[ROM][5.0.2] Stock AOSP - Nexus 6 Android Development

I have been searching for a stock ROM, I mean like bare AOSP stock, but everyone puts their own junk on an (IMHO) already perfect OS.
So I said "Fine! I'll build my own ROM... with blackjack... and hookers...."
Built straight from Google's official AOSP repo, stock Android, and I mean stock. No BS, no fancy bootlogos, no custom kernels, just Android.
Issues:
Nothing I found. Let me know!
(Netflix and YouTube both work)
So just wipe system, data, dalvik and cache. Then flash the ROM and GApps.
Downloads:
5.0.2 (2-23-2015)
GApps:
I recommend the PICO version of the PA GApps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
If you want to build your own ROM from AOSP scrosler made a great guide.

so.. aosp or stock? they are two completely different roms. aosp is the android open source project, and stock is how the n6 comes when you buy it. they are not the same.

I believe this had been released already by @scrosler.

I read some stuff this morning about OmniROM.
Nice to see this philosophy in Note II section! Thanks.
Awesome, can't wait to flash.
Is this based on CM or completely independent fork built from AOSP? If second, not many features are probably done yet right?

They are actually (ex) CM developers. With the recent changes in the CyanogenMod team, some devleopers decided to follow a different path and started OmniRom project.
Of course the project is based on Cyanogenmod which they contributed to for years, but in time, differences will be more obvious.
The good thing is, @pulser_g2 is with them, a guy is dedicated to Note 2

[Q] Rooted phone. Any custom roms for this phone to flash?

So i successfully rooted my phone using odin and cwm recovery. i am on stock rom 4.1.2.
Can anyone please refer to a rom anyone used on this phone and it worked without many bugs.
i searched for cm11 but it still has many bugs on this phone so i ignored it. Please refer to me roms that have a newer version on android only. I dont want customised stock roms. just omniroms or maybe cm10.2. Thanks everyone!

Interesting. Nice find, I didn't know this one. I will test to see if it's really KitKat :good:
Edit: it is a beautiful ROM, but it isn't KitKat. It's the same Android JB we all have in our devices. I'm considering to keep it installed.

well its nice, much lighter than the original stock rom. Plus its better and much sleeker than the touchwiz. Although its not a major upgrade like cyanogenmod. But yeah, worth more than the stock rom. One of the cleanest rom for grand quattro :good:

Yes, I tested. Let me write a little review.
I would say Bionic Monkey (the name of the rom) is a stock-based rom, with some interesting mods. By default the rom changes the DPI, so more things fit on screen. Some apps are KitKat-themed, like contacts or dialer. The stock launcher was replaced by Google Experience Launcher. It's also pre-rooted and has support to multiwindow. I didn't test multiwindow, but I think it's nice on that rom because of DPI.
The major disadvantage is that the rom is not KitKat, despite the system info. You can test it by installing any app only for KitKat - it will refuse to install.
So, in general, it's a good rom for daily use, so you might give it a try.

There's no KK for us, at least for now. All the roms that claim to be any Android higher than 4.1.2 are actually themed roms with mods on build.prop, but in fact they are Android 4.1.2.
The exception is CM (the one in link provided by you), that is KK in fact. But is still unstable and not suited for daily use.

[Q] Vanilla Android Lollipop for LG G3

Is there any vanilla android lollipop ROMS for Sprint LG G3? I am running CM12 Unofficial right now and each new update it gets further and further away from vanilla.
CM12 2/3 build is as close to vanilla as you'll get without sacrificing features. I am between barRin and cm12 atm. Still waiting for the official release to come.

How do I explain this without sounding stupid.
1. On a fresh install I liked the Google phone setup than the CM12 phone setup where it gave me options to restore from a particular time. It would then go on to restore my settings and apps as they were on the previous ROM. As the more current builds seem to have removed that feature. I am not really worried about other features of CM12. Is barRin a derivative of CM12 or is it something else?

No its not as much slimed down like Purex or Google -Style and far away from the ~300mb of AOSP - like Roms.
But hey, if you install it as your first rom, it will go on systems partition anyway, so why bother? There are lots of people that say it's smooth and battery saving (although some complain about 4.9 being not so battery -friendly as the version before).
I am curious about which marshmallow-roms will show up, and till then I just stay with GoogleStyle as my primary.
Even spent some Bucks on AOKP, cause they made my old HTC wildfire run android 4.04 with tons of features and a power -saving mode I haven't seen on any z2-rom (autoswitch to 2g at screen off) so far....

Kind of crappy of me, I could have swore that I posted my experience with this, but I guess I went brain-dead
Build runs great. The fact that cm added all the typical features I use as stock work out great for minimal builds.
I know you guys are willing to take feature requests, and good on you guys for it, but if I could suggest to not loose sight of what it is as it stands.
There are many cm base Roms that have 80 features baked in, but there are still, not many granted but there are some around that prefer minimal Roms.
This ran better for me then any other cm base ROM on the n6 I flashed, and I think a good portion of that was due to the fact that it's vanilla. Massive amounts of features seem to bog Roms down for me, maybe it's placebo as I have no source, but that's how it shows via my useage.
