Been using on and off last two weeks. It's really nice. Very feature rich for being early. Love the lock screen shortcuts. Other than issues noted which I should be able to fix soon it's awesome.

Developer access approved for Android file host will update mirrors soon.

Cool. I like this ROM.
But can't find the navigation bar in settings..
Also there was no supersu? So no root to start.
And all 4 CPU cores are pinned on 1600 at all times for me..

Gotta enable root in dev options. No need for Super su. Weird about all cores under load. Mine is fine so far.

Thanks. Yea I'll add the keyboard issue to the OP. I can set the scheduler in the performance settings in the rom itself. Does it work for other Lollipop roms?

Aroma Gapps work, FM works too, all in all it works just great!
Just don't forget to install Superuser and change "Root access" in the developer options else you won't be able to give apps root access

yes, install is always same, wipe data&cache and install zip. every rom zip formats system, so you dont need wipe system too. i also not recommend wipe system.

Some more things that people might wonder/or not..
- GPS does not work (any workarounds?)
- Photosphere: the one posted on the slimroms homepage doesn't work, however this one on xda works http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2116851
- WIFI seems to be dropping quite often in quite irregular intervals. Haven't had that with other custom roms yet.
Tried it and went back to "CARBON-JB-UNOFFICIAL-20131009-1902-serranoltexx.zip" in less than an hour. I simply did not find a reason to chose slim over carbon. Carbon rom is just so perfect :good::good: Setting layout in carbon is hands down 10x more intuitive. Moreover I noticed that battery drained much faster in heavy use with slim rom in comparison to carbon.

Sure man . I meant no harm. I even donated additional amount to arco68 to show my gratitude for supporting S4 mini LTE. I was not even addressing issues that do not work. Carbon just feels more intuitive and easy to me, and this introduces no over the top features that I need, but its just me .

Surely you must have encountered some issues at this stage of Android L for OPO.

To get double tap to wake to work:
1) download this or the attachment (extract it)
2) using your favorite root browser copy it to /etc/init.d
3) change permissions to rwxr-xr-x
4) change file name --> delete the .bin extension
5) reboot
Saw a note this would be coming the other day, great to have yet another solid rom arriving on this device! Thanks so much!!
Downloading now
giving this another go hopefully i get the double tap to wake going this time.
I don't mean to jump with the thread being so new. Does this rom have standard asop bluetooth and volume issues?

Cool! I've ran OSE before and loved it!
big question: I'm at work and can't download and flash now, however, has anyone tried the BlueTooth calling to see if it works?
That seems to be the biggest hangup with AOSP at the moment, as well as intermittant laser focusing for the camera. Otherwise, can't wait to try it!
:cyclops:
One of my Favs!
Thanks for bringing this to our device. I ran this more than any other ROM on my G2 and was hoping it would come to the G3. Anyone who is not downloading this due to the purple screenshots don't let that put you off as you don't have to use the purple and of course you have theme manager as well. This is one of the most feature rich ROMS there is. Definitely a must try for anyone who hasn't run it before.

that and an upgrade to the camera and i'm all over AOSP. I just got too damn used to getting great photos with stock LG camera. Any ideas on a better 3rd party camera for AOSP? I've tried Zoom FX and Google camera, but just seem to lack something

Don't quote me on this but I thought I've seen someone say that the LG xCam works on aosp ROMS. I would give that a try

I keep hearing that too, but even the OP states that it doesn't work for AOSP as it requires drivers that are not present.
oh-ba-wel-ba, i'll just keep trying other cameras if I want to use AOSP. Thanks anyway!
:cyclops:
@oadam11 big thanks buddy for making this for us...love me some OSE.
Also for other users asking about Gapps, though any kk Gapps can be used, I would recommend using Slim Gapps (the rom uses Slim as a base), and trds will function as it should. And STOP asking if bluetooth calling works (in any thread, not just this one)!! It's broken on all aosp builds. When one rom gets a fix, then let the OP know so that the fix can be implemented. Believe me, you'll know when its fixed - every aosp thread has this question plastered in it about 200 times, there will be no shortage of notifications on this issue.

How about the Cyanogen camera? I can't try it on a stock based rom but OSE is AOSP based so it might work well.

Was running vanir without a hitch and decided what the hay, I'll try it. All I can say is great job, think I'll stick with this for a while. One question tho, does this run on ART?

Stupid question but here it goes lol where do I find the slim gapps
Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
Couldn't get kk 4.4.x gapps to flash (said failed to flash) so I started up anyway and it still worked fine...its an incredible ROM with infinite options and good speed to boot. My only real problem was not connecting to my WiFi at home....said problem authenticating even though I used wps push button and before that I tried the password. Other than that excellent job...this is my favorite as of now.

Great work brother.
Love the boot ani. I did not have a set up screen....went straight to home screen. Unable to get any play services working.

I think it would be best if you get permission from the dev supporting those gapps before we do anything like that?
I'm talking about creating another link for his gapps where people don't have to go to his thread to get it.

I deleted it, because OP fixes bugs on the gapps, so im not even going to bother.
we can do that, his specific gapps for our devices is his AFH https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934538470 , I think he updates them every 3 days, he deletes the gapps from his AFH and uploads new gapps every 3 days or so.

Fair enough bud! I am compiling a new Candy5 build now with the file explorer you linked me in my candy thread. I'll find out if it works or not but Not tonight. I'm off for a couple hours of shut eye so HAG1 until then. All of my newer builds will be compiled with the GCC 4.8 toolchain so them gapps may no longer work but they probably will? We shall see.

I hope the file explorer works, but if it doesnt work, it really doesnt matter. Cant wait for new Candy5 build, its really smooth, only problem im having is the keyboard disappearing randomly even if I turned on the hw overlays. Why wont we need the gapps ?, are the gapps build in with the build with GCC4.8 toolchain ?

Ohh lol, Ill download the gapps from basketbuild and see if it works.
Running fine with pico gapps and xposed for lp!
Edit: Keyboard and audiofx work correctly out of box in this lp. Great build. Usual echo on speaker phone as with almost any custom ROM.
Edit2: Also, gyroscope does not function properly, but I have read this is known with pac rom and slim.

FAQ
How often will this be updated?
- Probably once a week unless there is a large update before hand.
Problem: Bluetooth playing media, say from Google Maps, causes the phone to erratically reboot.
- Workaround: Disable 'Media' in bluetooth menu. Leave 'Phone' enabled. You can still use the bluetooth for phone calls.
(Thanks to @Buddlespit for working this out)
What are the reported issues?
- 7/23/15: camera disconnects
- 7/22/15: playing videos in Youtube and Facebook

Its been downloaded 23 times, how are you trying to download?
If using chrome on your phone you can try requesting desktop version, though dev-host and chrome seem to have a weird relationship.
Try using firefox on your phone or use your PC to download the zip and transfer it to your phone.
Well this looks like a sweet fully loaded ROM.

The PAC-MAN devs always create a quality ROM and they make it easy to build; obviously because I'm able to do it. hehehe :highfive:
I was using the built in browser on the galaxy s5. Tried both download & download now. Download takes you to some ad sight. The download now gives you the giG3 file. Will download Firefox & try again.
Thank you for the work! One thing that's held me back from flashing a LP ROM is the lack of tiles the LP ROMs have compared to KK. I haven't flashed your ROM yet but I plan on as soon as it finishes. I miss the compass tile and the cam and music tile. Is this something that can be added if not there?

I haven't done edits before though I've been reading about it quite a bit, I haven't taken that dive as of yet.
That being said, Xposed + Gravity Box allows modifying the tiles as well.
Always backup before trying anything like that of course :highfive:

Well this has been downloaded nearly 50 times and no posts (knocks on wood) so far.
To me that seems like most things are working well.

LOL you're right, the ubiquitous GPS question.
Nobody has posted that its not. It works great on my Note 3.
I always recommend to get a lock with Touchwiz just before flashing an AOSP rom. Then once flashed get a lock with WiFi on after that set the GPS to device only and get a lock again and I've rarely encountered an issue with these steps. I normally set GPS to battery saving until I need navigation.
To get a lock I simply open Maps and wait for my blue circle.
I hope this helps. Good luck!!

So I was running this ROM a few days ago and I made sure that I had GPS lock right before I flashed and the first time I used Maps, it did locate me and it worked great. I used it a second time and it was constantly looking for a GPS signal. It wouldn't connect and it would drop data. I thought it may have been because I could have possibly be in a bad reception area but I have excellent reception at home and I tried it then and the same symptoms. It wouldn't find a GPS signal. I had to go back to a touchwiz ROM because I need to use Maps often and it wasn't working for me. I had use the first version of the ROM and that's when all this happened. When I updated, I tried it over and again same thing so I moved over to another rom. I love PacRom, just this GPS thing isn't fun when you have no idea where you're at and you're trying to get home. Haha.

Oh yeah, that isn't a good experience. As its beta features can sometimes become unstable.
I'm leaving on a road trip tomorrow morning, if/when it happens to me I can grab a logcat for the pac-man devs and submit it to them.

Good ROM, no real issues. Only problem is it seems a tiny bit slower than regular cm12.1 with some animations. Its not really glitchy/laggy, it just takes another half second to go home or recents. Anyone else?
Supersu won't update for me
