F2FS ***F.A.Q***
First, what is F2FS?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F2FS
Increases performances? Some benchmarks
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2697069
How do this?
Good, first you need some recovery with F2FS support for format. I recomended TWRP (include in my CM11 build 02/07 )
And you need convert the ROM for F2FS
First, download F2FS Converter and extact the files of the zip to an folder
Place the ROM zip to the same folder and start "Converter.bat"
Wait to until and remame the ROM zip (For not to be confused :silly: )
Reboot in TWRP
Go to Wipe -> Advanced Wipe
Select /system and select change filesystem
Select F2FS and swipe for formatting
Repeat these step for /data and /cache
Now flash the ROM and Gapps
And done, you have full F2FS! if need check, download Diskinfo from Play Store
How to back to ext4?
Simple, only follow the guide but select ex4 in TWRP and flash the ROM

Thank for your work and your time.... just a request. I can update cm-11-20141016-UNOFFICIAL-janice.zip with your ROM ?

thanks for that info. i already try that xposed module too, we can hear own voice but the coming voice have very slow level. it's okay.. i try your Rom for whole day. simply fast and stable even when overclock. but i face huge battery drain even without overclock. i can rate this 4.7 out of 5 star. stable and fast. sorry but i will revert to stock rom because need of call recording ability. anyway good work man. i sure will use this rom as it daily rom if i'm not need call recording ability.

Do I need to first ROM previous versions?
Hello Epirex, and thanks for the work and time you've given.:good:
I'm a rookie for Flashing ROM's, and had previous Brick experiences from the PDA's times that had Windows CE.:crying:
My Galaxy S Advance is still in original OS, and never flashed before. Do I need to first Flash a previous Versions (say JB) before ROM'ing your 4.4 version? That's not clear for me. Thank you (or those who'll reply) in advance for clarifying this.
Also all of us would appreciate more feedbacks from those who tried this version already.
thanks again.

Introduction
I started this project as a one-time test. But something was still bothering me - the latest version of CM for locked bootloaders was outdated
, so I released my test build to public. It received so much appreciation so I thought to release this periodically - and weeklies, released in the Friday-Saturday-Sunday period are the best I can give to the community. So, now just enjoy CyanogenMod for locked bootloaders!

Changelog
Build #12.5
- added intellimm, a new governor by faux123
It's so new that it's not on any govenor mega list, so here's some info about it:
intelliminmax (intellimm) governor is designed to work with the newer SOCs with fixed voltage rails (ie MSM8974+ SOCs). It is designed to work within thosefixed voltage ranges in order to maximize battery performance while creating a smooth UI operations.
So that's the theory, in practise it's only using three frequencies most often. It look like a stupid idea at a first glance, but the governor gave me another hour of screen on time(previously I was getting 4 hours, now I'm getting 5 hours with minimal perfomance impact)
Some more info here:
https://plus.google.com/+PaulReioux/posts/DkCKEWRJFnf
- added msm_cpufreq_limiter, so now the frequency of the second core is following the user's choice (previously the second core's max frequency was stuck on 1728Mhz)
- added TCP congestion algorithms:
* bic
* westwood
* highspeed
* hybla
* htcp
* vegas
* veno
* scalable
* lp
* yeah
* illinois
Some results with different ones:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28152737&postcount=2
(scroll down and skip all the tweakable values of other things)
- previous lagfix integrated
Build #12.1
- lags fixed
- discard option removed from fstab
Build #12
- fixed glove mode reverting after some time
- added another batch of governors, this time they are more "modern", and imo they are one of the best in its kind:
*smartassV2
*intellidemand2
*intelliactive
(thanks DooMLoRD and pec0ra)
*abyssplug
*adaptive
*badass
- added ROW I/O scheduler(thanks pec0ra)
- now ROM boots with noop, and after booting the default is row
- now ROM boots with performance governor set on boot, and then it gets back to interactive - the good old CM default
- merged improvements from the official trees
- added ZRAM driver, use any app, like Trickster Mod or Performance Control to set it up(thanks bagyusz for the idea and faux123 for the updated zram in Doomlord's kernel)
- CM source update(built off the stable branch)
- added frandom module(fast random number generator, works like Seeder - fyi - seeder and frandom don't give us such wonderful effects as on 2.3, but it at least decreases latencies, so it's an improvement )
- fixed mirroring sound thanks to @Steph310
- fixed SIM storage(SIM contacts, etc.)-proof:
- lowered the lowest brightness value from 10 to 1(seems like stock also uses that as the lowest one)
Older builds:
Build #11
- CM source update, check cmxlog for more info
- added some governors for you to choose and play , like:
* conservative
* lagfree
* lionheart
* powersave
* wheatley
- added some IO schedulers to go with the governors :
* sio
* vr
* bfq
* fifo
* fiops
* zen
Have fun finding the best combination for you!
The modules were compiled from their trees, so I have to at least mention them
Build #10
- CM source update
- SIM ICC number reading is fixed now(part of upcoming SEEK support)
- working FM radio reciever support
- working FM radio transmitter support - I guess you can make your own radio station that can transmit waves in a ~1m radius But to be serious - this could help people who want to listen to their music collection in a car that doesn't have bluetooth.
- cleaned up the leftovers from the faulty commits
- use the correct qc-opt library for power HAL to function properly
Build #9
- CM source update, check cmxlog for more info
Merged some bagyusz improvements, like:
- small cleanup in sources
- added dumpstate back for bug reporting
Build #8
- CM source updates, check them out:
http://www.cmxlog.com/11/huashan
- reverted to the source-built RIL, let me know if it fixes the connectivity issues(especially data connections, like LTE, etc., etc.)
- cleanups to the makefiles
- small changes to RIL
- switch to the c2d composition type(previously cpu was doing all the job, now the screen composing is split between CPU and GPU)
Build #7
- GPU drivers updated to newest available ones (yuga .283 firmware ones)
- swapped EGL config with a proper one, now it references adreno instead of adreno200
- add setup_fs service into the init part - if your device was freshly unlocked, it will prepare the filesystem on /data for you
- removed wheatley and lionheart governors, as they were a little bit bugged
- cherrypicked some bagyusz commits(most of them, just without the whole device tree splitting, I'm leaning towards unification where possible with UB trees)
- hijack.tar is now split into two parts - backend.tar and ramdisk.tar(it creates more room for homemade experiments, and makes users more safe - now you need to screw up two files instead of one to make the device unusable)
- minor cleanup in the ramdisk scripts, to make it more like in the official repos
- revert back to official releasetools(updater-script and binary in the final package) to make flashing more seamless and "stable"
And, this is something that you won't expect:
- CM source updates, covered in the good old nightly flavour
Build #6
- merged all the improvements from official trees, like:
* new qcom power HAL
* new libqc-opt.so library
- one change to GPU driver subsystem that's not even committed yet(test the gaming performance and tell me if it's better, for me it fixed choppy menu animations in GTA:SA)
- CM source updates:
* SystemUI crashes fixed
* other improvements, check cmxlog.com for the full CM change list
- probably more stuff that I can't recall, I'm a little bit sick
Anyways, enjoy!
Build #5
- removed FM radio
- CM source update
- lags fixed
- audio imbalance fixed
Build #4
- added FM radio(not working right now)
- fixed reboots when using BT and mirroring
- CM source update
- VPNs fixed
- possibly battery drain fixed
Build #3:
- xLoud - not the real one, but done with editing sound card control files
- touch sensitivity fixed
- CM sources update
Build #2:
- added I/O speedup on early-init
- CM source update
- speed up booting by a large margin
- remove knight rider led animation
- misc cleanups in our device trees(nfcee debug features enabled)
- Add glove mode toggle
Build #1:
- CyanogenMod source updates( many fixes to Telephony, Camera and others)
- Sony RIL(some bugs fixed)
- Fixed echoes in speakerphone calls

Yes, you definitely can, but if I were you, I would choose the CM nightlies instead
Nope I hate this nightly system... Just weekly one fully stable like you do your work mr prefect mr steve ?
Sent from my Xperia SP using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Oh! Nice! The nightlies that come out in the 28-8 build can be installed? I thought that in the LBL ROMs they couldn't be installed.
Thanks
Am I reading the op wrongly? CM11 is 4.4.X kitkat and not 4.3.X jellybean right?

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5 (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Installation:
For switching to F2FS, see POST#3
1. Download ROM zip and GApps zip.
2. Extract boot.img from the zip and flash it via fastboot
3. Boot into recovery.
4. Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache.
5. Flash ROM zip. (it may take some time)
6. Reboot to system and let it settle.
7. Reboot and flash GApps zip. You must flash gapps after every upgrade to CM12 since /system is formatted, wiping your previous add-ons.

You can find weekly CM12 builds for Xperia Sola here

About feedback:
We always welcome any kind of feedback, but if you report a bug, please, do it in a proper way, make a full detailed description about how to reproduce that bug, explain which add-ons you installed, tell us if you wiped cache and dalvik-cache or if you made a clean install, also, is very helpful to attach a logcat reproducing that bug, here you have a great guide about how to report a bug and take a logcat

F.A.Q.
1) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58478000&postcount=88
2) How to increase system memory?
Follow the instructions at this thread to create a swap file http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2359182
I have found the recommended configurations to be quite effective, Only one swap file of the recommended size i.e. about 188MB will fix many things.
3) How to switch between EXT4/F2FS ?
Newer build has F2FS enabled for /data and /cache partition. So you need to format those partition to F2FS first.
i) Make sure to backup everything, cause you'll be formatting your data partition.
ii) Reboot to recovery and goto Wipe => Advanced Wipe. Then wipe system, data, cache, dalvik-cache.
iii) Return to Wipe => Advanced Wipe again. Now select only data partition and click Repair or Change filesystem => Change Filesystem. Now select F2FS from the list and swipe to format data partition to F2FS.
iv) Similarly, format cache partition to F2FS too.
v) Now you're ready to flash the rom. Flash it normally and reboot.
vi) Using steps iii & iv, you can easily go back to EXT4 partition. But wiping is needed.
vii) All these steps are needed ONCE. After you formatted to F2FS, you don't need to do it again.
vii) Remember, to flash rom successfully your /data and /cache partition have to be in F2FS format.
Issues
1) If you don't get root access, change Root Access to Apps and ADB in Developer Options and then back to Apps only

Install Super SU http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053

But I am not able to receive incoming calls. They automatically get rejected.

1. There are a way lot of memory leaks in the rom (greater than 5.0.1 AOSX).
In file manager(not Cyanogen FM), for example, I've to go 'UP' instead of going 'BACK' because going back exits the file manager.
2. They keyboard isn't persistent (maybe because of memory leaks). Cannot even complete a single word until the keyboard goes off.
Also,
Found something strange -
I changed the value of ro.config.low_ram from true to false in build.prop and I experienced much smoothness in UI than when the value was true.
Plus, I got a lockscreen wallpaper because I've enable high-end graphics.

Suddenly I started getting failed Safetynet .. Magisk Core Only or Magisk Hide both enabled but fails ... any clue ... i tried fresh install of Batstock Rom and new kernel version with Magisk, but no use ...
I know it has been a long ongoing issue but just wanted to check if anybody found a working solution on this combo

Which version of magisk and the kernel?
PS magisk broke 36 hours ago and 13.3 fixed it overnight.

time keeping module shows wrong boot epoch time
Hi,
This issue was observed on V1.1.0, but stil exist in V1.2.2.
A sympthom of the problem can be seen in:
dreamlte:/ # cat /proc/stat
btime 1485100236
The kernel functions that suppose to return the boot epoch time (wall time since 1970), e.g. ktime_get_real_seconds, getboottime etc,
returns an erronouse value.
commit e1d7ba8 (time: Always make sure wall_to_monotonic isn't positive), which is included in kernel V4.3-rc1,
observe the same issue and proposed a fix, but still it is not working for the exynos platform.
Does anyone has noticed this, and maybe have an idea for a fix?
Thanks a lot,
Avri
Hey guys and girls
I'm back from holidays and should be able to answer the most questions from now on!
Just in case you want to have quicker support you should be thinking about registering yourself on our website, as there are most of the time other team members online and here on XDA it's just me supporting all of those threads.
BTW, there is already a test version available for AQG5 or higher roms, check it out here!
Have a nice day and see you in the forums

The kernel base of 1.2.2 is AQF7. Means it won't boot on AQG5. I am currently waiting for AQGB kernel source to update the kernel

About the kernel and if it is for gaming, this kernel is mainly very close to stock and not heavily modded. So if you didn't had any issues with stock kernel this one will be good for you as well!
As said waiting for AQGB kernel source code!

That only happens if you are NOT on AQG5, reason: camera libs need to be updated otherwise the camera will constantly loop your device (some seconds after successfully boot process)

If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you, Team Resurrection Remix and me quite some time.
Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.

FAQ
Q: Why I get this error, when registering a new additional fingerprint (mostly after dirty flash a rom) and resolve it?
A:
The main problem is the communication between Samsung's own Trustlet libraries, the fingerprint hardware and AOSPs interfaces for communication with each other and the AOSP GUI for fingerprint recording, lock screen authentication and so on. Fingerprints are stored encrypted in a trust zone and SQL database file. Suppose you have registered 3 fingerprints and a new version dirty flashed. In most cases, fingerprints will not work after booting. You delete your previous fingerprints in the settings, unfortunately they often remain in the sql file. (This will later give the Settings GUI [to register fingerprints] incorrect informations about the number of registred fingerprints). Now register again two fingers with the fingerprint scanner which works without problems. If you try to record a fingerprint again, you will get the above error message.
Solution (root assumed):
delete all fingerprints under Settings > Security & location > Fingerprint
open file editor and change to directory /data/validity
rename /template.db to /template.db.bak or delete file
boot your phone, a new clean template.db file will be created automatically
five new fingerprints can now be registered without errors
Note: If you now want to delete fingerprints again, you should always start in reverse order or error occurs again.
Main rule: If you use fingerprints, always flash clean a new rom.
Q: What are CPU Governors, CPU Hotplug and other kernel variables?
A:
Most up to date guide on CPU governors, I/O schedulers and more!
Q: How to install Magisk?
A:
Download Magisk Stable Beta and Magisk Manager
Boot into Recovery Mode (Hold volume up, Home, and Power button for 1 second after the vibration),
Go to "Install" and select previous downloaded Magisk zip
After you have finished installing Magisk > Wipe Cache/Dalvik > Swipe to Wipe
Reboot system
If no Magisk manager icon exisits, install previous downloaded Magisk Manager APK
Reboot again, Enjoy root

Did you have the magisk manager icon in your app drawer after you flashed magisk? Mine did not, so I downloaded it from the Magisk forum. Root worked after that was installed.
