[4.4.4][Audio Mod][YKG] Beast v1.6 Dolby Digital Plus, all Sony audio settings & more

I presenting you my first audio mod called:
Beast
Quality, Power and True Bass
My audio mod is a mix of best Sony brand devices audio systems.
This is my fifth version of this mod, but I never posted any older version (except fourth version for Z2), because they had a lot of bugs
known bugs:
-after any reboot equaliser and sound effects going to reset.
Fix for this: Go to system/vendor/etc and delete effect_init_params and reboot.
- DSEEXX not working when Dolby Digital Plus is Enabled. Working fine when Dolby Digital Plus is disabled.

Yes, but I steel testing this. I post new version with Dolby in this month.
This mod is the best Sound Mod for the Xperia Z3 !!! and it will better if include DSP Manager from niaboc79 & a bit louder volume ^^
Best not to include DSP, just causes crashes sometimes.

How is it compared to stock sound
Can you upload to some different server than mediafire? It is slow and often breaks connection before finnishing. Never seen shi*ier download server... Many thanks.

So what's the benifet of the mod? Compared to stock sound

Edit: made a complete system restore and installed new (the restore.zip from the other sound mod didn't work properly for me, so this mod had problems with my system) . Now it works like a charme! Thanks to you. (
Dont overwrite any other Sound mod over this, this mod does work.

DSP manager is not compatible with my mod, you must install my mod on stock rom and screenshot isn't fake.

I prefers a clean installation, but you can try install, but always do a backup.

This mod overwrites and writes new files to your system folders so i believe so yes.

Before testing...
The pack changes the boot animation. It´s an HTC´s
Rebooted twice and pack has no apps.
About the sound, it´s a lot better! I´ve listened a song (Walkman ICS App) and I think this mod is a good mate for clear bass

Actually I'm not a developer
Is it necessary? Lol
I'm gonna add musicfx.apk in my next version..it will load fx files at boot ............
so there is no need for audio_effects.conf
Now I'm working on notification-beats .

It should modify the sound of music so it just a little bit nicer.
It doesn't go in conflict with xloud?? with this mod can we have a better quality of sound compared to only xloud engine??

Sound Enhancement, Equalizer & Audio Fx also don't work, but, if that's also not a big deal, i notice a huge improvement in sound. I love it!!! Thanks mate! :victory::highfive:

flashed and tried several times but it ended up with stuck boot logo

This Port is based off of the universal aroma installer on xda by team acid. In order to get it to work on our devices certain files had to be replaced in the installer or sound would stop working, also the script to add items to build.prop would not work/add the items

Awesome Selkie. Glad to see this finally posted here. Now everyone else can get this great sound on AOSP ROMs that I've been enjoying for the past few weeks.
I tested the 4A version of this mod with the walkman option on mazda's AOKP 3.4 and it seems to work fine so I posted in that thread that this mod is available for that ROM.

Here's how I'm doing it:
1. Flash ROM
2. Flash Kernel
3. Boot ROM
4. install Titanium Backup
5. Uninstall any audio mod (on AOKP removed Music FX, Awesome Beats, and Apollo.
6. Reboot to recovery and flash AC!D 5 v4A zip
7. Boot to ROM and Rock with my $*%( Out!
You can uninstall the apps, but I'm sure the libs and other files are still there. If you flash Awesome Beats v3 again it should work?

Clean install recommended if any audio mods were previously installed because most of them, including this one, do not have an uninstall option.
I have found that the AC!D mod and walkman player can coexist with Awesome beats on the two ROM's I've tested so if that's the only audio mod installed you should be OK.
If the ROM comes by default with other mods such as rockodev beats make sure to do the nandroid before installing these mods.

If you read near the end of the thread you will see that mod has never been tested with AOSP based ROM's, only Sense versions, and there were some issues with the led's on the capacitive buttons not working properly after it was installed.
You can certainly try that version of the walkman player, but make sure to post any problems you experience with it in that thread and I wouldn't recommend mixing that mod with this one.

Hi, before i install your soundmod their is another soundmod i install first, project sonico audiomod...it had such a big file that i tempted to use it....it has the same dolby and maxxaudio file app..both working fine...then i flash your soundmod on top of sonico soundmod...suddenly maxxoudio doesnt work anymore...but the sound is amazing...is your dolby and maxxaudio the same as that and will their be conflict if i keep going on...
Will i have the maximum sound setting as you have...what is ypur recommendation...thanks..

Okay, that is not good, I will fix that so fast I can
I use this setting for my speaker, very good bass and trebble, you see my settings on attachment, for Headphones I use Clearaudio+

That is a new bug, on my device all works perfectly

Yes, I have an another idea:
Disable Both Dolby Apps
Set your go to audio effects and set the equalizer
If you are finished, reactivate Both Dolby Apps
Reboot system

I think its not your mod...maybe its the rom im using....sorry to make a fuss....

I have a better idea, I make a split thread for my mod, that is easier than move it to themes and apps section
I flashed the Sound Enhancement Mod and everything seems to work fine.
At first, I thought that the base is too much until I enabled ClearAudio+
Thank you very much for this Mod and I can now enjoy my Sounds again after Lollipop update.
My question would be, what would be the difference if I install the Add-on? I know this is not required so I am thinking what would be the advantage of doing so?

I tested Clearaudio + with my Sony MDR1 ADAC and the bass is for me not too much:laugh:
My Add-on enables Xloud, DSEE-HX, boosts speaker volume,... my Add On is not recommended but it enchanting the sound a little bit more

Thank you for the quick reply.
I guess it all boils down to music preference in the end but no complains here.
Earphones are sounding better now but I haven't tried on speaker. Currently still at the office.

I installed the add on so how exactly do I access those extra features or is it by default? The only thing I have access to is the Dolby app.

Is enabled by default, you have only access to Dolby
I have a new Setting for Equalizer for Beats Solo HD :
