[Q] Best Nexus 6 Case? - Nexus 6 Accessories

So far what is everyone's opinion on the Nexus 6 cases you have, had, or are currently using?
Do you have brand or style preferences?
Kickstand, wallet, bumper?
Let's hear it all.

Really? The literally DOZENS of posts about cases aren't enough for you? Or you just like to see everything posted over and over, which is against XDA rules?

UAG for me.

The only best case is the one you like. People have different taste and needs so they go for the case that suits them. Do what I do, read thru the accessories section and search on YouTube for reviews. Regardless, you will not be able to tell if you like the case until you have it on your phone.

I have 7 or 8 cases at home for my N6. Mostly Spigen / Ringke. Have an Orly case too, as I recall.
I settled on the Ringke Fusion smoke colored case with a DBrand skin. Best feel, looks great, good protection. Seemed like the best all around case for me, although it is far from being as protective as your traditional otter box massive crash test enclosures. I don't want that kind of bulk, but it protects much better than the ultra slim cases too.

Alternative to Otterbox (lint)

I recently got the Otterbox Commuter case for my SGS2 and like the fit and feel of it but the rubber attracts alot of lint and dust. It collects around the earpiece and front camera and around all the exposed rubber; it's annoying quite frankly.
Does anyone else have a recommendation for an alternative case. I like how the size isn't crazy thick but that it still gives me good protection. I am outside alot and have 2 young boys. I kind of considered the thicker Wrapsol skin as well, anyone used it? Any help would be great.
Try taking a look at the trident aegis, I have one for my Inspire and I don't get as much lint as I do with the otterbox commuter on my s2, though it does it still, I haven't noticed it anyway

+1 for the Aegis. I have one, and it's awesome. Don't really notice lint at all.
Those has otterbox style but cheaper.

hmm those look interesting, have you tried them?
I may have to try out an Aegis, I do like how it doesn't have the part covering the top front of the screen like the Otterbox; I see where they were coming from but I've considered trimming it off. I've been dealing with the lint and such lately, I don't like it but maybe I can convince the wifey to let me try the Trident one out
aside from the lint on the aegis, how does it grip the inside of your pocket when you take it out? is it really grippy like the otterbox is?

Has the one with stand, little bulky but does seem protect the phone well.
I had the Otterbox on my cappy and liked it ok but didn't realy want to spend that much again when I know I will be upgrading every year or so. I did some searching here on XDA when I got the SGS2 and found a link to "Acase" on Amazon. I have no complaints and it was under $10.00 when on sale.

Just finished searching for the Acase on Amazon and I get nothing but iPhone results. Added the SG2 in the search and it returns nothing but battery stuff or some ballistic style case that is just gawd awful.
Would you mind sending or posting a link, I have been looking for a light case for my Sg2 but cannot find anything that I like that will keep it close to its original thinness - dont want to bulk it up by adding a thick case
Thanks in advance

Is this the link to that case? It looks like it doesn't have the right cut out for the Noise Canceling mic.
It doesn't, but you can't tell
If he can tell there is no cut out just by looking at some pics, I'm sure staring at your phone w/ this case on it will be very much noticeable.

+1 for the Aegis, I have been using for about 10 days, love it! It does collect some lint in my pocket, and since I am a landscaper, some grass too! Not a big deal to just rinse it off and let air dry and put back on. The reason I went with the Aegis, is because it has a screen over the speaker phone, unlike the otter box, I did just order the otter box to compare, Ill let you know, but now I am looking at the Acase. The screen protector that comes with the Aegis is pretty weak though, not sure what to do about that, I hate the orange peel, Invisashield.
-nevermind the Acase, doesn't cover port and plugs a must have for me!
You are right no covers for phone jack or usb and the mic hole is off a bit but I just made a new hole with a drill bit. works great

I really like the case, its about the same thickness of my platinum series or "seido" case. It's very lightweight with the phone in the case. I like the design a lot and it fits nice in my hand. It doesn't really feel like rubber but more like plastic, although it IS in fact rubber. The leather and stitching is on point, it gives it a nice look and feel. The side treads? Gives the user a good grip. Ive seen a lot of reviews saying it is hard to put the case on, but for me it wasn't even close to.being difficult. For $5 its a steal. High quality case seems like it'll be able to go through many drops without any problems. One more thing it hugs the phone very snug so you can rest assure that the phone won't pop out and it will stay protected. Here's pictures:
The buttons on the sides arent bad btw. The case does not affect my screen protector (rise along the edges or corner). Heres the inside of the case:

Ringke G3 Cases for 4$ via Amazon?

Just came across a deal online on some slim cases from Ringke for the G3, was wondering if anyone has tried these and if they are any good? I just ordered the White and Clear one. Apparently if you use the code QNUNAWFA at checkout, its half off, so 9.99 becomes 4.99 and if you've got prime then its pretty solid in my opinion. Don't know how long the deal with last...If anyone has tried out these cases, how are they?

I have this case and I really like it. I only want a case to prevent scuffing and scratching and this one feels good in my hands and is really thin. I wonder why the antennae cut out bothers so many people, I don't even notice it since you can't see it looking straight at the phone.

Ringke Slim has been my go-to case for the last few years - it's really hard to beat how slim it is for the protection you get. i just ordered one of the black ones from Amazon - with Prime shipping was free. hard to beat that case for that price, even though it has the cut-out for the overseas antenna. i was holding out for the Slim case for the US version, but decided i could splurge $5.
right now i am using a Spigen Slim Armor case (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JQI2G5O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). it's actually a pretty nice case. it's not quite as slim as Ringke, but still pretty slim and feels like it adds a little more protection.
fwiw....
Awesome, thanks:good:. Also so everyone is aware, the code works on the Rngke Max as well. This appears to be similar to SGP Slim Armour. Picked up both Slim and Max for $14.95 shipped!

i wrote a review when i used to have the Ringke slim case for my S5. beats the hell out of spigen slim cases. i am assuming the same for the G3. Just copped with the code. Thanks a lot! :good:

Never knew they made one for iPhone too but its not surprising as Apple products usually have wide range of accessories .
Too bad when I bought this model a couple of months back there were hardly any cases or covers for this phone but now looking at this one it seems to have improved a lot
have you bought it, how is the fit?
Fitting is perfect..

Question Any soft silicone cases?

I'm looking for a soft silicone case available in Europe but can't find any. I ordered a kwmobile silicone case but I doubt it's even silicone and very cheap feeling. I wanted to try the Pela case but they don't ship to Greece sadly. I'm looking something like the apple silicone case in feel and quality.

They just feel really soft and well made that's all. Of course they're also overpriced since they have an apple on the back. Is the Google one soft? I thought it had more like a tpu feel to it.

No it's not like TPU as far as the texture. It's kinda rigid like TPU, but its texture feels soft.
Yes my friend. Have you looked at the Ghostek line? I've been using this one & love it. It doesn't block my Pixel Stand's(1G) wireless charging, it's not glossy but matte finished, and it's crazy inexpensive (or at least on Amazon).

I just got my Pixel 6 a couple days ago and need to buy one soon too.
Along with case you should think about purchasing a screen protector. I had purchased one for my Galaxy phone and it has lasted for over a year and not one scratch. I dropped it plenty of times and no problems. Also make sure case is one of those shock absorbers.
Honestly I paid for a cheap case and it worked great.
These are just recommendations obviously. I (you) would hate to break these delicate phones haha.
Hope you have a great day!

Yes my friend. Have you looked at the Ghostek line? I've been using this one & love it. It doesn't block my Pixel Stand's(1G) wireless charging, it's not glossy but matte finished, and it's crazy inexpensive (or at least on Amazon).
(I'll find a pic of mine & throw it up for you).

I was eyeing the ghostek case but not really sure about the hand feel of it. It doesn't seem like a soft one.
I ordered the Google case from Amazon uk. It had a 10 pound offer on it so I thought why not

That's a nice one too, didn't get a deal on it as that never happens to us here with the G-whiz crew! Lol
However, if you glance at Amazon every once in a blue moon like I do, and see one of their PRIME MEMBERS ONLY deals for this one, you might wanna snag one cuz I promise I liked a little better than my Pixel6 ordered case and put him on STANDING BY for a minute! It's as soft, maybe a lil' softer, but the corners and display protection is what got me. The raised edges when flipped on it's face is remarkably Improved vs. my Pixel case, and the corners on my Ghostek remind me almost of the Tech 21 line, if you're familiar? I remember calling them "Shock and Awe" first time I saw the corner buildups! Lol
True story, I'm a Tech 21 fan and was looking for one for my P6 and didn't connect, so I took a chance on my Ghostek and it paid-off because now it's a "WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER!" (yw, Ghostek)

Did any of you find any silicone cases in this post? Because I'm checking it regularly but nothing more than the usual ones. I'm looking for a specific type of case and the other thread is for cases that the users have.

You can get back phone skins from Gadgetshieldz or Dbrand so your phone's body doesn't get damaged from cases! I'm using skin and I never get any scratches or dents.

I was most after a soft to touch case. I never had scratches from cases. Today I received my Google case and I can say that is pretty good, especially for less than 25€ that I paid after the discount.

Nice and I bought this skin customized for around $10 from Gadgetshieldz and a tough armor case from Spigen! It is worth it...
