Long press on the app icon in the apps scope to add a review.
Creating web apps is relatively easy. Install the Ubuntu SDK and create a new webapp project. It will probably guide you through everything you have to do.
If you run into any issues while doing so, feel free to ask.

Thanks ill do reviews
I've setup the sdk and just getting started
I joined Irc to try get more info but its not easy could do with a newbie forum and Irc to get started at it to be honest, although I am struggling through!! Thanks for your help so far

Sell trade

I want to trade my US Titan for a UK Version or a UK Android. Is there a forum for this purpose? I can't find it. Thanks.
Post the details in the want to sell forum on the main xda forum page, you will need to scroll down and it will involve using your mouse and possibly use of your eyes ;-p
Yes xda marketplace - google it.

Hi to both of you and thanks for the reply.
Seriously I was going crazy about this, especially after I saw your replies cause I still could not find it. I just learned there was a reason I could not find it. Apparently I have no access to that forum because I am too new here. Therefore it doesn't matter how much I used my eyes or scrolling with the mouse
I guess I will have to wait.
You might want to pm Dmac1984 to possibly make a trade on his unlocked UK titan phone. Check out this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1699600
Will do, thank you!

REQ: iphone app ported to android, or something close

I have no developer skills at all and I'm illiterate when it comes to writing programs, so I'm hoping maybe someone is here who's infinitely more adept at this stuff than me who's willing to take this on (if not, well, thanks for reading anyway! )
can't send the actual itunes app link since it's blocked at work, but there's a review of an app here (http://www.iphonefreak.com/2010/09/midnight-hd-ipad-app-review-visual-delight.html) which I couldn't find anything similar on the Marketplace.
Anyone else interested in getting something like this app running on our platform? If so - can you do it since, as already stated, I can't do anything to help get this done?

There are tons of android alternatives.
Just search "Particles" in Play store.
Cheers.
Questions should be asked in the Q&A forums, not Development forums.

Android app for a small business

I'm looking to create an app for my deli/restaurant and I'm a chef that knows my way around android but nothing on this level. I want to hire an app developer to create a basic app with my menu, specials, Facebook etc. WWW.Faldonis.com is my website (don't laugh at the website... I told ya I'm a chef) to give ya an idea of the menu and feel of my place. I will go in to more details once an app devolper PMS me.
Thanks,
Chef

Its better to have an amateur website than no website at all. IMO, you'd probably be better off developing a decent mobile version of your website. Everything you want can be done through a smartphone browser pretty easily. Plus the same website will work on Android, iOS, Blackberry, etc instead of an app which would work only with one OS.
I can do it

Yeah this is what a dev just pmd me. Makes more sense to have a mobile friendly app. I think it would be neat to have an actual "Faldonis" app that opened the mobile version also. And yes... even though my website isn't easy on the eyes... it does have almost 40,000 visits to the home page
which like you say is better then nothing.

Want to learn to program android apps and games.

Hi everyone, I have been using the Android OS for a few years now, and I love it. I have just decided today that I am no longer going to just watch from the sidelines as apps get released. I want to get my greasy little mitts in on the action.
I would really appreciate some advice on what I should start with. I would like to learn Java, and or Python. I just need to know what direction I should go in. I really want to create games. Any advice would be amazing

I really would advise learning java. A really good tutorial sight is thenewboston.com. It has a multitude of programming tutorials as well as android tutorials. After going through these tutorials, I would recommend using the andengine library for games as it makes collisions, physics, and animations much easier to deal with. Good Luck!

I love android coding, and maybe I can teach u something.
I can't post links yet (this is actually my first post in the forums!), but I found the Android Bootcamp 2012 video series from NewCircle priceless. It's available for free on YouTube and it is based on the development of an entire app from scratch. It is slightly outdated, but very well made.
I also followed the Coursera's course on Android by prof Adam Porter: it's free as well and it just ended, so it's really up to date. It is based on a different approach though, covering different topics and providing several little projects, instead of a single one.
Imho though you do need some knowledge of Java. I came from a C++ background, so i was able to follow those courses while also learning bits of Java too, but starting with zero knowledge of both the Android api and Java could really be overwhelming, just warning you.
While following the Coursera's course, I saw people recommending a free course about Java taught by John Purcell on the Udemy platform (I might be wrong on the guy's first name).

After taking that Coursera clas by Prof. Porter I was able to put an app in the app store. Aww yea.
Yea me too, it was a really cool course. Are you planning on following the next course? It seems like a tough one!

[Q] Note 2 Multi-window help!!

Hi, okay so i have a non-rooted Note 2, and i've seen videos in which people has some apps (such as twitter, kakao talk, facebook, gmail.. etc) in their multi-window tab but i don't have them in my multi-window tab.
and also i want to know something about rooting:
Risks:
Why would i want to do it:
Do i lose my warranty doing it?
Thank you.
So I see you're new here... Prior to signing up for an account, XDA required that you watch a video about being a noob. It was well done, I recommend you watch it. If I remember correctly, one of the main points was that the people contributing to the site that make it what it is (awesome) spend a lot of time researching and sharing what they develop and find. It is in everyone's best interest for you to research your questions prior to wasting everyone's time asking the same questions that have already been answered. In your case, they have been.
But enough chastising and... Welcome!
IMO you should just assume you have to root your phone in the very least to apply a majority of the customizations here. That may not be the case all of the time, but it applies often enough. Xda University might have answers to your questions there, otherwise so some more searching on this site.
There are multiple options to your question about the multi Window. Here is one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2028535. Note that you must be rooted.
Always assume that everything voids your warranty. I don't know if it is necessarily true with regards to rooting, but that's because you can remove the root. If you brick your phone, assume the warranty is void.
Final recommendation; stay logged on to XDA and subscribe to the Galaxy note 2 forum. After a day or so of cruising around you will have enough information to make your head explode. You will also appreciate the folks that contribute to the site, specifically by user name as you realize how much work they invest in helping the community.
Good luck!
Alright thank you very much, I'll root my phone ASAP. And sorry for that haha

No worries! There's a lot of support with rooting your phone. Although it's a bit scary at first, once you're done you'll feel a lot more comfortable monkeying around with it. After you root and have either Clockwork Mod Recovery, or TWRP recovery installed (part of the rooting process), back it up immediately before playing with any of the Mods. Part of the process usually involves getting into a boot loop. Doing this will save your blood pressure and lower anxiety levels.
I know I'm a little worried about rooting because I just bought my phone so I don't want anything to happen to it lol but yeah thanks for everything.

You don't have to root for get other apps available for multi view, there's a write up on android central and YouTube video that walks you through altering the apk file to make it work in multi view, I'm just out searching to see if anyone's already done it and posting the apks

Yes i did that but neither kik messenger nor twitter work. So i just rooted my phone, did a backup and installed a ROM called Jelly Beans, in which you can usa ALL apps on the multiview and is also pretty cool. Thanks though.
