I guess I can dirty flash over cm12 23/1 nightly?? Looks a good rom and will try it and report if I can as using cm12 as my daily rom.

Is everything works in this new ROM?

Battery low
hi
First of all thanks for this ROM
But I have a problem with the battery after installation (I was at [UB ] 4.4.4 Port KTU84P GPE )
No restart ZU -> empty battery , I plug my battery and the red light flashes , so the empty battery installed , namely my recovery was a Philz, The problem just might be there
Sorry for my english , I'm french

Red LED flashing = non-stock based ROM flashed onto a device which has not had it's bootloader unlocked. The 4.4.4 Port KTU84P GPE can be installed on a device with a locked bootloader.
Are you sure that you have unlocked the bootloader?

I'm experiencing a really annoying bug with this rom. When putting the screen to sleep, it becomes really dark when re-waking.
Changing brightness makes no difference. I've changed all settings in the display yet the screen is so dark it's not readable...
The only way around this is to reboot. However, when putting the phone to sleep it becomes dark again.
Any ideas?

I observed this on my Moto G Lollipop Soak test too, so I guess this is from Google itslef.
The workaround I guess is to enable Adaptive backlight from Settings > Display > (Last second option)

Try enabling adaptive backlight in display settings.
That fixed it for me

I tried that and the screen keeps going dim once brightened.

Hello everybody,
does this ROM have FM Radio included?

Same flicker and darkness issues I had in the crDroid ROM are present here, other than that everything works, tried the advanced backlight settings thing, didn't work.

Shouldnt it be happening on the GPE version if it was from google? It does not happen for me in GPE 5.0

Same issue here. Strange thing is that when the screen became dark, it was FAR darker than even when set to minimum brightness.
I could barely see the screen.
However, it's not only this rom, but another rom or two I tried, all being Cyanogen gave me the very same bug despite re-flashing/wiping/data/cache, etc...
It's a pity since apart from this issue, the rom looks and runs great. It offers excellent customization, tweaking, etc...

Super ROM!
Super ROM!! Really love it!
Excellent job!
Thanks for all of your effort, it IS much appreciated!!
My earlier post regarding BT error was a result of my error not the ROMs.
Thanks again!

Install Synapse using instructions from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z-ultra/general/zip-synapse-script-universal-kernel-t2994224
and then try changing the backlight brightness settings from there. Let me know if it helps to bring the backlight up to normal levels.

I had to factory reset the watch and connect with Bluetooth rather than NFC. Also don't restore Smart Connect from TiBu.

Network not working for some reason :\ Coming from stock firmware , rooted and installed Philz Dual recovery and flash this rom . Everything is smooth and buttery but there is no network ! Any fix ?

What's Broken:
You tell...
ROMS
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy KK.
You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it!
CWM or TWRP Recovery is highly recommended
ROM has GAPPS, custom dpi & xposed persistance in between dirty flashes
Feel free to use AICP full 4.4.2 GAPPS package from HERE or thread's Download page...

Yes Wifi hotspot is working, very nice!
I didn't find bugs so far. Just noticed some slow touch feedback in some cases, but acceptable.
Where is the option to add more tiles to the Quick Settings panel? (eg. to switch from sound to vibrate or mute)

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days, it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). However, many others have joined the project since and it has grown a lot. We have seen a wide variety of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone on to help other projects, and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base, which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. With that said, it has been an awesome learning experience and it's still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc.....
All we do ask is that you search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Very impressive ROM. Lots of features included. Great work. Doesn't have the backlight/screen flicker issues some of the other lollipop ROMs have. This is my new daily driver, only problem is you can't record video still but I'm sure that'll get fixed sometime soon.

Loved DU on my razr maxx :good:
How do i flash it using Multirom?
tried but stuck at Sony logo.
Thanks.
Sounds cool. Will ya update features and bugs in the post, soon?
ambient display FC ....
bugs?
1. Google music stopped playing music after the first song played. After a reboot songs on app will disappear.
Used an app to scan media but still song won't play and will promt "DSP manager stops responding"
2. Google Play hang ups after google music bug happened
3. H+ icon on signal was a bit overlapped ob signal icon
4. No option to transfer app data to microSD
5. Some hang-ups on system and FC's on some apps.
6. Built in keyboard : popup characters are not displayed correctly
FYI
last thing, can I install other kernel? EX: Zombie Kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z-ultra/development/anykernel2-zombie-t2926584
I flashed the ROM a few hours ago but with ZombieKernel instead of the CrDroid one attached. Everything seems to work well, the only detail is that I lose my WiFi connection sometimes or rather, it is connected but apps claim that they are unable to access the Internet. Turning it off and then on again fixes it.
The other item I noticed is that nothing happens when I try to add quick toggles.
Beside those minor things, everything seems to be smooth and stable.
I like all those Lollipop ROMs that arrived recently and it is a great performance improvement over KitKat even when I used optimized Bionic/Dalvik.

I did this 30 minutes ago and - knock on wood - it seems to work now (had the device on sleep while taking a shower and it still had WiFi connection):
Copy all the files in "/etc/firmware/wlan/prima" to "/data/misc/wifi/prima" and Reboot. (Don't forget the permissions)
Otherwise, it feels like Dirty Unicorns is a very promising project. Perhaps my WiFi problems was router related since my C6802 (Validus Lollipop) started to act up all of a sudden WiFi wise so I made a "Norwegian Reset" of the router and it seems to be OK now.
The only thing I hope is that future builds can be dirty flashed since the lack of working Titanium Backup (app restore) is a bit annoying. Some users recommended the zip method and I will consider that option (make a flashable zip), which could work since my C6602 is still running KitKat. I.e. that I restore my backup on my Xperia Z, make flashable zip out of it and then flash it on the two Ultra's I have.
It seems like the WiFi fix did it. It seems to have a reliable connection now. I also noticed a lack of APNs but put my T-Mobile one in from my head and LTE works great. An excellent ROM simply put.
Hi
Is this ROM compatible with MultiROM (does the kernel have kexec hardboot feature?) or do i need to flash the Zombie LP Kernel for compatibility with MultiROM?

I am afraid that the WiFi bug is still affecting me. I tried to make calls through Hangouts Dialer now and they simply timed out. The WiFi indicates connection but the sound disappears and a check with the web browser give errors about "no connection".
Since I like the ROM very much, I will flash it on my C6802 "Test Device" and return it to the C6833 when I see that the WiFi bug is killed.
It seems like it somehow "looses" the connection intermittently.

AICPAndroid Ice Cold Project
This is NOT my work! I only compiled this ROM for our beloved Z-Ultra aka Togari
.
.
.
.
.
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

You tell..
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Lollipop.
Don't do it if you don't know it
Make sure you are either on any Lollipop or KitKat ROM (CM11, etc) or on 4.4.2 Sony based ROM and NOT on 4.3 (or older) Sony based ROM
Make sure your Bootloader is unlocked!
Download the latest build
Download Gapps
Take a nandroid backup
Recommended - Full wipe and factory reset
Flash ROM using any recovery
Flash Gapps
Wipe cache/dalvik
Reboot.
Don't fix root if asked!
Enjoy!
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes

FAQ
Q: How often is this ROM getting updated?
A: I try to post updates as often as i can
OTA is not working so don't try using that
Q: Does this work using Using MultiROM?
A: No, not for now
For replace CM-Recovery with TWRP use http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/219 and flash using fastboot flash FOTAKernel
Screens (some from Shamu, should be the same on togari)
nice another LP rom. keep it ups guys!
does this ROM has the brightness bug?

No, using fastboot via commandline.
I think you can also use TWRP Manager app from Playstre but I did NOT test that
Video playback working? Have had good experiences with AICP in the past - thanks!
Of course!
Also Version number just got bumped to 8.0 Final
Expect an update in a few hours
I was able to get this flashed and working fine, and it works with the TWRP recovery 2.8.4.1. I'll put some more time into it after the next update.
Thanks for this!
Is there a list of features? I am hoping to find a build with a working sound dsp or similar that allows me to boost the headset output. So far, the ones I have tried with the features do not really work.
Thanks!
It doesn't FC, but i don't seem to notice any impact.
Guess it's a CM issue and will get sorted out sooner or later
Edit: Untill then try out PowerAmp... EQ / Preamp works great!
Will check again when the 8.0 Release build has finished
Also feature list will come later!
Edit: Update is out
Activating MusicFX breaks default MusicApp
Very nice ROM. Pretty stable if you ask me. Is their any way you can add a fix for the 4G icon? It should show LTE but shows 4G instead near the Signal Icon.
Does the camera work on this rom?, and what about the dimness flicker???

As stated in the OP this ROM is not my work, I've only built it, so my guess would be no
However, you can make a feature request on their G+ Community to bring back the feature from kitkat
But the folks there a pretty busy so don't get your hopes up

Camera works good. As for the Brightness flicker, it looks like its fixed. I am thinking mine keeps dimming down because of Overheat protection. But it isn't as bad as it was before.
AICP is freakin' awesome!

You can flash a kernel with faux123's Sound Control and use his FauxSound app to increase the gain. Zombie kernel, crDroid kernel and Slim kernel all come with this feature.
For additional sound control (it also has gain boost), you can install Viper4Android (I got the standard version). Make SELinux permissive, uncheck Nuplayer in development settings, then flash LolliViper and open the app to install the driver and adjust the sound. :good
EDIT: Just noticed that disabling NuPlayer breaks some video functionality for me - like playing videos in Snapchat or Photos - so I'm enabling it again. Viper still works, so I guess that step is unnecessary!

Didnt know Zombie had that option. I will try the latest release.
Thanks!
Apperently just flashing Zombie-Kernel fixes the default AudioFX! Thanks @Triflot
I have two things to report from my C6802:
1. It seems like the navbar disappears in landscape on 240 DPI. It is a similar bug to what happened in Candy but different in the sense that this one acts up in tablet mode while the other does it in phone mode.
2. The BT audio bug seems to be present, still (dropouts after a while, should be possible to work around it with Bluetooth Keepalive).
Beside those two things, the ROM seems to be great - especially with ZombieKernel.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)
Q) My Bootloader Is Locked But Can I Try This Without Unlocking?
A) No. Flash this Only if you are on UBL.
Q)I'm On Locked Bootloader Please Help Me Unlock My Bootloader/Root My Phone
A) Please don't ask such questions in this thread. THere are many other threads in General Section Which Can help You.
Q) Can I dirty flash build X over Build Y?
A)(X&Y being both AICP Official Nightlies) If you want to, you may. But Report Bugs Only If You Have Clean Flashed.
Q)"ROM feels laggy after a few days of usage. Please Help Me"
A)
Go to your build.prop. At the end add these lines
dalvik.vm.image-dex2oat-filter=everything
dalvik.vm.dex2oat-filter=everything
Then Go To recovery and wipe cache/dalvik cache (don't skip this step or it won't work!!!!)
basically it makes ART compile more stuff than just the usual apps. it optimises many things.
Downside of this is a slightly longer booting time (AICP Had This Before but has now been removed)
Q) " Help!!! Can't flash anything because of ugly Cyanogen Recovery"
A) Go download Rashr from playstore and flash philz from that app or search for a TWRP Image and flash it with Rashr
Q)FM Transmitter range is very less.
A)Take your standard headphones/earphones/whatever you call it and insert it halfway into the headphone jack. Not completely, just halfway so that the phone doesn't recognise the earpods. Then transmitter range will be improved.
Q)You call it nightlies, yet an update doesn't come on a night to night basis
A) Nightlies for huashan are built in every 36-48 hours gap on the build server
Q)I want to have a lollipop xperia styled AICP
A) Install XperiaPOP Z4 Theme, [if you want you can download some more wallpapers from the link at my signatture] then search for ibanez 7 sony apps port for cm12 and install your choiced apps and enjoy a near to sony experience.
Note: This is what I do, if you have a better setup, please do share and I'll update it here
Q) How do I know when AICP for huashan is going to be built?
A) Here visit this link : http://jenkins.aicp-rom.com/job/android/
Note: If any one else wants to build a cm12.1 based ROM for XSP, here is my local manifests file, feel free to download it and use it
One of the most improtant things that we look forward to in any ROM we are going to flash would be the Battery Backup.. As this is also a custom rom, it will obviously have lesser battery optimisations. Thus to squeeze out as much battery as possible and yet not forgo much on the performance, the following are some battery saving tips and tricks to help you out. This should be universally applicable for all 5.1.x Roms...
Requirements
Clean Flashed ROM
Tangerine Kernel (Any version you prefer)
Kernel Adiutor
Xposed Installer With Framework (Installation Insructions Later)
Power Nap For Xposed
Instructions
Assuming that you have already clean flashed ROM, SuperSU, GApps and have set up your device.
Open Kernel Adiutor
CPU Governor Set To Conservative (Explanation Later)
Open CPU Governor Tunables
Set values down_threshold = 50, freq_step = 8, up_threshold=70
Then go back, set multicore power saving to Enabled and set Apply On Boot at top
Go to CPU Hotplug and apply MPDecision and Apply On Boot
If heavy gamer skip this step else put GPU Governor to simple and Apply On Boot
Go To I/O Scheduler, there put Internal Scheduler fiops, External Scheduler bfq, external read ahead 256 kB and Apply On Boot
Thanks to @ckrishnakanthc , my bro for helping me out with these kernel settings...
Now we have completed half of the process. The other half is having a stamina mode like saver in our phone which is Power Nap for Xposed.
So, here are the instructions to install Power Nap for Xposed.
First and foremost, instructions to install Xposed. This is the method I've followed.
Download xposed-sdk22-arm-2015*.zip from romracer's thread. Please read original thread also for information.
Then download XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha2.apk from rovo89's thread
Flash the zip file from romracer's thread from recovery and reboot and install xposed apk.
Then refer my previous post and join Power Nap's tester g+ community then opt in to be a tester and download app from playstore.
If you are on Enforcing Kernel, then you might want to download the update from the pinned post to get statistics.
Activate Power Nap Xposed Module, reboot and enjoy..
Now by having those kernel tweaks and this Power Nap for Xposed, we can have a better battery backup on our custom ROMs...
Also as for the explanation for having to use conservative governor(thanks to @HipKat 's thread . Do read the thread for more information)
This governor prefers the lowest clock speed of the CPU for as often as possible. Which means that it goes to highest frequency only when a huge and persistent load is applied. This is better than the default governor Ondemand because Ondemand simply ramps up to the highest frequency irrespective of what kind of load it is, even a little load and the CPU goes to full speed thus wasting much power. Hence conservative is more preferred.
By following the above two methods I got a screen on time of 6 hours 15 minutes (screenshot it attachments) and my usage comprised mostly of streaming anime, browsing internet, playing tactile and whatsapp (so I would call it medium usage) and had a total of 14 extra apps installed other than micro GApps and default apps.Well anyway hope this helps you people out.
Some beautiful Apps
If you have Xposed installed then go download Serajr Blurred System UI (LP) . It looks very nice!
Also Another app called AcDisplay is awesome. It's like ambient display but much better (Switch of default ambient display if you are going to try this)
DiscoLight Lollipop!!! (It's In Xperia SP Themes And Apps) .. What's Xperia SP Without A Beautiful LED Music Beat!!!!
It's for Locked bootloader or UBL??
Just Installed, looks very nice and smooth!!

Here im again... First i want to this is the perfect rom! Best
Some bugs that I'm facing
Slim shortcuts giving me system ui force close
And if i set a pattern and set slim shortcut (torch, greenify + lockscreen)
And when i tap them on lockscreen locked then they dont work..
Whereas on kitkat they worked if my phone is locked..
Torch icon is showing..
It is slim shortcut which is giving me fc.. When i go in lockscreen shorcuts and i add slim shortcut then it gives me fc
And when i add torch(working fine but no icon)
Third when i tap on torvh torch or abt any other shortcut shortcut on lockscreeb then t says to first unlock nd then that shortcut works.. (although in kitkat rom if u add torch or grrenify shortcut on lockscreen it works without unlocking the phone)
In last rom is soooo awesome
First impressions
Very nice rom.
It is very stable, fast and it has good battery life (4-4.5 h on screen).
Calls, and wifi work excellent.
Keep the good work :good: :good:
Sir the rom is best but there is no glove mode in the settings, so kindly include it

I'm sorry bro, my bad. I got confused with Slim Actions on the notification drawer . I'll see what I can do about it. I'll check if the problem is in AICP source or whether it's only for us.

Who can use it
It's only for Z3 DUAL users with UNLOCKED UPGRADED BOOTLOADER (Devices on 23.5.A.1.291 release)
How to install (the same like here):
First time install:
Make sure your rom is on 23.5.A.1.291 (Marshmallow release)
Power of the device and go into fastboot mode (plug usb + vol down key = blue led)
Flash latest TWRP version | If you are a Dual user, flash zip below before installing Dual version. / Also, if you already have a working TWRP (kernel/adv kernel) you can use the flashable zips below instead.
Shutdown the device
Maintain volume down & power until you see twrp splash screen
Wipe system, dalvik/cache and data
Install rom zip (+ gapps if you need it)
Reboot
Gapps: I prefer opengapps
TWRP Recovery for Z3dual:
you have to flash this before flashing the rom in order to be able to flash
it because it is specified for the recoveries of z3dual only

Issues:
I advise to disable microphone permission for google app because it blocks microphone in calls for me
Brightness has weird behaviour (sometimes perfect sometimes the screen is likely off when the brightness is zero, I advise disabling auto brihtness)
Slow charging (maybe solved in the latest release)
sometimes overheats

for camera you have to restart the phone after the first camera open, then it will work perfectly (after installation, open camera, it'll show black screen, restart, open again, works )
for the brightness it is related to the rom maker (RR) i think

That's correct, I'll try to fix that
Hello, thank frend you for the rum, I will report the error report
The phone is heated very hot with active use. What causes the brightness to fall and it becomes hard to see what's on the screen, what can you do about it?
In general, the build is very good, no problems, thanks a lot for the work done, this is the best firmware of all that I've seen!
Will elitkernel on this firmware? And it's a pity that they removed magisk in the second release, in the first release of Android Pay works! Now have to do extra moves to install magisk ...

Actually there are currently 3 main issues that I see
1. Slow charging
2.Display brightness is weird, sometimes works correctly and sometimes it falls black when you lessen the brightness, so I don't advise to turn auto brightness on
3.Overheating sometimes, maybe the cause is the high processor usage when I see
Any other issues please let me know
I am the one who removed magisk I thought that supersu is better, next build will include magisk God willing
For elite kernel I haven't tested it, give a feedback

It seems that the brightness is now good, but needs confirmation from more than one
The device becomes warm, but not overheating mostly

The maximum temperature I got browsing on facebook, whatsapp and instagram was approximately 34 to 36 °C;
-There was overheating in the camera and in playing games, nothing out of the ordinary ranged from 37 to 40,5 ºC moderate use of the camera.
