I have a stock Z2, no root and Android 4.4.4. I am not very happy with the default camera app. Focus is not working very good and gives me bad pictures. Does anyone have some suggestions on a good camera app and which app are you using to take pictures?

I tried google camera app, and pics quality is quite nice

First of all next time post in Q&A section. Stock camera app is the best app for our device. I'm on stock 4.4.4 on locked BL without root and images on superior auto are beautiful looking and very sharp. :good:

Pro Capture,A Better Camera, Cameringo+,Snap Camera hdr and Google Camera are great alternatives

If you want a simple decent camera go for lgcamera... if you want an amazing camera with lots of features go for Camera 360 or Camera ZoomFX....

i know that dude its also my favourite but we can't use in cynogenmod based roms thats why i'm asking

Use Stock camera from GingerBread. It has simplistic 'point-and-shoot' feature. I liked it most over all available apps in Market. The results are fast and good.

lgcamera is very simple and also has flash enabled when taking video. Highly recommended.It comes in free and paid version. Worths the money...go for it!!!

In my opinion, clarity wise Camera ZoomFX would be a better choice...

I download the 4.2 camera apk from xda Android forum. It works, but the photo sphere pictures are blurry. The others taken with the camera are not. Any ideas? I am on rooted stock.

4.2 camera or the new 4.3?
if the new 4.3 camera then that is one of the drawbacks to using the aosp camera on touchwiz unfortunately
both photosphere and panorama will give you blurry pictures.

Oh, drat. Yes, it is the 4.3. I had rooted to use titanium backup, but wanted to try the photo sphere. Is there anything else I can do?

Make a backup in recovery of your current stock rooted, flash a 4.2.2 aosp ROM and try and then restore back to stock rooted after your fun is done

If it still doesn't work,
Go to Camera,
Position your camera at the starting point of the PhotoSphere (hold it straight up).
Zoom in all the way.
Don't move the camera.
Go to Video mode.
Zoom in all the way.
Don't move the camera.
Go to PhotoSphere mode.
It should work out fine

Thanks so much for this!!!! I have been trying to get photosphere to work properly on multiple roms and had resigned myself to accepting that it just wasn't meant to be on our phone. The zooming in tip finally yielded a sharp photosphere pic!

It's because the TW have the drivers and some optimizations to improve the camera quality. CM have open source drivers, and that's why it have worse quality than TW roms.

A Better Camera (resp. the Pro Version) is my choice .
Pictures are pretty good, tons of features and ... AFAIK ... the only Market Camera with HDR Support.

The app I used that took pictures with closer quality stock camera app was the Camera ZOOM FX.

Currently I'm using the moKee 6.0.1 V1 ROM. With this ROM and on all stock roms before the camera didn't work that awesome as it COULD be with this beast of a 21 Sony camera lens. The photos aren't as crisp and sharp as I've imagined they would be, as well as that autofocus isn't working properly. I think that this is a software related issue.
Do you guys have a good camera app for our Le Max 2?

I can't help you as I'm on stock 017s and I'm using xposed but without the xprivacy, and no sophos.
Hm thanks anyway. I doesn't seem to work with my moKee v1. Maybe it'll work with moKee v4.
I am with cm and the same problems the cm camera works but it have focus issues and others. Can someone post here the 17s stock apk camera.

I'm using footej camera app and raw works but everything is very washed out, faded color instead of dark rich vibrant like it's counterpart jpg? Anyone know if this is a driver issue of the phone even with the camera2api enabled?
I know custom roms can never have the camera quality as the stock roms, but is there any camera app that's better than the camera app on Lineage? The front camera as awfully laggy and dark.

You can download various camera apps from Playstore. If that does not suits you, try this. I tried it out myself about a month ago. There were bugs, like facial recognization not working, pics not saving to gallery, very limited pro mode. But I believe you can try it out yourself.
