the next version of an android-Jellybean v4.1
DISCLAIMER-Make a nandroid backup before trying this.
I tried it on both MiniCMSandwich and CyanogenTimescape and was pretty impressed with what google has offered to compete against the beloved iPhone Siri.
EDIT-If you want the ICS voice search to work,you need an AOSP based ROM,but the google now app can be installed on any ROM for the time being.Its a little hard to port this on all ROMs,but there's always scope for improvement

Ok thanks and why didnt you include google now into the zip. but you did include google ears? Do you have the original post that you got google now from. I want to check it out.

acutally I came across the google now first and then the ears widget,and ultimately to the whole package,they have been ported one after the other..

Some play apks and gallery and G+ and earth and some apps just wont appear at all
How is that new email client? Something new or usefull than the ICS email?

on ics ,the voice search doesn't work,although you can search on it.Google now requires the jelly bean kernel.

after flashing the google now zip file,install the voice search apk like a normal app.

I was wondering, will this inverted version auto-update and go back to the white version the next time Google updates Play?
Thank you! and unfortunatly yes when an apk gets loaded up as an update it does not have my or another themers png/xml changes so it goes back to its orignal state, but dont worry what we did on this version will be done again!

I know! It's a real pain in the neck, isn't it? I've found a few solutions (links below) that looked good, but on trying them out unfortunately none of them appear to work. It just seems that those Google Play Updates just can't be overriden - I even deleted 'Market Update' with Titanium backup.
What do you think? Should the tweaks in the linksbelow work?

Yes it is and I have tried to freeze market updater but sometimes you miss updates for other apps. Its a pain to theme it all again but if you save the images usually you can just copy and paste over the original pngs.

Hmm.. I just had a look at the bottom of the page and it looks like the downloads are for the Epic Touch 4G. I guess it's possible that the downloads won't work on all android phones..

i tried restoring the rom but it doesnt show up in the restore folder only my nandroid backup shows up what am i doing wrong help please??

Since I do not have a GSM model. I can suggest the following.
1) Make sure you put the file in right folder.
2)Make sure it is on your phone.
3)Try to reboot.
Sorry if I didn't help much as for I don't have a GSM model. I recommend that you start a new thread for I can't help much further.

People tend to have glitches on my rom that I don't have for some reason.
Create an update.zip
(I can't do that for my rom because I've some kind of issue where the notification bar is missing and I've no clue what I can do
Also Clean Music and File Manager get installed because It's on NXT Lite base and I swear these are not in system/app or data/app)

It's not any error but I'm getting this while installing prebuiltgmscore file. It says like, "This is a system app, are you sure to install and replace it with previous one." and so on. So, I aborted. I was not sure to proceed. It says it will replace all the data, etc. What actually will it do if I press ok and continue with it? My phone is not rooted yet, and not planning for few months. I'm already using the Kitkat Launcher Theme which give the kitkat Icons and I'm using it with Nova Prime.
I also installed Kitkat Launcher from Nick app from playstore but the App Drawer was very clumsy and did not feel clean, so uninstalled it.
Back to the point, what happens if I install prebuiltgmscore replacing previous and will it require Root?

It is the .apk file for the updated playstore...since you already have playstore installed, it asks if you want to replace it...there is no prob if you click ok...you just have an updated playstore on your device...

It works. I skipped both PrebuiltGmsCore.apk and Velvet.apk and installed google home directly. Everything seems to work good except the widgets and the voice command is not working from the homescreen. I have to tap the top right search button. Any idea about it?
Check the attachment for widget error.
The Voice Command 'Ok Google' is supposed to work only on the Nexus 5...and the widgets caused problems initially, but now they work properly...once you drag a widget to the home screen, and click on it they show some msg...ht ok..and it will work...

prebuiltgmscore.apk is actually the new google play service app. If you had updated to the newest version of google play, you can try and error to NOT install the prebuiltgmscore.apk. Report back here if you successful install. If not sucess, just install the new version of google play(prebuiltgmscore.apk).
and Nope, doesn't require ROOT access.

You can skip both the apk because of google just rolled up their new update for those app, Google Now n Google Play Service for everyone.
To have the voice command works, just change the languages to English (US), head to MENU >Settings > Voice > Language > English (US).
Try to say, "OK google". If doesn't work, head to MENU >Settings > Voice > Language > Offline speech recognition > and choose English (US) update.
As simple as that Sorry for the late reply though.

Hi, this is a wonderful work but i don't have the one hand mode button how can i fix this ? There are only the recents, home and back button.
