Storage madness: 36 GB out of 9 GB used? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Hudl 2 tablet, rooted and running stock Android 4.4. The storage graph is bugged/wrong. Despite having only 9 GB of internal storage of which 4 GB are free, it says 36 GB are used by app installations. Those of you who were paying attention on the first day of school will know that this isn't possible. Unmounting the microSD card fixes the issue and mounting again brings it back.

[Q] [HELP] OS Occupied Size is too big!!!

Recently I have successfully installed Custom ROM for my Lenovo S820.
Everything is going smooth and well, before I found this:

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
My OS Occupied Size is very high, about 6.28 GB (see attached picture).
ROM size (zip) actually only 600 MB.
That's awful since my Internal Storage is only 8 GB.
Once more, my Internal Storage is not read by computer nor Phone Explorer.
What is going on with my phone?
Somebody help me please.
Thank you so much.

Question RAM expansion issue?

I just reduced the virtual ram from 5gb to 3gb, on the ram expansion feature, I restarted the thing as ussual, then when I check on the ram It didn't change, so I checked on the Ram expansion feature and now suddenly Is deactivated, apparently 12.7 GB are not enough to use the feature.

Is it supposed to be like that? I remember having like 7 GB when I activated it for 3gb days ago.
Whats the minimun space required then?
