Please explain it ,
I have downloaded old stock rom on sammobiles. But How to flash it ?
as a normal flashing ? without root ?
Sorry I am a beginnger user for this.

Dear friend,
Install USB Drivers or install Samsung Kies . kies will install the necessary drivers automatically.
1. First be sure USB Debugging is checked in ur device ( Settings/Developer Options/USB Debugging )
2. Extract the Odin file from the zip.
3. Open Odin3 (Run As Administrator).
4. Put your device in download mode. To do so, press Volume Down And Home And Power Button all together and when it vibrates release Power Button but keep others pressed. You should have a triangle with an android janitor while it's saying downloading ..VOL UP TO CONTINUE...
5. Now connect USB to PC ,you should see a blue rectangle with COM:xx and saying Added. It means that your device is ready to be flashed!
6. Go into the PDA section and select your .tar file.( stock ROM file)
7. Dont check any other option (F.reset time and Auto reboot are checked by default).
8. Now click Start.
9. When it's finished, it should say that "Res OK" or "PASS"in Odin.
10. Now the phone will restart and you will have the stock firmware as per your requirements.
You don't need root to flash ROM thru Odin.
If you want to root search for framaroot.apk in XDA .

Hey,
Here's the link : http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=1&o=1&m=GT-I9100G&r=2#regiona
There you can select the Malaysian firmware for instance (since it's the latest amongst)
But first find your own firmware (the KI1) and save it on your laptop just in case you needed to fallback.
As for the procedure of flashing it's very simple, it has been listed by so many users on the forum here.
What I usually follow is this one:
###Downloads###
1- Install Samsung Kies from samsung.com
2- download the package from sammobile (it will mostly redirect you to hotfile.com, and you will have to download a (340MB ZIP)
3- Download Odin3 V1.83, it is the most appropriate with the GT-I9100G
####INSTALLATIONS#####
1- Install Samsung Kies [Needed later by ODIN for driver use]
2- Once Kies is installed and is able to run, close it and kill all the KIES processes in the Windows TASK Manager.
3- Make a directory in the C:\tmp for your update [name it without spaces]
4- Place the firmware pkg and Odin pkg there
5- Extract the firmware ZIP and the Odin ZIP
6- Take down the GS2 to download mode [syncro: POwer + Home + Vol_down]
7- start Odin
8- Connect the GS2 to the USB [if you're on a PC, use the back USBs]
9- Odin will identify its recognition of the GS2 with a yellow marker saying [ID:COMX]
10- Make sure you check only the AutoReboot and the F.Reset Time [NOTHING ELSE]
11- Click on PDA and go to your unzipped firmware directory [where you will have a .tar.md5 file] and select that file
12- Press on start in Odin
13- Odin should do the flash
14- The Phone will reboot if all is successful
15- Voila, you're done ))
this one is old stock rom 2.3.6 , update way back on September '11.

I want to root my phone

Hi guys sorry if this has already been explained but I am the epitomization of a noob.
Anyways I have an S2 which I updated to ICS 4.0.3 via KIES and I would like to root it.
Could you direct me to a thread or explain how?
root you rom with siyah kernel (see my sign for siyah kernel link )
then download Extweaks for kernel modifications
CF Root
Google CF Root and follow the instructions to the letter.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719
That's what I used after a few failed attempts with other options. The advantage of this method is that other than root it doesn't change anything else on the system. No new kernels with potential to brick etc.
Just the other day I tried that method, it worked. Anyway, download Siyah Kernel and use Odin to flash it.
Steps:
1. Download http://www.gokhanmoral.com/public/files/siyahkernel/v3.0/Siyah-v3.4.tar
2. Put your phone into download mode (press volume down + home button + power) at the same time.
3. Open Odin (Google Odin 1.85 and download it).
4. Connect the usb cable to the device and computer while Odin is open and it will show in the white box as added.
5. Click select next to PDA in Odin and select the kernel (the tar file) and start.
You will now have root access and Clockworkmod Recovery.

Would it be the correct assumption that I need to download this file:

Load it into Odin (PDA) and with my phone in download mode and click start?

Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i is one
of the most popular and best-selling
low-end Android smartphones with
nice features. The phone was
released with Android 2.2 (Froyo)
and was later upgraded to version
2.3.6 Gingerbread. Modest specs of
the this handset make it unqualified
to be updated to Ice Cream
Sandwich or Jelly Bean but there are
qualified and skilled developers out
there who have successfully, but not
buglessly, developed custom ROMs
and mods to give you some ICS and
JB flavor.
If you have recently tried a custom
ROM and now want to go back to
original Gingerbread ROM, you can
install it manually. Sometimes the
device does not start properly
because it is caught in a bootloop
and you can only see the Samsung
logo with your device name. In such
a situation, installing the official
ROM is the best solution.
Getting Prepared
Download appropriate firmware

“Start” button.
Multi-file Installation:
1. In case you choose to install a
multi-file firmware, run Odin3
1.84.exe as administrator and
connect your phone to PC while
it is in Download mode.
2. When the device is connected,
the ID:COM will turn yellow.
3. Make sure that “Re-Partition”,
“Auto Reboot” and “F Reset
Time” options are checked on
Odin.
4. Now click on PIT button and
select the .pit
file: cooperve_0623.pit
5. Then click the PDA button and

hey man,
im a newbie here, can you help me unbrick my galaxy ace s5830i , ived looked at several how to tutorials but im just haveing a problem on finding an australian stock rom for my phone! , please help , it would be a pleasure
Please help!
Hi guys,
I'm a newbie, and I decided to root my phone yesterday. Once it was rooted successfully, i tried flashing a couple of ROMS (Ace of spades & Slimbean) and both didn't work because of an rror in the file. I then downloaded Razodroid 2.5, and insatlled it (after installing CWM 5), it said installation complete and i tried to reboot my phone, but its stuck on the logo screen. I've looked at so many different tutorials to unbrick it, downloaded all the different setups needed, but the problem is that it just won't go into recovery.
If i press down all the buttons, the logo comes on once, and then just stays blank for as long as i hold the buttons down, and if i let go of the buttons the logo comes up again and stays there.
I tried doing it through ODIN, but if it won't go in to recovery mode how do i get it to work? It doesn't even connect to the computer.
Please help me, I am really upset and frustrated by this, and no longer have a phone. I am at my wits end. Please tell me how to fix this.

Hi there,
in short:
1. Download appropriate Stock ROM for your region from XDA, SamMobile or SamsungUpdate.
2. Make sure correct drivers for your device are installed.
3. Get and install latest Odin 3.09.
4. Put your phone in Download Mode.
5. Flash stock ROM (learn how to use Odin if you don't know, otherwise you probably brick your device).
6. Perform factory reset via stock recovery. Boot device, done.

If you are having trouble to search for the latest updates for your s2, I suggest going on samfirmware and search for the latest update(google it, open the website, click check for firmware and select details accordingly.). You will need to make a samfirmware account but after that, you can download the file. The .zip file that you download must be flashed with ODIN.
If you don't know how to install this .zip file using odin, follow these steps:
1. Extract the download firmware making sure that you extract the .tar file from the .zip
2. Open ODIN, if you haven't downloaded it yet, google it and click the xda link.
3. Plug in you phone into your computer making sure it is in download mode (press and hold volume down, home, power)
4. Click on the PDA button and locate the .tar firmware file and select it.
5. Click start
6. Once it says successful, your phone will reboot. Quickly make your phone boot into recovery mode(volume up, home, power)
7. Once you are in the recovery menu, navigate the menu with volume buttons and select and confirm factory reset and wipe cache partition (this will delete your apps, but your files will be kept.
8. Reboot your phone then voila, your phone has the latest stock firmware!
I*can not use Odin because my computer does not search the phone.

Even on download mode? If yes, I suggest using mobile odin and download the files, then put the on your phones internal memory. You should try custom stock roms like Neat rom since a lot of the bloat ware from samsung can be removed. I think to do both steps, your phone needs to be pre-rooted. So you will need to download an app that will root your phone. Search on xda (and search on google) for easy root methods or root app. With custom rom method (and after rooting your phone), you will need to install it using CWM or TWRP recovery (volume up, home, power)
But I do not know how to make root android 2.3.4 without a computer.

Easy, just download the root app( try framaroot) on xda using your phone and install that app, making sure unknown sources are allowed, then run it, tap the required exploit then, you're done. You can download the custom rom using your phone too. But, if you don't want to use your computer, this will take longer to do. Since your phone is now rooted, you can also use mobile odin too! For custom stock rom (4.1.2 neat rom), you will need to use rom manager, download the latest recovery for s2 then install it. After, you need to download a Jelly bean kernel onto your phone's internal storage (search for apolo kernel by Pedestre), then download the custom rom into your phones internal storage. Using the steps I've said before, go into recovery mode, then:
Press install from zip, select whichever storage location you downloaded your files in, select the JB kernel, then once it installs, your phone will reboot. You will notice your phone will not boot properly and will restart back into the recovery. Once booting back into recovery, install the neat rom zip file and then the aroma installer will pop up with all the options you can choose from.
I can not use the computer because the computer does not detect the phone. And I'd like to stock JB 4.1.2, does not want a custom rom. and how to write it stock JB by mobile odin? And if mobil odin must be PRO or lite?

Then you will still need to do the rooting of your phone. When you download the stock official rom from a website like samfirmware (onto your phones internal storage), you will need to extract it with rar for android (you need to extract the .tar file). Then you basically need to open the odin mobile app, select the pda file then your phone should do install the stock rom. Sorry about saying to download mobile odin from the play store, I forgot chainfire (the dev) made it so you needed to download the .apk file from xda: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2719771&d=1398965576 The one on the play store was an optional payment to support the dev.

As long as you select the right file for the right usage. (E.g PDA for phone software, etc) if you follow my steps, your phone should be all good. Just make sure you have enough battery during the process.
what about the bootloader? On another forum I asked was it said that the renovation of GB / ICS to JB need to update the bootloader.

The boot loader should already come with the stock rom package. When I flashed stock ics on my device, it automatically downgraded the bootloader for me. Note: sometimes, stock firmware packages can have more than one file included, but they have the uses stated at the end of the file name.
So this means that you do not need the bootloader I upgrade I can immediately upload the stock JB?

Once again. The bootloader is automatically updated during the upgrade process. No additional steps required to update bootloader. So yes, you can just flash JB immediately.
