Z3 CM roms work with Z3V? - Xperia Z3v General

Title says it all. Really want CM on this.

No. They would need to be ported to work with verizon's radios at the minimum. Not to mention there is no way to Install any rom at this time.

Oh, Ok. I see. I agree. I cant find it anywhere on the VZW site. Verizon is just lame. Biggest regret I have now is dropping Sprint for Verizon.
Does this include Radio rom update? If not what radio is compatible?
LOL - They locked the hell out of the upgrade..... But, I knew that for a long time ago...... Still tho, there may be asomething we can actually use from this release.... Is the radio still 3.37.7

Ok, found VZnavigator. Have to download from the VZW start page. Installing now.
I'm giving it a try. It's going back tomorrow anyway due to a speaker volume issue.

Ok you need to activate it by dialing 611. No one is there, closed for the night. Great! Website is down so I cant make changes there. Verizon is just down right squared away! Thats customer service!
do you think this would also update the bootloader? should we relock it with the original one?

[Q] any way to turn verizon S4 into play edition?

(I suspect I know the answer, but thought I would ask anyway)
Any way of flashing the verizon S4 to effectively turn it into a play edition model for use on the verizon network?
Have read a few postings (probably from equally confused users) and thought I would ask... You can stop laughing now...

My bootloader is unlocked. I was able to get it unlocked early on, so I am rooted, custom recovery, custom rom.
I am just not sure if there is a way to "cleanse" it of all the verizon locking madness

Well, you can get "sorta close" by rooting the phone and freezing as much of the bloat and crapware as possible, then installing Google Experience Launcher. It kind of feels more like a Google phone...

So you have an MDK build S4?
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
If you are on MDK you can flash a few of the Google Edition ROMs that are out there. I was running a ported 4.4.2 GE ROM and it was great.
After MDK I don't know what is available for SAfe Strap users for ROMs.

I assumed you were heading in that direction.I figured if I put out the info and the almost safestrap question, someone would chime in on weather you can or cannot safestrap a GE edition ROM, without me actually having to ask since I was wondering.

Yea unfortunately SafeStrap users are always going to be bound to whatever build their stock Touchwiz is as far as Roms go. Well unless bootstrapping ( kexec ) comes their way. So no GPE for them. But I saw the op in another thread and I'm pretty sure he's got mdk so he can do whatever.

Haven't been able to find anything, seems nobody has done the Mega before.
It's the same process as any other Samsung phone, find a s3, s4, or any other Samsung guide. Flashing any phone is pretty much the same process, so have a couple more steps but all the same execution.
And yes tons of ppl have done the mega Lmao, I have flashed around 16...

No OEM unlock option in T-Mobile Samsung S9+?

I have a T-Mobile s9+ and for the life of me, I cannot get the OEM unlock button to show in Dev options. I've had my phone for over the 7 days, as I saw you need. I've even tried doing the "change the date manually and restart" trick and no luck.
Is there no option for the T-Mobile version of this phone and it's already OEM unlocked? Can I just go ahead and root my phone without issue? Or do I need to get that button before I can go ahead and root/install a new rom?
If you have the G965U, no you will not be able to unlock the boot loader.. My oppinon, is when all manufactures were done stealing ideas from dev's live here on XDA.. They decided they did not need them anymore and locked the phones down.

You can root, but it comes with big downsides. Search for Extreme Syndicate S9 root here in XDA and you can read all about it.

You can install GSI, but they have the same downsides that the default oreo root ROM included has, if not more. I'm on 10 too lol. I tested it, played around with it then went back to stock. It was neat.

I mean the good thing about this method is that it doesn't unlock bootloader, so it doesn't trip knox. The bad thing about not unlocking bootloader is that you can't install custom kernels or recoveries.
