Can't copy files to sdcard - Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooti

Hi
Two weeks ago I bought Z3T wifi 32gb and micro SDXC 64gb. I have android 4.4.4 non rooted and I can't copy any files to sdcard. any way to fix it? I don't want to make root.

Android KitKat has a few limitations if you want access to external memory. Use Sony pre-installed app File Commander to handle your SD card. Works in my case.
Good luck

[Q] after I have rooted.....

So I am going to pick up a NT next week reguardless but I need to know. If you root the NT, does that clear up being able to use ALL of the 16GB internal storage? I know that as it comes, only 1GB of non B&N contact. Or do I have to install a different ROM to use all of the 16GB

Kinda...load stuff onto a sd card and then use root explorer app to move to your internal locked down internal storage.

Sorry....I do not have the tablet yet so I dont fully understand. So if I flash the Gapps and get the full market. I still can't install past the 1GB but if I "side load" (I believe that is what you are explaining) then I can exceed the 1GB and use the other 15GB?
Please let me know if I am understanding this corectly
np, I dont have it either...yet.
So what I've read, sideloading and installing apps from markets (amazon, google android) all goes to the 15gb storage. When you plug in usb to computer, only the 1gb is available to transfer files. So use an external micro sdcard to transfer files from computer and then use root explorer on the tablet to move from the 1gb to 15gb storage to get around it all.

[Q] Prestigio PMP5101c - Internal memory/storage

Hello,
since Christmas I'm a happy owner of Prestigio PMP5101c.
But I've installed a lot of apps, ran out of free space and found out that I can't move the apps to the external SD card, but there's only option to move it to the internal storage (the tablet memory is separated into internal memory/internal storage), so it seems like the external SD card is good only for movies, music, etc.
I downloaded some apps (like APP2SD), but it recognizes the internal storage as an SD card and the external SD card isn't even showing in there.
Is there a way (through rooting, custom firmware) how I can change this? Or maybe a config file?
Thank you very much for you help. :good:

Hi.
I also have this model (well PMP5101C_QUAD) and i use AppMgr Pro III to move apps to internal storage. I have over 100 apps installed with over 100mb free.
I am looking to root it, but can't get it to succeed at the moment. Very fast and good tablet.

[Q] [Android 5.0] Can't access files on external SD.

Hello.
I have Android 5.0 since the update on the Nvidia Shield Tablet, and I think it is really good.
But since the update I can't access my 64gb micro SD (I also tested it with a 2gb one) in any file explorer. I have it rooted.
Can anyone help me?
Regards Casper.

How to root my Xperia M4? And how to use external memory as internal memory?

Hey guys, my phone has literally only got 400MB of internal memory left and I wanted to do something about it.
Apparently in order for me to use my external memory (micro-sd) card, I'll need to root my Android device first.
How do I root my Xperia M4 Aqua - 8GB? I have checked and it does indeed have a unlocked bootloader (don't know what that is but apparently that's good) and how can I root it so it doesn't get bricked? I don't want to use any customized ROM or anything as I heard that you can get bricked via that. I just want to root it, nothing else.
And after rooting, how do I use my micro-sd card as internal memory on the phone? Thanks!
Hello!
Follow this guide to get ROOT; http://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/tut-blu-twrp-root-xperia-m4-aqua-t3238962
I use link2sd to link apps to SD card.
You have to make two partitions on The sd card.
Google link2sd and you will find plenty of guides
Good luck
Another thing worth mentioning is that Android Marshmallow has support for merging your SD card and internal memory into one, meaning that the SD card will literally become an extension of the internal memory. However, you'd have to wait for the Marshmallow update for your Xperia M4 aqua for that..which will most likely arrive early next year.

Hi all
Please can anyone help me understand if it is possible to use an external SD card as the internal card. I bought 2 of these tablets for my twin boys 7 years old and somehow it runs out of space. I put in an external SD 32gb but not all apps can move to it and updates from play store not downloading due to no space. I have rooted the tablets and unlocked the bootloader, installed Xposed framework with obb to sd and xinternal but it doesn't do the trick. Is there anyway to trick the ROM into seeing the external SD as the internal?
