Lol probably that it would trigger a super secret OTA from Moto upgrading us officially to JB with updated drivers and sources so that we could use that to better all JB and up ROMs

Method:
Direct download for SEUS here: http://emma.extranet.sonyericsson.com/update_service_setup
Download and Install Sony Erricson Update Service.
Open it as an administrator.
Read the 4 instructions and accept the agreement.
Select your phone from the list. Make sure its the correct model.
Follow the next 4 instructions.
Select the factory reset and update option.
After about 10 mins the update will be complete.
You now have gingerbread 2.3.4.62.
Now follow these instructions to update to ICS 4.0.4

You'll never know if u dont try.
If this doesn't fix it, you'll have to take it to sony anyway.
So there is nothing to loose.....
Well I just think he soft bricked his phone!
If the light is peeping, it should be fine!
Also one can know only after flashing through flashtool or using Seus!

If that doesn't work use SEUS and not Flashtool.

But now here comes the problem. I unlocked the bootloader trough the sony's way/website then installed superuser from binary. en then i flashed by accident the wrong kernel, so now only the little red ligt glows up and that's it. im searching for a stock NL rom to fix it... but it also looks like i cant enter fastboot anymore the light turns up bleu but then after a few seconds the ligt goes back to red and the flash tool doenst recognize the phone anymore
so who knows wat to do now ? how to get fastboot/flashtool working again and the NL stock rom
many thanks in advance, because my wife isn't happy atm
i followed this vid for my S and her P
ww w. youtube.com/watch?v=TrP-IBuAeN0
-edit i did found a few kernels but now it wont let me allow the fastboot/flashmode only the red ligt lights up stil

Did the phone booted? If yes, then you have stock kernel. If your bootloader is locked, the use sony program to repair your phone. Ckick on update, it will probably tell you that it already has latest firmware. Click on repair and follow instructions... I dont think kernel override in this case is possible as flashtool flash the whole firmware.
One recomendation, always read the op for instructions and if its for locked or unlocked. But after this, you probably will
EDIT: if you are not sure, try to use flashtool once again. Do do same procedure as before.
ADVICE:if you want to use better kernel and roms, unlock your bootloader. Waiting till warranty end, your wife will not be happy anyway. This opens you a lot of possibilities and most important thing, her phone will fly for a long time. Im using stock rom and sliding kernel, awesome combination.

Thanks For the answer. Yes the phone boots but i see only the sony logo you always see. But not even the xperia logo That follows next.
Also the phone is unlocked with the sony unlock code and rooted with the patch from bin4ry.
But after a long evening trying to get the mod running, and after status 7 error after error i tought maybe its the clockworkmod. And i read the site 3 times but It appears i missed the part "for locked bootloaders only"
So yeah i won't make That mistake Again indeed
But i flashed several times the stock rom back but it stays on the sony logo and sadly that's it

Ok, get this kernel
http://rapidgator.net/file/76795117/kernel.zip.html
its from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2029756
Hit thanks there...
Unzip and use the .54.
Switch phone off (power+volume up until 3 vibs...)
Open flashtool, click on that flash, select fastboot mode.
Now press and keep VOLUME UP and connect to the computer.
In flashtool press "Select Kernel to Flash".
A window will appear, choose the .54 you just downloaded and hit ok.
It takes about 2 seconds to flash the kernel, so no worries. Look into the main flashtool window, you'll see if the action wasd successfull.
Then disconnect and try to start, if nothing, then try to flash the stock firmware again.
Sweet thanks going to try This when in back at home. It looks very similar to wat iv'e done already. But iv'e used kernel B.599 or it was B.559.
So, ill Let you know if it worked

Thank you very much for capturing this one. I've posted this to the Portal
This update is quite interesting actually
http://paste.omnirom.org/view/38942c5a is the updater-script.
The only "main" check here is that you're not downgrading the version of the firmware, via a ro.build.date.utc, and that the device being flashed is a C6806.
Asides from that, it's a regular full install to the device.
The only "patch" file is recovery-from-boot.p, which will only update the recovery if it needs done. This seems to be designed to prevent a downgrade of recovery (you can't downgrade it if the zip always tries a binary patch on it).

Are you serious? Have you tried to press and hold VOL UP when you plug it into the computer? The LED should be blue (Fastboot) and if you press and hold VOL DOWN while you plug it in, it's in Flashmode (no LED). See if Flashtool picks it up. If not, well.. it's dead.
