About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). Since then many others have joined the project and it has grown a whole lot. We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone to help other projects and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. That said it has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc.....
We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask is that you search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

So just to be sure other than wiping the usual dalvik, cache and data I should also wipe my internal sd card ? and after flashing I shouldn't restore apps using titanium backup ? thanks.
Edit : Do I also have to be using TWRP ?

wiping internal is recommended as files are stored there by apps which could cause issues if restored
its ok to restore user apps/games with titanium but not system apps
twrp is recommended as other recoveries are not tested
I would like to report that flashing through philz touch recovery worked quite well for me, thanks for your work

i expected it would , i have used philz myself in the past but do prefer twrp and as a team du does recommend using twrp...

I love the ROM, I know they are heavily under development, I cannot wait for future releases.
ROM is working very smooth so far but encounter one problem: I can't set an alarm. I tried to use the default clock and Alarm Clock Plus but they both freeze when I change settings for an alarm...Thanks and keep up the good work!
How is the battery life????

Yeah, I uninstalled Alarm Clock Plus and after a reboot the default Clock-app seems to work fine. Tested setting an alarm and works like a charm now :silly:.
Got problem with camera that doesn't save pictures......but ī M with Philz and slim multi gaps. .......

Downloading now, I settled on DU for KitKat, really enjoyed the feel of that ROM. Interested to see how DU feels on a stick

No there's no modifications made to the theme and NO, there's no feature list.

I just wanna say thanks SO much for supporting the CDMA devices too. I was a big fan of KK DU on m7spr. I often wish I was on GSM to benefit from better development but you guys think of us too and I'd probably use DU no matter what device/carrier I'm on. You guys have the best ROM and I'm pumped to try out this and future builds. I'll make a note of any issues, but thanks again!!
Update: Everything works - definitely usable as a daily driver. Issues i've seen so far (m7spr):
- maybe like 1000 different APNs listed, though it is choosing the proper one so doesn't matter much.
- screen-off animation is a bit glitchy

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). Since then many others have joined the project and it has grown a whole lot. We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone to help other projects and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. That said it has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc.....
We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask is that you search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Wife loved DU on her MyTouch 4G a few years back. Since I was the one to set that up for her I had the opportunity to see how the rom did. Now that I have my S4 and see you over here I just had to try this Rom out. Loving it so far, phone is very quick. This just might be my new favorite rom. Keep up the good work!

Runs great on jflte. Only thing i want is ability to use home button if other hardware buttons are disabled. Can't comment on battery life but i think i found my new favorite rom

Go into Dirty Tweaks, Navigation, Buttons, and turn Custom Actions on. For everything but the home button, choose NONE for the action (normal press, long press, and double tap). Should do what you're looking for.

GPS is working perfectly for me. If you have issues with GPS, there is an easy fix to correct it. Steps below.
1. Flash factory image
2. Boot up and setup Phone
3. Turn GPS to device only
4. Go into Google maps
5. Wait until it says location set using GPS
6. DO NOT EXIT MAPS, immediately power off your phone
7. Reboot into download mode, flash recovery
8. Reboot into recovery, flash DU and gapps
9. Reboot into DU and you should have working GPS

hello my friend, before i flash this rom i want to ask if there is any option in the network for GSM only because the official sprint s4 does not have it.

I don't see a setting. Only for CDMA. BUT it is a great. Romney. Fast. No problems.... WIFI, GPS, ALL working perfectly.
I am noticing this ROM is not getting lots of attention. I have used the Sprint stock Lollipop ROM and tweaked Sprint stock lollipop ROM. This rom is so much faster. Every thing works great. I have only had a wakelock issue with 2 programs: Greenify and Wave Calendar. I deleted them and now my battery life is great. I am also using Wakelock feature in Settings, Dirty Tweaks, Wakelock blocker for only one wakelock issue "*alarm*" I have a feeling this issue is because of Wave Calendar or Greenify.

Great rom but the volume is very low... I have an app called fauxsound but the kernel isn't compatible with it. Can u please let me know if you can of one that I can use with that app?

Very impressed with this ROM. Had some 'System UI' FC's on the 07/05 build but have flashed the 07/19 build today.
Had some problems sending MMS on sprint. I think I fixed the problem by going in the Cellular Network setting, then Access Point Names, then came the Sprint Internet to Sprint LTE internet. Working great now.

Wow just have seen the vids about new features (smartbar, pulse, etc) I just love that! Something different in ROM development for firs time in a little quite time for me

SOT : 2h10min approx on just wifi browsing and no data. Overnight battery drain of 3% from 6h.
note: flashed the rom just 2 days ago, can't actually trust these results.

Remove sim card and restart your phone. And then power off your device. And then insert the sim card and reboot.
Finally, I cane back to my favourite ROM. That's really nice that this ROM working better than TestBuilds. Keep working and fingers-crossing for future updates!
BTW. Anyone know when Google will relase security bulletin for march?

I flashed this ROM clean, no audio mods, so i can't explain why Pulse is not working

Anybody experience any sleep of deaths? I experienced a couple & I'm using Taurus kernel. I've been using this kernel for some time but these didn't occur before. Used CM version with CM13 though, not the AOSP version. Trying to figure out if it's the ROM or the kernel. Using Interactive governer and Mako hotplug (that is the stock configuration of the kernel).

It's not the ROM. I tested it and didn't get any problems. I flashed it clean though and with Taurus as well. Try doing a cache + dalvik cache wipe.

Thanks for the reply.. I did a clean flash too, although I had changed the Low Memory Killer values to "Very Light" preset in Kernel Adiutor. No sleep of deaths last night, I guess that was the culprit.
On a separate note, what is your recommended setting for f-sync?

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Also I cant get mobile network to turn on. Checked apn, rebooted, created separate apn. Nothing. Xt1563 can

For the people with settings FC problem: The problem is related to the ROM launcher. I installed Google Now Launcher and the problem is gone. Try it and see if it does solve the problem.

Let's fire this Dirty F***ing Bad boy up. Fired up without an issue, no fc on settings and mobile data doesn't seem to connect.
i flashed TBO gapps and like usual, I never restore my data and apps through googles servers as I find that causes issues with Theme chooser

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days -- it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and gained contributors in the process. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew further with experience and learned a lot more along the way.
It has been an awesome learning experience and it's still not over! We are still learning, striving to grow each day, and continuing to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We do not believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going comes out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. I'm getting a FC from the theme chooser, what gives?
This is due to restoring data/apps from Google. Go ahead and clear data and cache for theme chooser and theme provider then reboot you should be good moving forward.
I changed my LCD density and now the navbar looks weird, what gives?
This is currently an issue that we are aware of and are addressing. For now, after you've changed the density -- reset navbar layout or stay on the stock density.

Tried lollipop and marshmallow bootloader and modem, no WiFi. Can also confirm the security settings force closing.

No AOSP rom have VOLTE support for our device.

Any ETA on the Nougat version? I have yet to find an AOSP or CM rom that does not crash randomly and has LTE and security settings.
