What is this icon? - Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooti

What's this icon that is a dialer symbol in the upper right. I circled it with red.

It just randomly appeared for me, too. No new calls in my log, the icon vanished after I initiated an outgoing call.
If I had to guess, I say speakerphone icon.
(eta - definitely a 'speakerphone on' icon, but it was odd that it showed so randomly)

Just got it too, it shows even on silent mode...

icbar setup

I'm using the icbar program on my xda and love it. I'm trying to customize it so it shows the phone icon that is displayed on the normal start bar (the one with the signal strength, etc.). I'm able to get it on their with a default icon (blue square). It functions like this, if you click on it (shows connection options, turn off phone), but doesn't display signal strength, etc. What can I change the icon to so it works correctly?

Well, I e-mailed the author of icbar, and he said that currently it can't do this . So, I was wondering if their is another program (that can be ran from icbar) that would show the signal strength, alerts, etc? Or is their a program similar in function to wisbar/icbar that doesn't cover up the system (?) notifications? I like to know when I have a voicemail

SMS in notification bar but no SMS?

Hey,
I have a strange problem, sometimes I get an SMS, it pops up in the notification bar, but when I enter the message app it isn't there?! I am using Go SMS Pro, but the HTC Sense message app is still installed. It mostly happens to the same persons but they're aren't blacklisted or anything..
It's really annoying, first I thought I just randomly hit the delete button when using popup screens, but that is not the case
Btw I am using the VR31 ROM

[Q] How to get back to active call screen?

using adw launcher... When I am on a call and move away from the active call screen, I can't seem tho get back to it. I can get to the dial screen, but not back to the active call screen to mute, change speaker phone etc. on the notification bar there is a glowing green tint to show a call is in progress, but I can't seem to find the right combination too get back to the active call screen.
Figure I am overlooking the obvious...

I think you can just tap the phone icon in status bar.
Right in front of my eyes.... thanks!

I'm not 100% sure what it's for, however I've noticed that it appears everytime I turn 'Notification' off in the drop down drawer, it may just be a notification to tell you that you've turned notifications off..
I have the same problem...how do I re enable notifications?
Ps nevermind I'm being a noob ...duh drop down button lol

Sound options grayed out?

As you can see in the screenshot, my "Ringtone & Notifications" options are grayed out. It doesn't make any sound when I receive texts, and this is a problem.
Other issues: How to remove the two battery indicators in the notifications in the status bar? And what is the little leaf icon in the status bar? And the white chat bubble with the check mark? And the black first aid cross in the white arrow? Also, even though my default messaging app is Messaging, my text message notifications always send me to the AT&T messages app.
I'm thinking it's because you're in the" silent" sound profile. Try it from normal?

Nope, I'm in the "Sound" profile.
No idea then. I was going by the screenshot you posted which clearly shows you're in silent.
Also, leaf is eco mode - power saving. The black cross icon in the left facing tag is telling you that you have more notifications. If you drag down from the top of the screen, you should see all your notifications.

Does your phone make any sound at all?

You're right..the screenshot does show that. I just looked at my phone again, and the silent icon is not there. I pulled up settings, and those options are on longer grayed out. Very, very weird considering that just before taking the screenshot, I held down the power button to see the "Power off, Power off and restart, Turn on Airplane Mode, Silent, Vibrate, and Sound" menu and made sure Sound was selected.
I figured out that the leaf is Eco Mode (not active, as the phone is above 50%), but I still don't know about the first aid, checkmark chat, or double battery.
Well the 'first aid' icon isn't actually first aid. It means that more things are listed than your status bar has space for. Have you downloaded anything strange onto your phone? I've never seen the double battery before, or the checked chat bubble.

TBH, I'm so much of a tinkerer and so new to Android, that I'm sure I've installed at least five strange things. I think my best option at this point is to wait for an AOSP ROM without any of the AT&T bloat to come out, backup my apps with Titanium Backup, and flash the debloated ROM. It'll be easier for me to pick through what is installed and narrow down these issues.
It was Llama! Doh..hadn't looked at that in over a week. I guess I had set it to be silent whenever I'm at work. That explains why I'd always raise the volume only to find that it's back on silent again!
