No Root No Ads Equalizer Fully Featured! - G 2014 Themes and Apps

I have been using Audio FX for years. It is free in PlayStore, has no Ads, and has the following features:
1. Bass boost
2. Virtualizer to increase the apparent space between left and right channels
3. Reverb (echo) to simulate anything from a small room to a large concert theatre
4. About 10? presets for common things like Pop, Classical, HipHop
5. Three presets you can define for yourself (somewhere I read to try to simulate a peak at 8 KHz, and another peak between 125 and 250Hz.
6. Five adjustable frequency sliders
No root required...

Does it have mono downmix?

[APP][FREE][NEW FEATURE] Music Sampler

Hi, I made this app, I'm pretty new to this, so don't hate.
Tap the Keys to play the keys or tap the Sampler to make beats!
Use headphones or a sound system for the best quality. Works best on Windows Phones with Equalizer in the audio settings section.
If you enjoy my work please support me by buying the PRO version which has many more features available.
In the Sampler mode, use the Mini Player to play local songs from your library and tap the buttons to make your own beats over them.
In the Keys mode, you can select a beat and play the keys over it, or also, you can play a song from your library.
Tap play to play a beat, tap stop to stop the beat. Easy! It's not recommended to play more beats at once because you may encounter different BPM and distortion.
Tap HIDE to hide the whole beats panel to get more free screen space and improve performance on low end phones then tap SHOW to bring them back.
Use the free screen space to navigate between the octaves and beats. Effects of the sliders: Volume, Pan and Pitch. Record your work using the 1, 2, 3, 4 recording slots.
The record follows the next example: Tapping 1 changes to R, and now you know that all your work is being recorded. Make a beat, and tap R again at the right moment to create a nice, looped beat. R changes to S, and now your recording is playing. Tapping S, stops your recorded beat and frees up the channel. Tapping STOP PLAYING, stops and frees all the channels.
The REVERB is off by default as the button says. Tapping it, brings a small echo to all sounds.
By tapping EDIT you can edit each sound's VOLUME, PITCH and PAN, and then SAVE it.
Use the PLAYER to play local songs from your playlist.
Tapping KEYS, brings you the KEYS, to play and record them too.
You can navigate easier between the sound packs by tapping BACK and NEXT.
NOTE THAT THE RECORDING FUNCTION IS STILL IN WORK. USE ONLY SLOT 1.
As far as I know, my app doesn't perform well on the Microsoft Lumia 535 because of the existing touch issues.
FEATURES:
- Recording/Looping function (still working on it)
- Keys mode in the Sampler mode
- Mini Player to play local songs with Shuffle and Repeat options
- 4 Sound Packs in the Sampler mode: Acoustic, Experimental, Dubstep and Big One (more soon)
- Option to edit each sound's Volume, Pitch and Pan with live preview while editing
- Option to permanently save the sound edits - Reverb effect trigger in the Sampler mode
- 3 Skins on the Sampler mode: Colored, Black and White (more soon)
- 2 Types of Sound Packs in the Keys mode: Guitar and Piano (more soon)
- 10 Beats (Dubstep and Drum & Bass) in the Keys mode with various editing options (more soon)
- No ads in the PRO version.
- No crashes
- New Sound Packs Coming
- Multi-Touch Support (up to 5 sounds played at once smoothly)
- The sounds play as fast as they can on touch
- High quality sounds
- Smooth navigation
- Works on every resolution
(You might need to lower the phone volume if you encounter distortion when playing through the phone's loud speaker, but you can always rise up the sound system volume)
The Player, the Recording/Looping function, the Keys in the Sampler mode are locked functions in the free version.
I hope you enjoy it.
Any feedback is appreciated. Please rate it, it helps me.
good luck!
Thanks, working on the recording feature.
New App Update! Check it out!
Big Update!
UI Update!
Hi
This is your first app? Great done!
Did you all the icons yourself? The design and the background technique?
I did not understand the reverb on/off buttons. Nothing happends after I've clicked there. I can not listen more or less reverb. And the piano moves left and right if I don't really tap exactly. But its an very good first app.
Regards

Thank you, and yes, this is my first app ever.
The entire design is made by me, except the 4 icons on the main page (rate, about, mail, music) the main page background and the keys background.
Also the sound samples, are mixed and edited by me at maximum quality. I'm working alone on this app but, not too many seem to appreciate that.
If you click the "Reverb On" button the background will change, so you know you are there, and all the sounds gain an echo. Maybe you can't hear that from the phone's speaker (like some subbass samples ex: middle blue button in the first pack) and that's why I recommend using headphones or a sound system, for a nice audio experience when playing.
I am working on the piano thing and I also need help from a dev that knows C++ and worked with WASAPI or Core Audio before, because I need help with a recording function.
Update, no more crashes!
New update bringing the option to edit each sound's Volume, Pitch and Pan in the Sampler mode.
 very nice

Many things happened since my last post, the most important being the Recording/Looping function, big UI change, new features including Keys in the Sampler modes, Skins and more.

[MOD] Nexus 5 mixer_paths Tweaks

I have been researching and playing around with mixer_paths.xml file in an effort to increase the volume of my phone as well as the gain of the mic.
I would like to share what I have found and open it up to the community.
Location
Code:
/system/etc/mixer_paths.xml
Purpose
The mixer_paths file acts as a audio routing map of sorts. It controls the routing of audio to the various registers on the DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter). It assigns the registers as well as digital volume levels, digital gain, and analog gain.
Additional Info/References
The Nexus 5 is equipped with the WCD9320 DAC.
Codec source code
Sound Control (faux/flar2)
I am keeping my work and notes here on Github.
Comparing Flar2's implementation of Sound Control (which is based on Faux's Sound Control) it appears that we can accomplish the same volume and gain modifications using mixer_paths.
Does anyone have the datasheet for the WCD9320 DAC?

Audio tips for the Xperia X Compact

My previous setup for music was to cast Spotify to my Chromecast Audio, through a tube amp to my DT990 250 ohm headphones (really good cans for $129). Although this was nice, I always felt restrained to my chair for quality audio enjoyment. That all changed with the Xperia X Compact.
I'm really impressed with this small device. The audio output is by far the best I've come across. The 24-Bit DAC, 192kHz is pretty standard nowadays but the software is what makes all the difference. I wanted that Walkman vibe and I definitely got that with this device.
Setting > Sound > Audio setting
DSEE HX:
Digital Sound Enhancement Engine - software that analyzes sound sources and expands high frequencies to near High Resolution Audio quality.
ClearAudio+
Fine-tunes sound for an immersive, emotionally enriching experience.
Audio setting + headphone pairing:
For high impendance/open-back headphones, 60 ohms and above:
enable 'DSEE HX', that's it. This works across most apps, including Spotify. Low end headphones will not notice a difference.
For low impendence/close-back headphones, 32 ohms and below:
Setting > Sound > Audio setting > Sound effects > Headphone settings > Surround sound (VPT) > Studio
Enbable 'S-Force Front Surround'
For in-ear/ear-buds headphones:
I found the best setting is to leave everything disabled
For mono tracks (The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, 60's music etc.):
Setting > Sound > Audio setting > Sound effects > Headphone settings > Surround sound (VPT) > Club
Enable 'Dynamic normalizer' & 'S-Force Front Surround'

Viper4Android : how to increase Master Gate (Limiter) Beyond 6db?

Viper4Android : how to increase Master Gate (Limiter) Beyond 6db?
I need more Volume out of my headset/ 3.5mm jack for external speakers. Viper4Android helps with the Master Gate (Limiter) at 6db, but it could still use some more. I wish I could go into scratchy db levels & dial back to find a good medium.
Thanks

S21 mic volume level automatically changing

I use my S21 to record electric guitar sound clips (videos) to share on a forum where we build our own guitar effects. The problem is that the mic volume level changes randomly. I don't know if there's a way to disable the mic controls, I tried to no avail. You can change the dB minimum level for example, but it didn't help. It's very annoying. I imagine it's some kind of background noise filter or something they use to filter the mic. I love this phone, but maybe the smarts do more harm than good with some applications.
Try an app like rec forge, they have an option in settings to disable automatic gain control (agc).
Cool. I downloaded it and disabled the auto gain control. I'm on a 3 week vacation right now so I won't be able to test it with my electric guitar till I get back. I'll post back here when I test it. Thanks!!!
