Hoping to pick myself up a Z3 compact tab soon, but just wondering if the Dual shock 4 can be used with apps other than Playstation Remote?
Games like Xcom or Vice City? Emulator apps like Retroarch?

Asphalt 8 is another great one that supports DS4.
I was pretty disappointed that Need for Speed didn't work though.

So i got a hold of the apk file for minecraft mobile and its working fine on my phone, Except the game is exclusive to the sony Xperia phone witch has buttons ;(. So this game isn't tailored for touch screen play, Anyone have any ideas?

Actually, it is Install a CM7 nightly.
Lets make a list of working games on the Kindle Fire HD. Most of these games can be found on the Google Play Store from your Kindle Fire HD, others have been purchased but would not install unless side-loaded.
If you know of some other games that work great please let me know and i will keep this list updated.

Real racing 2 works for me, but the gyroscope is messed up, have to tilt right to turn left and vice-versa. Any suggestions?
On a side note, it actually runs better on the HD than on the nexus 7.

i tried to play modern combat 3 but i get a error message incompatible device. does anyone know how to make modern combat 3 work on the kindle fire hd???

just enable gamepad, it works on n64oid and dead trigger, asphalt, and other games.

Loads and runs, but the screen keeps flipping - this happens with screen locked or unlocked. Any thoughts? I've been playing it with the game tilted so it doesn't change orientation.
Wild Blood works also.
What's side load ,,is that just something for kindle fire,,,because I've been trying to get this to work for a week now

Apps from unknown sources are allowed on the kfhd, not just the ones in the amazon app store.
You can get free apps from websites like 1mobile, getjar, 4shared, and freewarelovers to mention a few.
You download the app as an apk file and install it after it completes. You'll find it in notifications tab and just click on it and then install.

Got it working on mine. Not rooted. Installed frameworks and then googleplay, open play and register ypur email, then close. This is only so gameloft games open since most of them (at least if you side load them) try to access google play somehow... this worked for me, but cant get to play Nova since it says is not compatible... well... Got modern combat for what its worth xP
Note: For the incompatible device I downloaded and apk I found on internet which had compatibility off. That did the job for me (Version 1.0.1). Hope it helps.

I install Need for speed shift but the accelerometer seem go wrong,when I tilt left the control steer right and when I tilt right the control steer left.
Please help me.
That issue seems to be driver related; in that the accelerometer will touch out if software and hardware are properly integrated. Mods and/or custom Roms will fix this problem.

ok I am sure allot of us are getting frustrated with the lack of market support for apps due to the Screen resolution, or whatever reason... but what are some apps that are not supported by the play store that work fine... and also ones that crash or dont function properly

The game Rayman Jungle Run is marked incompatible in the Play Store, but on Amazon Apps it says it is compatible.
When sideloaded the game runs perfect, and it is gorgeous with those hand drawn art assets.
I hope they patch dead zone the game is so badass I even play it with the pink guys but I would like it to work

I haven't had this issue at all, almost all apps on the market work fine for me. I was even able to install the XDA App for Tablets directly from the Market (it works without a hitch). It makes me interested in sideloading some apps from my Prime, given the DNA does have a very high res display. Will post results.
Angry birds star wars HD starts up but when selecting a level it instantly quits.

GTA Vice City works great when side loaded. Bought it on Nexus 7 and used titanium backup then installed on DNA. Works flawless!:laugh:

which app didn't work? I used my backups from my nexus to restore my games to my DNA and I had no issues other than angry birds star wars FC...
ChompSMS - had to install it from their website. Works great.

I have to disagree.
The Themes & APPs section is only for Themes & APPs, not discussions about what games work.
It is fine here in the general

Hi there, the game SSX is exclusively available for Xperia Z series phones.
I have edited my build.prop to have the Z's model number and the game starts up fine, I can get to the training drop but it eventually locks up and restarts the game, has anyone managed to get this game to play correctly? It looks like it freezes because of a lack of RAM, wish it would work! Looks really good!
Can anyone on 4.3 with the extra RAM test out the game?

I made it on the tutorial but after a while, the app restarts, I'm on hard multitasking mode on RAM manager. I'm also running 4.3 on XSP.
