Using a google calendar without adding the whole google account - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I have my personal Google Account, but at work we have a shared Google Account, what I need to sync from that work account is Calendar.
I mean I want to add that google account but not as full sync (i.e. Settings > Add Account>Google etc). I just want to add the Google Calendar, using a third party calendar app that lets me sign with google and sync only with Google Calendar. is that possible?

Look for a calendar app that has CalDAV support. Search for CalDAV in the play store.

Have a look at Jorte, this is a quite cool calendar app that comes with integrated gtask support. It syncs with both google data sources.

[Q] Google Account and Gmail??

I am in the process of setting up and exploring my new Note. It appears that a lot of this involves a Google account. I have an old Google account, but it does not use a gmail email.
Will I have to setup a separate account with Gmail to access the extras?

I think you can just use your Google account. It should still give you access to the market.
But to be safe.... I'd make a Gmail account. Great way to manage your contacts, calenders, etc

[Q] Log into Hangouts without adding the account to the full sync

Hi,
I have a personal Google account which I sign into my Nexus 5 with and that all works fine.
I also have a work Google Apps account which I would like to log into Hangouts with but do not want to add it like a normal account (i.e. Settings > Add Account etc).
The reason is that if I sign in to my work account it requires that I download a device policy which then restricts how I use my phone (i.e. does not allow lock widgets, rooting etc).
I have found workarounds for email and calendar where I have third-party apps that let me sign in from a web-based google login page and then grant access.
So I am after, either, a way to log into Hangouts app without adding a base account, or a third party app maybe that would allow me to log in like the email / calendar clients I have.
Any suggestions for this would be appreciated.

Calendar without calendar account?

I'm running custom rom with nano gapps and are having some trouble using calendars. I've tried multiple calender apps but none of them work, they keep saying I have to supply a calendar account. The problem is that I don't want sync my calendar with google, and even if I did want that, I can't seem to add a calendar account. When I select to add a new account, it tells me to login into my google account. I enter my email and it says I can't use that as I'm already logged in...
Is there really no true offline calendar app?

Stock calendar and O365 account

Hi,
Here's my setup:
Mate 20 Pro, Android 10, running stock ROM, trying to use the least Google apps
Issue:
I want to use the stock calendar app and add an O365 calendar. I use FairEmail as my client, which does not add the O365 account as an available account for the stock calendar app. The problem is that in Android 10 accounts are linked to apps. If you want to add a new account through Settings > Accounts, you can't because no app supporting the O365 account is there.
I do not want to install the Outlook app, link my O365account to a Google account or any other weird workaround. I simply want to add an O365 calendar account to the stock app.
If it really is not possible, is there a recommended privacy oriented calendar app that supports natively O365 accounts (not only fetching the ones already present on the system)?
Thank you in advance.
