Download Walkman 8.5.A.2.7 apk from below if you haven’t got the update yet ( we have extracted the apk from our Xperia Z2 ), working on non rooted Android 4.4 running Xperia devices ( compatibility with Android 4.3 unknown ). Update is 14 MB in size, rolled OTA via Sony Update Center app. Below posted apk is confirmed working on Nexus 7 2013, Xperia M2 and Yureka.

It's so ugly, I can't stand the bland, flat, lifeless material design that the whole tech industry seems to be flocking to.. Sony had a very nice design language, this just kills it and sticks out like a sore thumb. Of course, that doesn't mean I want them to update and ruin their other apps either. If this ends up in Playstation and the rest of the xperia platform I might seriously switch phones.. Or at least find a new rom.. I liked the theme engine and Sony design to get away from google's ruining of Android.
Could not be less happy.
Edit- there is a single good thing in this though, outside equalizers and the progress bar at the top of the minimized song when you're looking through the library.

Thanks bro... Working fine on my rooted YU Yureka! I recently upgraded from Xperia E1 and I guess I am used to the good old walkman... There is only the "Sound Enhancements" option available in the settings and that too opens up the default Audio FX equalizer app of Yureka, which is quite nice! My only tiny complain is that the ""Edit music info" option is greyed out and i would love it if there was a way to make that work....

I have tried the Walkman Player + Widget and it's weird that they are not connected, that i can play music from the player itself and another music from the widget, i hope this is fixed in this version, and it kinda sucks that there's no Equalizer on it.
and about this 2.1.1.A.0.46 firmware, according to PTCRB its W8/X8, so is there any chance that X8 will receive this firmware too?

SE homescreen but it can hold more than 1 widget? and it's like the new Mini's where the Corner Shortcuts disappear when the widget will need to consume the space?

Thanks, although i did not try to flash/install custom roms yet, so what i read about Advance restore it will update, but will not delete my files right?
and about google apps? gmail?youtube?google maps etc, do they have the latest version?

2.1.1.A.0.6 had an average of 36-37 FPS, and 530-540 in Quadrant, i hope you can test it out and post results too^^
well.....i've migrated to my GingerFroyo ROM....
the W8 is now fully ported and i am done....
will see if any bug occurs...but by the time all the things are working as they should...

if you install only widget to default x8 2.1 on touch it leads to music player =)

call working okey try to reflash it...................my be is your phone
it is just a lancher that too did not work well.... downloaded it... waste of time.... phone strucks all the time.. and settings to check usb debugging did not work.. reverting back to stock.:crying:

It's a great work Zahid5h made here.
For information as it's based on the 4.2.2 I posted (made with evervolv's sources and scritch007's genius) it got the same bugs... that are the same than cm10.1 ....
So that's why the pin code to unlock doesn't work as it should, the wlod may be here as well....

My experience with launchers hasn't been that great, maybe it's because ours is a low resolution device and it just doesn't look right.

Well yeah the Resolution is quite small for most of the launchers but I don't think Nova has any issues even our device's res. and is quite Good launcher atleast than Touchsh*t wiz

Bug free CM11 has allegedly been released for our holy device at last. It is hotlinked on miui site also. add "thread-57050-1-1.html" to end of miui forum Spread the word guys. Let the development advance, or whatever.

For Gamers!
I tried antutu benchmark 5.1.5 and got 28031 score ( I know it is less) but still i tried fifa 14 and it works!!without a lag!!
Note :
There is no google keyboard pre installed with this rom.When setup comes, instead of keyboard google voice comes up , So After flashing rom , reboot and skip setup! Download keyboard (I used swiftkey ,manually downloaded and put it in internal storage and installed!!) and install it!

I have downloaded the Rom but still can't believe it's free from the reboot bug!! I have the urge to flash but somehow not sure if it's worth the effort ..need someone to confirm

No custom ROM apart from Ivan's AOSP is actually bug free on this phone. God knows when these guys will release the kernel..
Just need softlocker apps.. Hee... But battery consume bigger.. Aospa no random reboot with it..

No problem if you use my SLiM 4.0 as base, but pls don't forget credits
and very welcomed if you request permission before you share this....
- I use timestamp on all of my releases: SLiM 4.0 uses this: 2015.10.06 10:06:06 -> 98% is equal with your(?) ROM files
- build.prop exactly same
- my modded SystemUI
- Sony Notes
- kernel settings
- audio settings
..... etc.

If you took his work as base for your (IMHO) slightly modifications I would write "LolliXperia based on SLiM ROM by Wajk (23.4.A.1.232 android 5.1.1)" on top of the page!... After you asked him to use it...
