Bkb50 keyboard - Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooti

Anyone here thinks that this newly revealed keyboard at MWC will also be compatible with z3 tablet compact? It's a great combination really and i suppose it should be able to connect to z3 tablet compact via Bluetooth.

the keyboard looks to be fitted to the Z4 tablet, which has a 10" screen. You should be able to use any bluetooth keyboard though, it just won't be part of a case like the one you mentioned for the Z4 tablet

The advntge is the touch pad. Well it won't fit the z3 tablet but i think it would be able to connect with it via Bluetooth. I would then use separate stand for the z3 tablet

Sony ps3 bluetooth keyboard CECH ZKB1GB
Sony Ericsson livedock
Sony bravia tv connect phone to it via livedock and hdmi
All I wanna do it pair the keyboard up with the phone but all I keep getting is
Paired but not connected what am I doing wrong
Anyone know?
I think the reason why no one replied, is because you are in the wrong section. This is the Xperia S section, and your question is regarding the Arc S, which is a different phone.

Same bloody thing will happen even with the XPS, for some reason these phones do not connect to wireless keyboard or mouse and will get the message paired but not connected all the time. Apparently they will only work via USB/GO system docked via live dock cradle.
I asked Sony support about this and the above was their reply. When I then enquired if Sony Live Dock was compatible with the S, was informed that there was no live dock available for Xperia S, confused or what.

Smart dock for xperia s.

Hi guys. One simple question, is there a smart dock for the xperia s. Only heard of the ones for the P and Ion.

Sorry there isn't one.
Expansys sells a Kidigi Cover-Mate cradle. Not so much a smart dock but it will let you charge phone and be able to connect HDMI cable from phone to TV etc at the same time. Have not used it myself thinking about getting it though.
i am still on the one for arc

With a smart dock can you connect a PS3 controller to it and navigate the menus?
I believe I saw it somewhere but I dont remember where !!

I remembered where I had seen it. This guy plays Driver using a PS3 controller connected to the livedock http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J92oirwd9BQ&feature=g-vrec&context=G281070fRVAAAAAAAABg
I wonder why there's none for the xperia s. Is the P more of a multi media device than the S.
I don't understand the reasoning behind this at all.

there is a difference between a LIVEDOCK and a SMARTDOCK ...
LIVEDOCK:
it is an universal cradle for all sony devices with an USB- and HDMI-OUT connection ... no matter where they are to find on your handset. (XPERIA S left-side USB and right-side HDMI)
SMARTDOCK:
is an accessory for the XPERIA P ... the reason why it is only for an XPERIA P is, because a XPERIA P have the USB- and HDMI-OUT on one side (left-side)... so you can easy plug it
can I use smart dock for ion (dk 20) with xperia p? Sony just ''erased'' xperia p on his page (I can't put link, just google it)
wy ask it here??!!, this is no Xperia S forum :s

Sony Xperia Tablet and Apple Bluetooth keyboard

Hi !
I have a Sony Xperia Tablet and tried to pair it with my Apple Bluetooth keyboard. It pairs and shows up on the tablet but there is no input.
Tried in different apps that allow typing but cannot get it to function at all!
Any advice welcomed!

I had a similar problem with the Sony Tablet S and Apple keyboards.
Eventually, I ended up using a Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard and it works fine.
thanks for your reply VitaZora,
I have the case with the built in keyboard, but I am still interested to know why my Apple Bluetooth Keyboard will pair but will not work.
Any ideas?

Maybe no support for such keyboard?
Probably Apple products are only supported with the same brand (iPad etc.)

Yes, pity about that.
Does anyone know a way to get it to work? It works with my Sony Xperia S mobile phone but looks rather silly!!
I have an original Samsung 7" tablet and the Apple Keyboard works fine with it!
I have a simple stand for the Xperia Tablet and, alongside it, the Apple Keyboard looks so cool!
edit - Cradle arrived today! Ordered through Sony and had an delivery date for next Tuesday or Wednesday!!:laugh::laugh:
I think these look good together, so shame keyboard doesn't work!

I got my Apple Keyboard working by using an app called BlueInput https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teksoftco.android.blueinput&hl=en and it works just fine.
The trial version works buit puts "BlueInput" in your text every now and then but I believe you can pay for a version which removes this.
Good luck!
Thanks, it worked, but the connection seemed to be unstable. Second time I tried to use the keyboard, I had to re-pair it, so I will probably not use it. Shame it doesn't work on the stock Tablet S out of the box
I downloaded the app Null Keyboard. My Apple keyboard works perfectly with my Tablet S; using it daily

Suggestions needed for a Bluetooth headset for Xperia Tablet Z, Nexus 4 and PS3

Hi folks, I have a Nexus 4, Xperia tablet Z and PS3 and I'm looking for a bluetooth headset for use with all three of them.
Any suggestions I should consider? Perhaps you might be using similar 3-4 devices..

Game controllers that work with the Z5 Compact

Hi guys. This is my first post and I want to thank all of you that post in these threads and make everyone's life a lot easier.
I understand that PS3 controller support has been dropped from Z5 Compact and that PS4's DualShock 4 does work with our phone.
Do you know if any other controllers work with a Z5 Compact which has not been tampered with or does it support the DS4 only?
Will any branded or generic Bluetooth controller work on a mint Z5 Compact? Say, a Gamesir controller or a mad catz LYNX, for instance?
Please list the controller(s) that you have successfully paired with this phone and that worked properly.
Thanks
I got this one and it works fine
