Hi, I have a Samsung Gear S, but my phone is galaxy core (jellybean 4.1.2) so i couldn't install apps from gear manager cuz i can't install it.
So, could you guys post a .wgt files of a remaining free apps that is already on gear store? so i could install it manually
any help would be appreciated! thank you very much!

Here are a few .wgt's I downloaded from the gear store and sideloaded to my gear s due to the fact I do not use a samsung phone.
Some of them will work, some will not.

These are the only free apps I have downloaded. Some work only for the gear 2. I haven't found a way to get around "signature invalid". If you know of a specific app that you would like, let me know and I will try to get the .wgt
I got around the signature issue. I've just registered with Samsung to be a developer and sign the app myself. I'll send the ones I signed when I get home and you can test them. Not sure if it'll work but worth a try

My gear S would be awesome if I could only get milk music to be loaded on device. Sadly it's limited to USA market... Got the apk working on my phone alright but don't have it for watch.

hey, i had a related question and i know you talented people can help me!!!! i have the gear s and i got a sony xperia z ultra. i know its possible to pair them but how can i receive sms notifications and how can i download new watchfaces!!! p.s. i have a new upcoming youtube channel (GT Classics) which is about gaming and tech reviews and need to download watch faces. a shoutout will be given to the sit and those who help!! thanks!!

I side loaded the watch faces just like any other app for the gear s. Watch styler will not work. As for receiving sms, I downloaded "notifications for gear S" and had to select google hangouts for my sms handler on the phone. You must select Hangouts in the notifications for gear S app.

I did not understand what you trying to tell. Kindly can you explain.
He basically saying that SVoice is really just for show, to let you get a taster of voice commands and the is another app called 'Jeannie' which is a similar kind of thing.

It has been taken off the ostore. Omate is going to release there own companion mode in the next update. It is expected in the next month. Apparently there have fixed the BT

All the stuff around the Omate is very vague. No idea if there is an official forum or web site, no idea where we get the update etc. Anyone have more info or is everyone in the same boat?

i got the companion working. Dont know exactly where, but you can find the companion for the TS on Google+. The developer is Kurt Huwig.
Must install Truesmart Master app from playstore.
Its working fantastic with my Zopo ZP980 dual sim phone. For both numbers, incoming calls are displayed on the TS and i can accept or cancel the call.
Even SMS is working fine, for both numbers.
Fantastic app, so I have now my standalone TS with the SIM and 3G, and also my companion TS, paired with my smartphone. Very happy about that.....:good::good::good:

I haven't been able to get the Google Play apk so I can't install the Omate side of the app. Is there a CURRENT direct link for the apk? (although I know he's updating this continually).

I believe its the same apk its not a special apk at least i didnt install any special one on the device its the same apk i installed from google play.

I suggest to have a look at "SWapps Link", developed by Cyril Preiss. There is also a thread here parallel...
Cyril made a very fine, well working companion app which allows you to get both call and sms notifications. You can also forward calls tp the watch, it controls your phone s musicplayer and its great.
Once you have installed playstore, the SWapp app is avaible there for free.

I looked inside of it and it is still the same firmware as before. So only the Manager App might have changed.

Correct, firmware stays the same and the GFM upgrades just fine. I haven't noticed any changes yet.

I've copied apk file to internal storage and installed it using es file manager. Everything fine.

It is already compatible with the S4 if you got root.
I can see Sammy roll back to version 1.55 from 1.70. Even not to 1.67, that was on Samsung Apps...

yes, and my gear fit manager keep trying to downgrade many times...
I think i will soon switch to an android wear watch, samsung is finish for me, they do nothing for their products, no major update, poor s health, big **** for fitness with gear, NO SMART ALARM ??!!!!!!???? .... Sony have big ideas, but not good hardware (smartband and smartwatch), samsung is only a follower, good hardware, but no ideas..
I totally agree, the Gear Fit has an impressive hardware, but does not have a smart alarm bracelet is disappointing. Where there has been an alarm clock without.
I hope that they get an update which comes included, do not think it's too much to ask a simple alarm that does not depend on our mobile device.
It to me is the only thing I miss him a bracelet.

Hello,
Is there a way to share some gear s applications here, on the forum, without going through the whole process of submitting to samsung apps?
When I started to test on gear s I had to request a certificate with my gear uid and that means somebody else can't install the application on his watch.

And will this work 100%? I kinda doubt that the Gear S application will be signed and able to install on the watch if it is posted on Google Play and not in Samsung Store.

You need to unlock it like i did in my tizenmod ROM. In the next days i can take a look at it if u want but i need a tester since i havent the device

I just received my Gear S. I was planning to install Opera Mini first thing, only to find it's not in the store. I searched all over Google and XDA, but I'm not finding a definitive answer here. Has it been removed? Because that would seriously suck.
It's not a regional issue. I'm in the U.S. and I'm using a GS6 with it.
I am in USA on ATT and just checked for you in the Gear App Store, and it is there. Searched for Opera and it showed right up. Sorry, don't know why you cannot find it.

I know this might sound like a dumb question but you're accessing the Gear app store correct? This is located in Gear Manager application on your phone or bottom of gear app menu. Just want to make sure your not searching the Galaxy App store. Is there an update for your gear software? There is a link in one of these threads for the opera mini wgt file which is what your looking for. I think the thread is called wgt files or something.

Yes I have downloaded prior. I had both Gear 1 and Gear 2. Sorry you are having issues. Loading files manually is not really that much of a pain compared to benefits of having program. Let your Geek flag fly brother!
