[BOOTANIMATIONS] 37 Custom Bootanimations for Moto G - G 2014 Themes and Apps

This is a very old thread, and these bootanimations were originally designed for Android 4.4 (KitKat). Please check out my newer thread HERE for updated bootanimations, compatibility fixes, and dozens of other bootanimations.
This is a cross-post of my thread on the Moto G (2013) forum.
Both phones have the same resolution so these SHOULD work just fine, but I have no device to test it with. Let me know how these work out and if you have any issues.

To make the process easier, these are all flashable .zips that you can flash through custom recovery.
Please note that all of these were made for Android 4.4.4, and I can't guarantee that the flashable .zip will work for any other android version.
Just to be on the safe side please make a backup of your current bootanimation first, either manually or by using ZIPme to make a flashable .zip of it.
Due to the Lollipop memory bug, there is a high chance that your device will bootloop if you use a bootanimation that is longer than 40-50 frames on ANY 5.0 or 5.1 ROM. Possible solution can be found HERE

These are cool. I especially dig #1 and #7.
I flashed #1 on my xt1063 running Titan Prime 1.0.5 . Unfortunately it bootlooped. So I had to restore my backup.

I've heard mixed reviews about lollipop and these bootanimations, some work and some don't. The majority of them seem to work just fine and in a rare case can cause a bootloop. My current guess is that some of the really long bootanimations, like AT-AT which is about 300 frames will cause a bootloop because of some limitation that lollipop might have on bootanimation.zip's. My advice would be to either make a nandroid backup, or the easier thing to do: use zipme to make a flashable .zip of your current bootanimation and have that handy just in case something goes wrong.
Edit: Just tried at-at on a CM 12, lolipop on my moto G(2013) and it worked just fine.

Thanks for the follow-up. Based on your info, I tried again with a different animation and I just successfully flashed "Space Launch" on my xt1063 running TitanPrime 1.0.5. So I think your "guess" is a good one; some work with lollipop; some don't. As you advise, make a nandroid backup and you'll be covered just in case. No problem. Thanks again for these. :good:

I don't have the time to do it myself right now, but here's a tool that will easily let you do it. Just extract the bootanimation you download and then extract the bootanimation.zip that's inside of system>media of the extracted file and use one of the pictures you get as a result with the Bootlogo Maker.

I've heard mixed results when it comes to 5.0 ROMS, some people say that they work, and some don't. I'm not sure if it's the bootanimations files themselves, or if it's the length, or something else even. Grab one of the shorter 720p animations from here and test it out, (give #35: cassete a shot, it's the shortest one) if it works it might be just the lenght of the bootanimations themselves. I've heard that 5.0 has a memory leak when it comes to bootanimations.
Edit: The cassete bootanimation is also available in the OP, totally forgot about that.
