is this the same on other devices with the same version of viber, if no then i do believe it could be something to do with the Z2s hardware and we may not be able to do anything about it
(try playing with any notifacation settings.

Thank You.
I played with settings and then restarted the device also, from whatsapp settings I activated the notification light option.... finally its working

Getting WhatsApp notifications to work with Light Flow on Note 3

I had the hardest time getting the WhatsApp notifications to work using Light Flow on my Note 3, but I finally figured it out. Here is the solution.
Normally you need to turn on Light Flow in the Accessibility settings on the phone. But not for Android 4.3 and above. There is a note when you turn Light Flow Accessibility on and off saying such. So leave Accessibility off for Light Flow. Instead go to Phone Settings/Security/Notification access and check the box after Light Flow. And now it should work.
Hope that helps you.

not worth using light flow on 4.3 and above since there is a persistent notification when you pull down the status bar. i use led blinker pro now. does the same thing pretty much.

I don't have an issue with the notification lights in 4.3. The reason I use Light Flow is because WhatsApp doesn't use alerts for contacts propertly. When you tell it to use Contact specific notifications in WhatsApp it uses the Contact's Ringtone instead of the Message Alert. Light Flow handles this properly and in addition it allows a different notification for WhatsApp and Handcent (or your SMS App). I don't know of any other App that will do that. I would be ok with WhatsApp using the Message Alert and having the same alert for a text messages as WhatsApp messages. But I'm not OK with using a phone Ringtone for a text/WhatsApp message.
I should also mention that I set Light Flow Setting for "Select the type of control" to "No Control - Default device behavior." This allowed me to use the Handcent notification settings which turned out to be better than Light Flow.
thank you for this! i love lightflow!

Huawei Ascend G630 does not LED notify light WhatsApp messages

Hello
Ive seen a Huawei Ascend G630 that a friend has and he told me that the notification light when receiving WhatsApp messages does not work. The light is green by WhatsApp configuration.
How can I test the notification light is working correctly? When charging, it does light up.

I have Huawei Acend G630,and I have issue with LED indicator, its only on when charging or when the battery is low..its off for notification,I tried many apps to test it and its not blinking.
My friend have a same phone (just white edition, mine is black) and his LED indicator is blinking on notification.
HELP me,what to do,I had a BlackBerry, and i get used to led indicator,i want it to work on my g630
I'm not sure if this is the same as your problem, but my old phone only had blue and red LEDs, so setting the light color to green would result in nothing. If changing the color doesn't fix it, then I don't really know what the issue is, but you could try using an app such as Light Manager to test out the light.
Tried
Tried with that app and no light works when testing..... maybe a update???
SOLVED!
Install "Notification light widget" from google play store.
Add widget on homescreen and just tap on it.

Its said for motorola but for me its worked on Huawei.
Try to make a new google account, its possible that notifications are turned off on google settings from your smartphone that you had before G630.
First what I've did is creating new google acc and installed NLWidget and LED its work!

OK, on usual devices, just drag your application to the app info icon and when it opens, on the top left corner just below the app name you can toggle on/off notifications. Please let me know if this works.

Well making a new Google Account for this doesn't make sense. Also, the person before had the same Google Account on another phone and the notifications were lit up perfectly on the person's previous phone. Anyways, I DOUBT this has ANYTHING to do with, for example, WhatsApp, notifications.

It sounds odd because by defect it IS activated so why would it be deactivated? Also, with the widget and the light manager app it does not light up either.
There was to be some strange software bug in MIUI playing up here.

The glitch is a side effect of restoring from your Google account to the phone, which is part of the setup process for the phone. The feature downloads apps and settings from the cloud, which is usually a good thing. But in some instances it can tell the phone to restore the notification LED setting from another phone, leaving the light disabled with no way to re-enable it.
Fortunately there's a simple fix for this issue, and it's one that apparently applies to Motorola and some other phones too...
Motorola has released a widget that lets you toggle the notification light on and off, so if you're affected by this bug simply download it, place it on a home screen and toggle it on. After that you can remove the widget and your notification light will continue to work.
I dont know why but this bug comes with old google acc.
My LED was dead(it was on only on charging and batery low,not for notification),and I did factory reset, create new google acc. installed Notification light widget, and LED started to work, then I installed a Light manager for editing colours for notification.
Strange but black G630 have this bug, white G630 LED works perfectly.

Is the widget for activating it when you receive a notification? I might have been doing something stupid as in just toggleing on and off without doinging something.
Im going to turn it on using the widget and then send a WhatsApp to that person and see if it works.

Creating a new Google Account is a overkill and completely out of the question. At most, in the Google account, there has to be a setting to receive notifications. But even then, notifications are received perfectly; It just the light that doesn't turn on!

Notification LED not working with downloaded apps

On my Honor notification LED light is working only with pre-installed and google apps. Without additional app you cannot control it. I tried Light Flow, and from there you cannot choose Viber, Whatsapp or Facebook but at least you can control what will happen with pre-installed and google apps. With any other app LED light is just not working. Is there a way to change this, and did somebody else had this problem..?

You can use settings in Whatsapp for turning on the notification light. In fact, Honor 7 has multi colored light.
For Whatsapp: Go to Settings > Notification > Light
I have tried all the colours in the colour options and all of them working normally.
For facebook go to App Settings > Notifications (Turn these ON) > Phone LED (Turn this ON)
You're done. The notification will blink red by default for Facebook

Hi, thanks fo the answer!
Anyway it didn't help. Of course those were the first things which i checked when i noticed this problem. And in every app LED light was enabled, but no blinking. But since you told me that on your phone works, i searched a bit more, and I found a solution with Light Manager app. I manage to enable there LED blink for all the apps which i use.
I highly recommend this app it gives you much more options and it works with much more apps than Light Flow.
Although it would be perfect if this would be solved inside EMUI.

Thanks for recommending the app. Great that it helps in blink timing.
you need to unplug it for it to work, stupid as that sounds

Does the RGB bar work for text notifications for anyone else?

Because I turned it on in settings but it does not work.
Only when receiving phone calls and during gaming for me.
Interesting. I have the option for notifications. It just doesn't work.

My device does indeed light up the LED panel in the rear when I receive a text message or any other notification for that matter. However I can not choose the color, it lights up green.
Only all is working in China Room. It has gestures and is more complete than global one.
Is there a link for the Chinese rom? Perhaps we can extract the apk?

led notification

Hello, how did u menage to activate led notification for missed call or sms?
mine only works with viber...
ty in advance
anyone ?
go to "Settings", try to find "Notification", in result it is "Application and Notification->Notification", 3rd row is switch for LED
actually, i do not have that option
Settings>>apps & notifications>>notifications
I did that and still no led notification, only on viber it works :|
Any update on this? Does it work for everybody/somebody/no one? I tried SMS and Gmail notifications - Ambient display turns on, but LED stays off. It seems that the only time when it's glowing is during charging.
led notification works for Instagram, WhatsApp, telegram
Not working for "missed calls".

The notification led works perfectly for sms, missed calls etc.
I had to activate it from settings though.

Yesterday I noticed the LED, but it was only for gmail. SMS messages still nothing. The phone is on the lastest 100% stock EU ROM. Reading topics on MI forum, more people are having the same issue. If I remember correctly, Mi A1 had initially similar problems, but it got fixed after few updates. I guess it's just Xiaomi thing.. When I get another phone for myself, I'll try to check it in more details with root.
