CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

64 bit builds require 64 bit blobs which we don't have atm. all other lollipop roms are too old now with no fresh development. if the op can get a stable working lollipop then thats good for me untill official rom (which btw is nowhere in sight)

Dual Sim doesn't work.. Only single sim for now.. And camera is a WIP.. Will try to fix it this weekend..
And the download links are up.. Test it and leave your reviews..

Any updates on this ROM? Considering most of the things are working in this ROM,this is the closest we have to getting 5.0+ on our devices. Also, I don't want to OTA 64 bit bootloader as there might not be development for that so I have my hopes pinned on this.

Review
Okay, so first of all, thanks to zeetherocker for his work on cm12.
So, this rom is ultra smooth...Better than any rom I have used.
Camera doesnt work as mentioned in the first post.
Wasnt able to register my Sim card. says your sim doesnt allow to connect to the network.
Wifi works like a charm.
Battery life is decent.
and no problem with sound too.
played asphalt 8...the gaming experience was better than stock cm11 and cm11 based roms.
so the only issue i have is with sim card...I want to use this rom for the longest time if this could be taken care of.

also, the screen flickers sometimes.

Yureka plus flashing problem
Sir,I have heating problem with my yureka plus so I consulted YU support. They mentioned few solution's but none worked, finally they said to flash ROM with CyanogenMod 5.0.2 tomato so I have done that but at the end when clicked reboot now,my phone is again and again restarting with banded stripes repeatingly.....what to do?? ......I hope you people will help me please.

What to do great ones?
Just wondering, but has further progress and fixes for this ROM completely stopped? Is all effort being put into 10.2 only now?
None of the bugs reported have been responded to or fixed and the Q&A URL (above) hasn't worked since XDAdev upgraded the website
I'd like to move on to 10.2 but we depend on our phones a lot daily, so currently I feel using an Unstable ROM is not an option for us right now and the camera issue we've had for a couple of weeks now (using cm-10.1.3-RC2-enrc2b) is really stopping us from using our phones as we'd like to daily, as well as the long time issue with audio (which is not a huge problem, but more annoying)
Sorry if this comes over like a moan, rather than inquisitive, but feel a little in the dark about most of this and wondering is I should be start 'all over again' and moving to 10.2 because it's where the 'near' future is heading
I can't do anything right now, short version I no longer own any PC's I'll ask @tombriden to take a look at the bugs

Hi. My gf was bought a Galaxy Win (GT-8552B) yesterday, and I wish to install a ~decent~ rom (the stock rom is very laggy). I have a Moto G and contribute to solve some bugs on custom roms based on CM11, and I could help the project in next stage (yeah, I cant install a ultra-experimental rom in girlfriend phone lol) Can explain what's working? (dont need be very detailed, only to we know the stage that we are)
Well, congratulation for the start. This phone owners will be very happy with CM11.

The OP mentioned it on thread at Android Development section. But, since I tested it, let me explain: the rom just boots to home screen. Nothing else is working: no camera, no audio, no wifi, no bluetooth, no carrier signal, only one SIM. But in time they will get it to work. :good:

Is it possible for you to disclose all steps?
My questions are :
1. What VM Software you used or directly developed in Linux?
2. If Linux then I586 or x64 version used?
3. Partition Schema. Specially /home.
4. Total VM Space for developing CM for one instance?
5. Version of Java used.
6. Version of make used.
7. Version of python used.
8. What API version used? 16 or else?
9. In repo what repository you have downloaded?
10. For breakfast what device name you used? delos3geur or I8552?
Regards
Used ubuntu 13.10 as dual boot 100gb partition
64bit
Cm11 takes approx 45gb space
For everything else simply followed k2wl's guide in his device repository posted in general section

Note:
You want to use a 64-bit version of Linux. According to Google, 32-bit Linux environment will only work if you are building older versions prior to Gingerbread (2.3.x)/CyanogenMod 7. However, as of 10.1 CyanogenMod does not build with 64bit host binaries on some systems. You will have to set something like BUILD_HOST_32bit=1 in your environment when building on such 64bit system.
Hopefully you have set the environment.

[ROM][CM12][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 12 BETA - LS990

Beta is here, go try it
CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.0 (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

Yup. It's finally here. CM12 with basically everything* working.
*Working:
Pretty much everything:
WiFi (Reports of 5Ghz being broken)
2G/3G/LTE
Camera (back and front-facing and LED flash, no 4K recording as it's not in CM yet) (new issues with camera connection error, and quality)
Sound (little bit quiet)
Screen (duh)
Proximity, Accelerometer, Gyroscope
SDCard read/write
GPS (can drain battery really fast)
*Not working:
Wireless Charging (it works but it's very, very slow)
Bluetooth - (All of it)
NFC - (Might be a battery killer in current state, uninstall or freeze it in TiBu)
Installation Instructions:
*NOTE*: You must be Bump'd for this to work. This requires flashing via custom recovery.
1. Download this and GApps (recommended PA GApps here You are going to need to use the Lollipop ones, this is 5.0)
2. Put both on Internal Storage
3. Reboot into recovery
4. BACKUP CURRENT ROM
5. Factory Reset/Wipe
6. Flash CM12 (no need to wipe System)
7. Flash GApps
(Optional: flash SuperSU Lollipop Edition for Root. Download here)
8. Reboot
9. ???
10. Profit

Word. I'm in. Very excited for this.
I guess I could say...first? Haha.
Wow this is unexpected.
I have a nexus 9 and i haven't even seen CM pop for it yet... LOL
Could this day get ANY better?!? I contend that it can not!
The only way my day would be better is if my sold item on eBay would get paid. Haha. But this is great guys. Thanks so much for getting this up.
Presumably, the same fix for BT and NFC will work for both CM11 and CM12, once it's uncovered.
I can't believe this is about to work as well as CM11. You worked so fast! Can't wait to try.
BT, I think I have discovered. NFC. not quite yet.
I didn't read and tried the alpha! Haha. I got data and WiFi working for a second by dirty flashing cm 12 over cm 11 until it had constant reboots.
Now that that fun is over I'll wait for the beta to finish building and uploading.

Why not use the CM 5.0 Gapps?
Pa gapps are the ones that are most updated ......they do a great job of getting them up right away
Great job, thought you seemed a little quiet, been working your tail off. Thanks for this big time. Keeping an eye.

Thanks for bringing this to us,
Unlock?
Does this add support for GSM sims?
Saved me the trouble of making it myself
So am I correct in saying that this is not as usable as the CM 11 build?

Right. Until the Beta is finished building all there is for now is the Alpha which is going to have issues likely beyond what CM11 carries.

Care to explain? Always wonder how these things work, and how much coding a ROM Dev does to fix stuff like broken BT.
WOW. Great job man. This is definitely going to help my jonesing for a Nexus 6, lol.
What a time to be alive! ?

I have a question. I read on phonearena.com that the phone I own (sm-s820l), is the same model as the core prime value edition. That being the case, would it be possible that this cyanogenmod would work with it? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I was just curious.
Maybe that's why I couldn't find your phone model in sammobile.com.
Take a moment thanks the OP for his hard work. We had no developer to develop for our device and OP made it possible.
Soon you'll get everything fixed!

If you want to change the drawer style then I recommend you to use Nova Launcher and if you want to take screenshots long press on power key + volume down button.
I thought that changing the app drawer style was a feature in CM :/ , well nvm it's OK I can live with it?

Hey @Dreamstar did you stop developing the ROM? There were no updates since 2016-10-13.
Hey @Dreamstar,
I love the ROM!
Are you still working on it?
I have swapped to it to use it full time. I haven't had any issues, besides a bootloop from attempting to install Xposed and an attempt at the patch to android from Lucky Patcher.
I would love to see updates to this rom and on bugs like the video recording (I got past it by using a third party camera app)
Kind regards
James
Hey @Dreamstar we need you to fix all bugs of this rom so we could use it for our everyday life. I've found some connection issues, video recording produces the wrong colour, the camera app fails to open when launching it directly from the lock screen and sometimes doesn't even open when launching it from the app drawer. If you need the logs, contact me. Please kindly accept my request, thanks and keep it up. :good:
Hey @Dreamstar,
I noticed that my device boot loops whenever I reboot it.
Not sure why.

Did you do a factory reset after flashing the ROM or did you flashed mods?

Hey @FardeenTGO,
I had to factory wipe to get the ROM to boot. Everything works fine, and the camera only gives trouble with recording and front facing on some flashes.
The device only goes into boot loop when I apply a theme. I thought it might have been from changing the DPI, but I eliminated it by reflashing a few times and changing the DPI and theme on separate flashes.
I am now using the ROM full time, but I can't set a theme.
Regards
James
