tempered glass protector (not verizon's) - Xperia Z3v General

from amazon, cheap too. gonna give a try. its not thick like verizon's.

I posted this under the cases thread already before you should make another topic about this.

you should split it ? make a new thread? i don't like cases.

Also looking for glass screen covers, BUT...
I want ones that have no cut-outs in them; one for the front and one for the back.
It confuses me as to why these are manufactured with cut-outs where the front facing camera is. That's certainly an important area of the screen to protect.

Sooooo...
Still looking for screen protectors like this.
(Guess now I have to find the cases thread...)

I think you can buy tempered glass from Verizon online for much cheaper than what it used to be for better fitting.

I'm from india.. how can i get a case?

I dunno how you can get a case in India. How would I? But this thread is about screen protectors.

Ebay screen protectors, any suggestions?

Hi all:
Does anyone have any suggestions for good screen protectors for the Tilt2 off of Ebay?
I know there are a number of name brand ones which are good, but I have an Ebay gift certificate, so I'd like to buy from there if possible. I can't seem to find any of the good name brand ones on ebay, so I was hoping someone may have tried one of the ones that are available on there.
Suggestions would really be appreciated.
Thanks!
PS: I am currently using the one that came with the phone, and I was happy with its quality, but it has gotten quite scratched up, quickly, so I need to replace it.

Extremely easy to apply, barely any bubbles/air pockets to be seen. My screen looks like it doesn't even have one on.
Or you could try this link. I ordered mine, but I didn't received them yet so I don't have pictures to upload, but they look sharp
http://cgi.ebay.com/2-MIRROR-Screen...UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL?hash=item19b63cfef6
I've always ordered screen protectors from Clarivue. The one I put on my Palm TX 4 years ago is still on it. They're durable.
As to ebay, the seller I've always used for clarivues is JHongs. They currently don't have protectors for the Tilt 2 listed, but the last time I asked them to list one they didn't have up, they happily did so.
Just message them, give them the link to the Tilt 2 clarivue (linked above), tell them you're ready to buy, you heard they would list it for you, and I'll betcha in 48 hrs your new screen protector will be on the way.
I bought ebay item #250541670275. It only cost $2.98, it shipped from California, and I had it within a week. They fit the tilt 2 VERY nicely, and I can't tell there's anything on the screen. Buy it!
Thanks so much to everyone who replied!
I will definitely be ordering one of the ones suggested in this thread.
Thanks again!!

I wouldn't call it bad, but in terms of durability it's lacking compared to clarivue or boxwave or some other name brands.
im To late
but your best bet would have been zagg. most of those cheap plasic one's only hold up for about 3 month or so. zagg hold up until u decide to take it off.
www.zaggs.com that the main site and there should be some on ebay also. i kno that you have a gift card.

Don't get this if you have a Tilt2. Just thought i'd give you a heads-up (it'sthe T-Mobile version).
If you still haven't purchased any scrren protector, you must have a look at this, although it's not on ebay it's very cheap and offers full body protection.

If it's not cheap enough use 20% discount cupone PPCSG20
I have excellent experience ordering from Amazon and HIGHLY recommending this seller - Eforcity. (I've ordered 3 protectors for my CDMA and got 8 in the package - someone was pissed to my bennefit )

They say "scratch proof", but 3 of mine scratched.
Also, those "invisible shield" ones leave weird residue that does go away after a while, but it gets annoying.
After trying 3 types of screen protectors, I would HIGHLY suggest the regular scratch proof ones. They really work and the bubbles went away after a night of having it on.

Generally an anti-glare protector has a matte finish and generally the crystal clear ones are glossy. That's the distinction that matters in regards to fingerprints -- any glossy surface is going to be print-astic and hold on to finger oils with the jaws of life.
I have a clarivue anti-glare, and it is definitely more resistant to prints than the stock HTC protector was. But it's not magic, or even oleophobic, it's just an ordinary matte surface.
I also recommend a decent brand like boxwave or clarivue above some no-name protector if you want to be sure it's going to be durable. I used the same clarivue for 4 years on my palm TX and it was in a 100x better shape than the stock HTC protector was after a couple of weeks.

Best Screen Protector for Mate 7

I was wondering what everyone else's experience has been like with screen protectors on this handset.
I usually buy a Media Devil screen protector or a tempered glass one like on all my previous handset.
I have found that the nilken tempered glass and another non branded one had the same issue. The top of the screen protector and bottom left just don't seem to take for whatever reason and won't stick down correctly. I have tried 2 nilken and 2 of the non branded one bit had the same result everytime.
With the bad luck with tempered glass I tried these from amazon
3x Vikuiti MySafeDisplay Screen Protector DQCT130 from 3M for Huawei.. For some reason they sent me only 2? Both had alignment issues.
So after all that I am using no screen protection which is not ideal but hoping someone here can recommend a good one.

I did indeed. Usually moderators relocate the thread to accessories so it's easy to find. I looked in accessories for a thread for screen protectors couldn't find one so created it. If I had known one existed I wouldn't have wasted my time. Lol. Can you please delete this one in that case. Many Thanks.

Panzerglass is releasing their Mate 7 tempered glass protector in about a month. I contacted them.
I bought a Nillkin tempered glass and guess what, it is not sticking on the bottom left corner I have read the other tread and it seems that almost all Mate 7 has a faulty screen in the sense that they are not totally flat, which causes issues with using tempered glass.
Has anyone actually managed to apply a tempered glass wihout any problems on a Mate 7?
I ordered Stilgut tempered glass screen protector, i hope that it will be good.
Stilgut glass fit perfectly
Hi All,
Nillkin amazing h is a no-brainer. Cheap, easy to buy, hard as nails (check Youtube videos), no glue and great quality

Mocolo Glass Protector is amazing quality.
Proper cut outs for sensors as well. Rounded edges. Very clear and smooth.
Cheap in UK here
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mocolo-Pr...-Protector-Huawei-Ascend-Mate-7-/321644518879
Yeah. Ive got this one http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=321644518879&alt=web and it's all good.
I picked up the TruShield tempered glass version off amazon for my wife and my mate 7 works great.
I have tried a few tempered glass screen protector but I have the same problem with all of them. The lower left screen does not stick. I wonder whether all mate 7 has this problem or it is batch related.
I hope to bring some light regarding the glass screen protectors issues and why some they seem they don't seem to stick properly.
I purchased 5 Mate 7 in total (1 MT7-J1 / 2x MT7-TL10 / 2x MT7-L09).
All of them where having some issues with the glass screen protectors, some of them worse than the others. Usually one of the corners was not adhering properly. It is worth to notice that I tried with different brands.
The Mate 7 is not perfectly flat. If the headset is place screen down on a flat surface it will show when tapping on the corners that the phone wobbles.
In my case I gave up and I will stick with a normal one. Shame for that coz the phone otherwise is great.

Try this kind of tool.. and put it over the infected area for atleast a few hours..preferably over the night and if you are lucky.. the glue will fit..
I bougt the Nillkin without any research, it was pretty much the only glass avaiable in sweden for mate 7 (huawei have a small market share here). However, I was too fast when tried to apply it..so some dust and dirt did manage to go under the glass...so I will have to buy a new glass.. however... my phone is atleast protected now...I bought the glass protector to not make the crack in the original glass worse...
However.. I am now in the look for replacement, I am ok with 2-3 weeks delivry time... as long as it is cheap...Preferably from amazon.com
There seem to be a lot of glass protectors there, but I do not seem to find good tests where different brands are compared...
Have any people done serious research into this matter ?

Why do you want to buy a new glass protector? Just remove the protector from the screen, clean the dust and then put the screen protector back.
I have a nilkin tempered glass screen protector and it sticks perfectly. Didnt had any issue with it.

S7 back cover tempered glass

Dear ,
I have my s7 for a few days and I wanoticed protect it against scratches.
I already have a tempered glass for the front
But the question is,is there one for the back..
Now, don't recommend me any sort of case. That it not why I bought a 700 dollar phone. I want to feel the premium materials etc
So, is there any tempered glass for the back?
If yes, where? (Preferably ebay)
Thanks
There are screen protector films for back in eBay but I don't think there is tempered glasses for back side.
Slickwraps
I would recommend checking out slickwraps. You can get coverage of the back of the phone and the sides, in color or seethrough.

a clear case poses the same problem. He said he wants to *feel* the materials of the the phone. Not just see it. I was actually thinking something similar. I had always put my phones in cases, thin ones because I carry them in my pocket. But this time, I really like how the entire phone looks and feels. I wish they could have used sapphire for the glass, then I wouldn't even care about trying to find a tempered glss protector
Bumping this.
Would really like to see more focus on tempered glass for the backside. What I have seen from videos the back seems to be more fragile.
Doesn't seem to be very common though?

Are they any good screen protectors out there?

I've been reading all the threads in the forum after I brought my OP 5 yesterday (supposed to arrive to me in the next 2 weeks) and I cant find any solid recommendation.
There aren't any brands making screen protectors to our devices and even less reviews.
-I saw people saying to stay away from the original screen protector made by Oneplus due to the few millimeter lost cause by it.
-I looked on the Orzly screen protector and it looked quiet well but after searching the web I saw multitude negative reviews due lack of adhesiv, dot metrix and rainbows showing up on the screen. but some other who claims the protector is completely fine
In conclusion: In the Glass screen protectors section, there is no good product that will be fine with guarantee ?
If so, there is any other kind of screen protector (not glass one's) such as Skinomi or IQ Shield that are recommended?
I have to order any kind of screen protector as soon as possible before my device will arrive.
thanks for your professional support !
Every single option, glass or TPU, sucks. The best option is the non-glass protector that ships applied to the phone. Baby that one as long as you can.

Still the best, even covered in 2" of lint lol
As much as the screen protectors suck, the Orzly is stil the best of the bunch. I have it installed with no rainbow effect in the middle. Again, I think this is a case of people who have the issues are the ones you see. It depends on how you install it I guess. I know a few others who have also installed it without the rainbow, but I know people who have installed it and have had the rainbow. At least it is a fully screen protector, that doesnt cut off a millimeter of the screen basically, and at least they aren't a company that blames the user for obvious issues with their TGSP *cough* Oneplus *cough*
Take it from someone who has been through 5+ different screen protectors... About the only one that was semi worth a damn was Orzly. You run into ones that don't fill the entire screen and leave the edges exposed, don't stick, cover the front camera or ones that just flat out don't end up sticking. I wish I didn't end up taking off the one that the OP5 came shipped with but oh well lesson learned. As I said as of right now the only semi decent one is Orzly but even that one I had issues with the glue towards the edges peeling so the screen wouldn't respond because the protector was coming off the screen a little. Still though - Orzly or Manufacturer screen that was originally on the one are your best options at this point.
I really like the IQ branded film protector. I've had no problems with it and I only really notice it when I swipe along the edges and feel the film.

I'm using the clear one. It's definitely not as smooth as glass but it's smooth enough. It's more smooth than a glass screen without a oleophobic coating. Fingerprint residue is minimal. The only case I have is the sandstone one from OnePlus and I have no problems with it.

Using the clear IQ protector here too. So far it's the best I've found. I've used the official TGSP, Orzly TGSP, and a couple other cheaper TGSPs. The wet application film screen protectors are the way to go for this phone it seems. Helps a lot with finger prints and I haven't had any issues with it not being slick enough.
think ill just go nude and use a thick case lol. haven't had any scratches on my s8+ which also has gorilla glass 5.

I went and removed the factory installed protector, it was a bad idea. Now I have small hairline scratches on the bottom right corner. I've now ordered a tempered glass in Amazon to hide the scratches.
The one that came with the phone is fantastic imo. I haven't enjoyed tgsp since my nexus 6p because of the 2.5D curved glass craze, no tgsp fits any phone good anymore. Axon, Samsung (ROFL, you thought OUR screen was bad?) , I haven't looked at the screen protectors for the G6, but the screen doesn't appear to be 2.5d so that's a step in the right direction..
When my stock screen protector gets unusable, I'll buy the 30$ crash guard from rhinosheidl ?????? Just to see if the hype is real...
Unless someone already has photos of it....

No idea whatsoever, my stock screen protector from oneplus is still in fantastic shape, so I don't imagine ordering four a couple more months at least.
The ones for the oneplus 3 are 13 dollars on amazon, and ship with prime in the US.. So I imagine in a few weeks the price will become more better.
I've recently seen this on the taobao site. GOR branded TSP. I've used their flat ones on other phones and am quite satisfied with the performance. They have 2 versions, one with the black border, one with a edge sealant sort of thing. I'm planning to get the sealant version next month since my option to add items for cheap shipping is exhausted for July....
If anyone's in China or has bought one, some feedback would be appreciated.

Its says in the description, "Not edge to edge protection. (NOT FULL COVERAGE)" so there is no false advertising

Confused about which screen protector to use

So I just upgraded from a almost 3 year old nexus lg 5 to samsung s8.
Of course this means I also have to get a new screen protector. The one I used on my old phone was a very thin one, think it's 0,1mm and you barely notice it's there, and I mean this literally it's hard to tell it has a screen protector.
The screen protector on my samsung s8 is one I got from the store when I bought the s8. It's 0,4mm thick and has a white'ish tint to it, like, you can see it's there, it's not exactly low profile. On top of that the edges are made in such a way that dirt sort of gets in under it. Seriously a horrible screen protector.
So I wanted to know if anyone on here knows of a thin, film screen protector that's good?
The ones I've been looking at so far are the Samsungs official screen protectors.
Had also looked like spigan neo flex, but they seem to be getting bad reviews.

I am using Spigen's Neo Flex right now and it isn't so good. Yes, there are no marks of my fingers, but when i put it inside a spigen tough armour case the edges of the screen protector lifted from the screen. I had to trimm it and now it is collecting dust on the sides between the screen and the case.
Before this i had samsung's original screen protector and it work really good, and i think it would have been case friendly, but the problem is that it always had dirt and my finger's mark on the screen.
So i would recommend you pick another one from those two, or if you decide to buy the spigen's neo flex make sure it is the case friendly one and not the full coverage because that is the one i have and have big issues with the sides.
The ones i read that have some good reviews (you should definetly look a bit more in case you want it, just to make sure) are the "Invisible Defender by Ringke" and "Armorsuit MilitaryShield".
In case you still want the spigen's one i have to tell you that it has some strange marks in the screen, that make it look funny and lower a bit the quality of the screen. But if that doesn't bother, it isn't a really bad option if you aren't going to use a case and buy the full cover one.

I offered a suggestion. Some people don't think about that. They all have reviews including customer pictures. It wasn't negative in any way.
