CM12 on Nook Tablet
I downloaded your build and recovery last night. It installed without issues. I then installed PA Gapps Micro 5.0.1 (1/31 build). The system partition is at 91% with the micro Gapps. The only issue I have encountered so far is Titanium backup cannot get root access. I'll figure that one out so I can restore some of my apps.
Thanks and great work!

Nook Tablet with Lollipop, but no root
Hello,
I have nook tablet 16GB and rooted and installed Liquid Smooth 4.4.4 and CM10. It worked fine, but only problem was, it was saving file and everything to external sdcard. Internal memory wasn't gettign used.
Today, I installed CM12 and updated the system to Lollipop from the following forum.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nook-tablet/development/cm-12-l-lollipo-nook-tablet-acclaim-t3019125
It initially gave errors on Launcher3, I cleared the cache and cleared data and forced closed. in few minutes the launcher started worked fine.
Now, I went to Titanium backup to try restoring and to my surprize there is no 'Root' access. Did this ROM has no root access?
Please help.

confirmation of Developer Options setting bug on official nightly
I did send a bug report... For me, developer options were working properly on unofficial.
Thanks to everyone for CM-12 on tablet.

USB host
Did this ROM support USB host for OTG, or any ROM support it???

Feb. 9th nightly
I have the latest recovery installed with the Feb 9th nightly. I can now reboot to recovery from the power-off menu. Yea!
I did have initial problems with the Feb. 9 nightly, I seem to have wiped out my gapps when I initially installed it (which I had to do manually). Clearing the cache and reflashing the Feb. 9th update and gapps fixed everything.

CM12 Rocks
I installed CM12 last night. I have the occasional hang->reboot, and there are some sluggish times but on the whole it's pretty sweet. I'm using my chromecast with netflix from the nook. For some reason CM11 with netflix wouldn't let me chromecast... not sure why but oh well.
My question is: when I hit the "settings" menu and tap the "buttons" option it causes the settings menu to crash with an "Unfortunately settings has stopped". Is this expected? I thought maybe it was because I originally tried a dirty-flash so I tried a factory-reset and wipe cache and then installed but the crash still occurs.
Thanks,
-Greg

too slow to respond
My NT is very very slow after install lastest CM12 (via OTA update) and about 10 apps, It spend 5-10s to open an app. Eventhough, turn off the screen also spend 2 seconds.

I can confirm that happens for me on the Feb. 9th build also. I did submit the bug report.

Just updated to Feb 11 nightly using cmupdater. Updated with no problem EXCEPT AOSP keyboard keeps quitting and lost gapps again. (pa_gapps-modular-micro-5.0.1-RC3-20150201-signed.zip) Reinstalled gapps. Note that "buttons" in setting still causes setting to close. I can't seem to view the recovery log through recovery (I see a few words of sup small tiny tiny type) and am not sure where it lives on the system. Does anyone have any ideas about why this is happening (loss of gapps) ? Could someone let me know where to find the recovery log?
thnx

According to this post in the dev thread, you can enable root in Settings/Developer Options. Attempting to open Developer Options causes Settings to crash here, currently.
You could flash SuperSU in the meantime

Found the recovery log--
Obviously the backup of gapp apps that is done during recovery failed--
e.g.
grep: /tmp/gapps.prop: No such file or directory
mkdir: can't create directory '/sdcard/tmp-gapps//': Permission denied
cp: can't create '/sdcard/tmp-gapps//system/app/GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter/GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk': No such file or directory
mkdir: can't create directory '/sdcard/tmp-gapps//': Permission denied
cp: can't create '/sdcard/tmp-gapps//system/app/GoogleContactsSyncAdapter/GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk': No such file or directory
mkdir: can't create directory '/sdcard/tmp-gapps//': Permission denied
cp: can't create '/sdcard/tmp-gapps//system/app/GoogleHome/GoogleHome.apk': No such file or directory
mkdir: can't create directory '/sdcard/tmp-gapps//': Permission denied
etc.
Could this be an issue with the recovery mg itself? I can install gapps with flashify with no problem.
---------- Post added at 03:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:09 PM ----------
I just noticed in the recovery log where gapps was not recovered:
persist.sys.root_access=0
Shouldn't it be persist.sys.root_access=3?

How I can install ADB driver for Nook Tablet?

I reflashed TWRP 2.8.4.0 and then used cm updater to update to Feb. 12th official nightly. Updated automatically and didn't lose gapps.
For me, the closing of setting on trying to use developer settings was fixed 2 or 3 roms ago. I don't have titanium backup installed so don't know whether that will work now.
"buttons" still causes settings to close.

At the bottom of that post you will find a zip with the drivers. Using the posters suggestion I have found it much easier to use a wireless app (WIFI ADB in my case) then installing the windows drivers on my Windows 10 tech preview..
Hope this helps.

What's the issue with needing a new recovery? I flashed successfully using CWM 6.0.4.8 and the full sized GApps, and found virtually no errors, and barely any sluggishness.

When I flashed with the OP's latest recommended recovery (I think 6.0.5.1) I lost gapps twice. Didn't happen before that. Earlier than feb. 9th nightly, I could not get into recovery from shutdown menu and CMupdater couldn't get into recovery. (I updated manually). Now with twrp 2.8.4.0. everything is working "automatically" for me.
I find tablet to be pretty responsive, too. Hitting "buttons" in setting still closes settings (not something I use, but was just testing)

[Q] Need help

I have a TMO Galaxy Tab 10.1 and was able to root it last night with only minor issues which with the help of users here and other topics I was able to resolve the no root issue and this morning I flashed the CM10 nightly and had it working pretty well. But in my infinite wisdom I decided to mess with the voice calling and downloaded the modem and voice calling zip from here for CM10 4.1.2 (or 4.1.1) and followed the directions to install those via CWM. My first attempt my tab stayed at the Cyanogenmod logo and never moved passed it (I gave it 30mins). So I shutdown and booted back into recovery and wiped data/factory, wiped cache & dalvik and reflashed the working CM10.
Now my current issue is first (didn't create backup, why I chose not to is beyond me....) and second my tab boots but I get FC on setup wizard and google apps....I can press ok until pigs fly but it never moves passed that.
So what can I do to bring my tab back to a working condition??
**EDIT (additional info) ** When I'm in CWM and install zip from sdcard originally I had to browse to /sdcard/0/<folder my zip was in>, after my screw up I now have to navigate to /sdcard/0/0/<folder my zip is in>......

I managed to fix my tablet. I ended up going into CWM and formatting my /data & /sdcard. I then downloaded the stock ROM for my tablet from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1877049 and used ODIN to install it. After another wipe/factory reset I was back to a working stock tablet.
Then I reinstalled CWM and CM 10.1 nightly with the gapps and viola back in action.....all this hassle so I can play Dark Meadows. Also my /sdcard/0/0 deal got fixed as well....only have one additional cosmetic issue (with the CM 10.1 I have the stupid voicemail notice icon on the status bar and can't get it to go away).

Which CWM version do you have ?
Be sure to flash 6.0.2.7 to support CM 10.1 (and use gapps from 1212)
I thought dark meadows is tegra 3 only, and as far as my experience last, they tell me that a Gtab 10.1 is tegra 2?

Init.d is not working. None of the scripts in this folder does not work.
Can you fix it, please?
GApps question
This is working really well so far, but I'm having a ton of trouble getting a Google apps package to actually work with this ROM. Any suggestions? The one originally suggested in the OP does weird things to the ROM.
NEVERMIND. Fixed by flashing using CWM instead of TWRP. For some reason that fixed things immediately.
Ya its working great but couldnt find the right gapp package
I tried to flash this rom. Something went wrong and my fone doesn't start now. How to revert back to my old rom.
I was using G3 Kitkat PORT rom. I downloaded the cm12 rom from the first post. I installed TWRP using Rashr app. I rebooted into TWRP recovery installed this rom. I got some error like "can not read seLinux context " and Flash failed. Now the system doesn't reboot at all.
I have nandroid backup taken using Phils recovery. How can I revert back to it? Please advise.

Multiple issues with this ROM
Hi all!
Firstly, for those experiencing issues flashing gapps, you need to have a version of TWRP that is SELinux compatible. I used 2.8.3.0.
As for the issues I've encountered:
Phone will fail to wake from sleep but will have capacitive buttons lit (I'll wait until this happens again to try to get some meaningful log data)
MMS DOES NOT WORK and in general BREAKS SMS. I'm using Messenger as my sms app, and the JB radio. I have also tried this with Textra and Messaging with similar results.
The camera will cause the system to hard reset. I've noticed this in Snapchat, but not in google's Camera app.
Panaroma and Photo Sphere do not work. No imagery from the camera makes it to the screen. There is only a black rectangle where the imagery should be.
Casting the screen DOES NOT WORK. No chromecasts can be found, though the chromecast app and other enabled apps find and use them just fine.
You must continually remove apps from the recent apps list or else the system will...bog...down........severely.
issue
I have random system lag, it seem to use a lot of ram. I check with clean master, they show the used ram sometime reach 85%, that is strange because I dont open too man things, I only use whatsapp to send mess. I have to reboot to fix this. Switch to Candy5, mako base, and have no issue like this again.

Found bugs/defects:
1. There is no way to take a screenshot. Volume down + Power not working, must not add screenshot button on power menu, or on long tap to home button.
2. Quick setting panel setup contains bug: if you want configure tile, you need to tap left of tile. Also, quick settings contains very few settings.
Also, most features of CM missing. Probably because of this ROM is so stable?
Screenshot capturing works for me just fine.. But i can confirmm quick titles bug.

I have installed the latest "cm-12-20150217-UNOFFICIAL-pollux_windy."
As much as I love the Android L rom, I might need to go back to cm-11 roms. This is because the latest "Folder mount 2.7.1" is not working well with Android L in Tablet Z WIfi.
Also, the inbuilt "move to sd" under settings/apps is not working well yet.
I hope developers of "Folder mount" can fix their application to run on Android L soon.
Going back to cm-11 when qsnc has cooked such a nice cm-12 ROM for Tablet Z WIFI is really a hard decision to make.
Does anyone know why in cm-12 , changing application datas to external microsd is not working? Or is it just me?
Under /settings>apps> Move to external sd ------> error message : not enough storage space ?? (My microsd is 16gb class10 and has more than 10gb free space.)
Also, has anyone tried using "foldermount 2.7.1?" It is not possible to pair from internal emulated storage link to external microsd. Any way to solve this issue?
Thanks
Foldermount works fine on March 1st release
cantenna
Thanks for the good news. I have actually went back to cm-11. I've also tried to notify the developer of 'folder mount' by leaving a feedback in Google play apps store. But it looks like "qsnc" did a great job with cm-12 for our lovely polux windy (Xperia Tablet Z sgp311 wifi).
It's time for me to flash cm-12 again.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to get folder mount to work properly in latest cm-12 march.
Folder mount can move files from internal sdcard to external sdcard1 (microsd) but when I click to mount the icon doesn't turn green which means it fails to mount and bind the paired folders.
I have some luck with directory bind application but still not working as well as I hope. As long as I don't umount sdcard1, the binding can be maintained. Unfortunately, the binding can be lost randomly.
I really prefer to have application's data go to my microsd because if I happen to erase all files in my internal data partitions, the data's in my microsd will still be safe and can easily be restored. In the worst scenario , if the tablet for some reasons cannot turn on, my datas on microsd will still be safe and I can insert the microsd into PC for backup or into insert into a new android device to continue work.
Cm-12 is really nice but because folder mount is not working well yet, I have to make a hard decision as to whether to use cm-11 for now. I miss archos 70 days when it was possible to swap the micro SD with the internal emulated sdcard. No need for any applications.
There is a script
by tanjung269 for xperia v to swap the microsd and the internal emulated sdcard1.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2466590
Maybe someone can modify the script for xperia tablet z?

Thanks for introducing me to xposed modules.
I've never used xposed before and I am really new to the world of xposed framework.
I did some reading. Tried the latest xposed for lollipop but unfortunately didn't work with cm-12.
I decided to go back to cm-11 and install xposed framework with the "xinternalsd" module.
I must say i am very surprised indeed. it worked beautifully. My micro SD became the data partition where apps store their data's. Wow! This, to me is a better solution than foldermount although folder mount is still a very good application. Before this, I was kind of intimidated by this new thing called "xposed framework." Sure, I heard about it all over the forum and even on apps like greenify but I thought it was too advance in android hacking for me to figure out how to use it. Thank God, the developer has made it so easy to install.
Thanks Rootk1t once again for getting me interested in xposed. I hope that the developer will make xposed usable for lollipop soon. But for now, I think I can live with cm-11 and xposed!
Foldermount and Xposed works perfectly fine on this ROM CM12 March 1st release, I have in my tablet an ext 128g SanDisk card. I don't know why you are having problems but try what I did, after you install ROM (march 1st release) install SuperSu binary via recovery search it via google and XDA, then make sure you you flash this zip by danaff37 via recovery found
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/official-xposed-lollipop-t3030118/page324
** PAGE 324, be sure you flash "On another device try this"**
its loosely found by browsing the q&a thread for Xposed, but its an awesome tweak that sets the kernel to permissive early on pre boot instead of post boot, this zip is also key to making Xposed alpha fully functional on lollipop. I suspect foldermount may not be working for you because selinux is not set to permissive but is more likely due to not having SuperSU installed. You may also have to format internal storage as a last resort if all else fails but probably not. I did format internal storage because I wanted to take advantage of f2fs, but anyways I have foldermount working perfectly on both my GS4 and my Pollux windy both devices f2fs, lollipop, both devices have sandisk micro SD 128g, 100+ games
Oh, most important of all, you need to install twrp via fota, instructions are in the main thread how and on twrp website on how to do this via terminal. You need to do this to flash zips via recovery
cantenna,
Thanks for the sharing.
I tried to download March 1 cm_12 from cyanogen download website but unfortunately, the rom is no longer available.
I didn't know that I had to install SuperSu because I usually enable cyanogen built-in SU in the developer settings.
Although, cm-11 with xposed framework with xinternalsd module works ok for me, out of curiousity, I wanted to see if folder mount worked in the march 1 cm-12 rom. The last 2 cm-12 rom that i used was the March 8 and a later version Foldermount didn't work in those nightlies. Of course, the other thing is, I didn't install SuperSU because I relied on the built in su that is usually provided by cyanogen roms.
I also tried to install xposed in another device, the xperia V using the latest cm-12. Unfortunately, even after using the patch for the link you provided to make selinux permissive, xposed failed to flash using cwm recovery loader or TWRP loader. It is reported that the current xposed for lollipop will work only in Android 5.0 and not in Android 5.02. i wonder if the March 1st cm-12 rom is Android 5.0. If I could download that march 1st cm12 rom, I might just give Xposed a try. Then again, I am not sure if the xinternalsd module will work in lollipop or not.
The xinternalsd xposed module is good enough for me at the moment although I did notice that some apps still managed to send their datas to the device emulated SDCARD instead of my microsd. I don't know why.
For this reason, I am still interested if there is some way to tweak the vold.fstab file to get a proper swap between the device emulated sdcard and the external microsd.
I just checked the march 1st version of the ROM is indeed 5.02. Let me know of you want me to send you a copy of the ROM, its still in my downloads folder, send me a pm.

Working great on my 16GB. What are the odds this could come to the 8GB editions?
Actually am now using zram and zcache with lz4 compression so it would make 512mb machines a little faster. My zram is set to 256mb though and you must tweak it to your device capabilities. I don't have a 8gb nook so test and report.

8GBbuild?
Will this build come for the 8GB versions? because on my 16 it is amazing. Demetris, this really is faster than the day I bought it!

21/07 version is up
Again this should be flashable on 8gb devices too just lower zram values(set to 128mb) as i have set it up for 1gb ram(256mb)
And report back
Thanks and sorry for the double post. It didn't show up originally. trying this tonight -- is the zram setting in trickster? I see only on and off. Zram settings had a few more tweaks but nothing available in MB ... am I missing something?
(Sorry just returned to update my nooks after a long absence heh, last time I messed with these was CM10)

It flashed and runs (albeit slowly for now) with pico gapps. I haven't found the zram setting(s) yet but I'm looking (silly Comcast internet died last night!)...I'll be on vacation for the next 9 days so itll be awhile.
SD Card not showing
I have flashed your latest build and flashed the TK gapps pico. Upon reboot, everything looked to install correctly. However, I started to experience a lot of error messages in relation to downloading app updates. I went back into Recovery to try and re-flash the image and clear the cache/dvalik cache, but right away I noticed my SD Card is no longer appearing. Also, I can only flash the dvalik cache now and i got errors when I did that. The device is rebooting right now and I will update you if anything has changed. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance

App Update Error Message
Here is the error message that is appearing for almost every update:
Error
Update for "Gmail" could not be downloaded due to an error. (Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-7:AEC-7 4Q6K-SLU2-5RTOU])
I was able to get the device to reboot and now I can see the SD card. I am going to start this whole thing over and see if another flash of the rom and gapps clears things up. I will keep you posted.
UPDATE - I was able to successfully re-flash both the ROM and gapps, but I am still receiving the error messages when trying to update Apps:
Error
Update for "TouchPal-Cute Emoji Keyboard" could not be downloaded due to an error. (Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-7:AEC-7 XVAP-RNKS-QCBYQ])
I really appreciate any assistance you can provide

I can't get Wi-fi to turn on an 12.1 by demitr.
Is this a known issue? I used the nightly from the 30th or so.
Thank you so much! This 8GB is flying now! After a few hiccups, I am finally off and moving. Unfortunately, it's all great, but pretty damn good!
> Cannot get TricksterMod settings to remain after a reboot
> Random freezing requiring a reboot
> zRam has been enabled, but not option to change to 128mb
> WiFi is disabling as soon as the device goes to sleep(it is set to keep it on)
Once again, great work!
Thanks a lot Demetris, it works like a charm on Nook tablet 8GB .
There are only a few small issues which I am not sure how to fix. I tried installing a gapps versions but I couldn't get them to install correctly. The mass storage device is not working but I think that is a bug in general with CM 12.1 . It shows me that my internal storage is 1.94 is there a way to increase that ?
You have to merge the partitions, look at the guides
After flashing this rom, my NT lost root, and I can't root it back
anyone had this problem?
Still can't keep my tablet rooted with this L build
Went back to stock, rooted, flashed recovery+cyanoboot, and then installed this rom and root is lost
I tried with the LiquidSmooth build (Kitkat), and root is fine on it.
Next I'll check with a 'clean' CM12 Acclaim
Any help or advise is welcome =)
Edit: fixed, by flashing latest update-supersu after custom rom
Hello - just installed - nice rom - noticed the battery drains during sleep due to WiFi_on but its set to never on during sleep & seems to honor this, when its waked, as it will turn on WiFi indicator and connects to net but battery tab shows WiFi always on during sleep - is this a ROM thing left over from CM11 as it too had WiFi sleeping issue? - I came from CM11_M14 snapshot and it had similar prob. Also cannot transfer files across USB cable - it never loads NT as mass storage and no notification options are given. Also clock widget doesn't seem to display weather?? Many thanks for this - very nice on LP this device!

Re-rooting?

I have a Note 2 (obviously), and I have rooted my phone the first day I got it and have never updated the phone since I purchased it. So, I am still on 4.1.2. My phone has been super laggy and I want to take the oppurtunity the when I reset my phone that I can take advatages of the new features that mobile phones have by upgrading all the way to 5.1.x.
So, I downloaded CM 12.1 by wilson3q with 5.1 system. I first tried the 5.0 version since the 5.1 looked too new, and did not have time to deal with the bugs. When I flashed the 5.0 version, I got errors of not being able to flash gapps for 5.0 and that I lost my root. I tried downloading the new TWRP to see if I can get a newer version that would work better, but no luck. I got an error saying that I lost my root privileges and did I want TWRP to fix it. I slid yes to fix, but no luck.
The same problem occurred when I tried with 5.1.
So, I ended up restoring my nandroid backup and I am back on 4.1.2 again with root working again.
I am thinking that I am probably supposed to 'step up' the updates, but not sure. Does anyone have a solution or a link to the solution that they can help with?
PS: I did not like the camera that came with the new mod. I do like the stock one. Are there flashes of cameras that I can use as well when I do end up upgrading?
Thank you in advance!!!

Try Phiz recovery, I've never had trouble with "[I605][CWM Advanced Edition] PhilZ Touch". If I recall we had to start using that one when kit-kat was released (i reserve the right to recall poorly)
I have a link to download mirror here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60899023&postcount=146
from your new recovery, you should be able to install CM12.1 and 5.1 gaaps recommended in the Wilson3Q i605 thread. from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-2-verizon/development/rom-unofficial-build-i605-t3069506
FWIW, I am on the 20150803 build and still using the GApps Minimal Edition 2015-04-04 for Android 5.1 (91 MB) from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/gapps-google-apps-minimal-edition-t2943330
with no issues to report.
You may also need to track down updated radios (to flash from CWM). I think you can find a link to the updated ND7 Modem/Baseband here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2765021
somewhere in middle of first post
Good Luck!
PS you may want to flash superSU from recovery... get the zip from chainfire's xda thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
(I've been dirty flashing for so long I dont' remember if the rom came with SuperSU or superuser... as such I can't recall if I had to flash this zip or not, but I probably did if I had issues with root)
Note you may also need to enable root from the settings menu after enabling developer mode.
there should be a "root access" option (or somehting like that there)
PPS are you also remembering to wipe data & clear cache/dalvik?
I have found zoot's mega wipe useful...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1983489
it is for the N7100/N7105, butI have used it on the i605 quite a bit. Initial test result reported here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44093932&postcount=117
that said zoot's script is probably overkill

I assume that you are giving steps in order, BUT I feel that I should flash the radio to 4.4.2 first, in which the link was broken. I have spent a couple hours trying to find another link, but I am afraid that I may be using an incorrect one. Do you have a good link for that, please?
Also, I have ready the newest Samsung 3.10 Odin downloaded and installed, as well as the USB driver installed and downloaded the ADB fastboot. If I remember correctly, I am supposed to move this onto C: and run it to access the device (Note 2). It has been since Android first came out since I have used the ADB though. So, I apologize for the ignorance. So, do I just make sure the adb is in the same directory and run Odin or did I not need ADB and just run Odin?
I also assume that I run the Philz touch after I have gotten to 4.4.2 rooted first. Am I correct by assuming that?

Yes, I have done a cache/dalvik wipe a few times (because I have tried reflashing to get it to work with no luck).
I have downloaded the .zip version of superSU as well, and gapps minimal 5.1 with wilson3q's 5.1 ROM. So, I am almost ready to go with the exception of the correct radio upgrade file.
Thank you so much for your help!!! Much appreciated!
PS Will my old WifiTether apk files still work with 5.1 or do I need to get a new one?
Thanks Again!

(Good read)
Just flash philz from twrp. Reboot recovery wipe/reset... then flash new ROM gaaps... Wipe/reset... Then reboot.
I can post the radio zip to my site later tonight. I believe you can flash that last, or later (from philz cwm, after getting on cm12.1)
Same as superSU. Check out ROM first. It comes with root that can be enabled in developer options. you can always reboot to recovery later and flash the zip.
PS. WiFi tether built into ROM "hotspot" (no VZW subscription required)
Pps try this for the nd7 radios

Sorry to bother you, but I still am getting errors with Failed root access for Titanium Backup Pro. I also cannot find Developer Options in the settings menu.
I have tried flashing the radio before and after wiping and installing the ROM then gapps then superSU. I get into superSU and it asks me for root access and I grant it, but Titanium Backup Pro still says that it has no root access.
Any ideas? Thank YOU!!

with SuperSU installed, you may need to just need to update binaries. open SuperSU and it should prompt you if necessary. the "normal" option should work (no need to flash from recovery)
for TiBu...
--within SuperSU settings you may need to disable (uncheck) "mount name separation".
--You may also have to enable unknown sources (under settings, security).
-- there might be something to enable for USB debugging as well (TIBU should prompt for it)
FWIW, you can restore user apps/data... but I would not attempt to restore any system data. Personally, I have found it best to get to know a fresh ROM for a while before trying to restore crap from an older ROM . there might be value in re-configuring apps manually and/or restoring them one at a time (after making sure the ROM is working properly) i.e. you won't need any of those aforementioned WiFi tether apps since it is built into the ROM now.
Instructions on enabling developer options in CM ROM, from here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Doc:_developer_options
1- In the Settings app, select About Phone (or About Tablet).
2- Scroll down, and tap the Build number entry seven times. On the seventh tap, you will be notified that "You are now a developer."
3- Return back to the main Settings menu. Developer options and Performance entries should now be visible.

(that is likely how to enable superuser that is "baked" into the rom, given you already installed SuperSU it may only complicate matters)
You may be rooted and just having TiBu issues. If all else fails you can check with an app. A long time ago, I've used "Simple Root Checker" by SimoneDev to check root/busybox. It is still in the play store.
Good Luck!

Thank you! It ended up being my version of Titanium Backup. I downloaded a new version and it is good. As far as restoring is concerned, I do not even want the apps themselves restored from there, because there may be a new version and would like a fresh install of those apps. I just want my data restored. For example, I have a surveillance software that I would just like to restore the entries (IP's usernames and passwords). I would like my email settings to be there, so that I do not have to re setup my 7 email addresses. My Text/SMS messages and my alarms. So, I am not trying to do a full restore.
On another note, I am trying to get my calendars back into my phone with no luck. I cannot install google calendar and get my google calendars to populate into my task widget, and the ROM is not letting me set up my POP email addresses. Also, I see no ringtones, so I have no ringers to ring my phone nor tones for my alarm clock. I flashed gapps for 5.1 and I see nothing extra from the ROM. I thought gapps was google apps. Am I trying to do stuff differently than you? There seems to be a few problems in that manner that I am trying to work with.
I am thinking of downgrading to 5.0. Maybe the 5.1 is too new?
Again, THANK YOU for your help!

I wouldn't downgrade, nobody is actively working on 5.0.2 anymore.... that thread is basically dead. Also, it is likely less "stable"/mature than what you have installed now (that is currently being maintained). i.e. you have the ROM that I would stick with.
like I said I wouldn't restore any thing into system (apps or data)... you can do whatever you please. (but it could be causing you more issues than just biting the bullet & configuring manually) i.e. restoring accounts might result in unanticipated issues, you came from a much older version of android.
all I had to do was install google calendar from play store and then the CM12 calendar stuff all worked (I might have had to restart and/or install the google calendar prior to setting up primary gmail). you might need to remove all your accounts and load them again (a factory reset might be faster though.)
also you might have to update google services and the play store before certain things "play nice".
I know you don't want to hear this but...
from here on out i'll likely point to all your issues being based on restoring system data. (based on my limited knowledge and personal experience). FWIW, I'd try to reconfigure/setup everything manually and you will likely have much better results.

I figured that, and feared that and the same time. So, what am I flashing onto the phone with gapps then? Also, one of the reasons I was wanting to go back was because there are a few apps that are not 'compatible' with this system. Meanwhile, I am going to wipe and reset again, and do what you suggested and just reconfigure.
Thanks again!

GAaps are the google apps... good read:
http://wiki.rootzwiki.com/Google_Apps
(hopefully I am not out of line for posting a link to that wiki)
many ROMS like CM don't' include gaaps due to licencing/legal issues. which is why the AOSP roms devs often have you flash the GAAPS package separately (also you can pick your package for your fact pattern... full gaaps/minimal gaaps/etc.).
Also the gaaps zip files you flash from recovery install the files into system. a lot of folks like the minimal editions of GAaps because it doesn't force all the apps into system. instead it just gets you up and running with the play store and a few essentials... that lets the user install all the other google apps as user apps, from the play store.
basically taking the "debloat" mentality as far as you can... keep stuff out of system and let the user decide what to install.
