did you try a screen resolution changer app or did you try modding your build.props (screen density/DPI)??
try reflashing your system only using flashtool.

I think they are on about the speaker icon? It is VERY ambiguous though.
The speaker icon (next to the vibrate icon) shows that audio is supposed to be played through a bluetooth connection (at least I think it is, that's the only time I ever see it). If you terminate the bluetooth connection while audio is still playing through it, the icon seems to stay there until you reboot.

oh :/ tells you how much my brain is working today
OP:
im not quite sure then. i would think it would be a bluetooth speaker too.

The version I'm currently is completely stock. So no changes to screen resolution, but this happens with all the notification symbols e.g - there will be two vibrations symbols when put into vibrate mode.. It's not a big deal and is not affecting the devices operations. Anyway, Thanks Guys!

I think the cause of this problem may be the lost of BT icon file in WM system.
The BT icon with headset detected icon may appear again after we apply any task bar skin (but make sure that it contains all needed BT skins too).
I haven't tried that skin yet. I will try tonight so if you've already tested it please tell me .

no, the cab does not work for me...BT icon did not appear
I am using one of the Dark Ninja's task bar skin
UPDATE: I have uninstalled the skin and reinstalled the cab. it did not show again.
but then I made a soft reset and it works!!!
so maybe it would work with the DN skin too, but make sure you make a SR after install

[Q] custom rom and bluetooth with ''?''

Hello!
I have rooted galaxy s2, change 15 custom roms, and still there’s one thing on every rom seam to appear: when i try to connect bluetooth on main screen, with scroll down options, and when i choose to select bluetooth icon, there's constant problem with every custom rom: first appears sound and then icon of bluetooth with this sign ”?”, and text message ''bluetooth available'' beside that ''?''! Despite of that, bluetooth works, but that’s really annoying! What is that, how can i fix it?

Thanks for trying to help, but i don't really understand what you say, or you don't understand me, because of my poor exsplication of problem;
once again, when i press bluetooth on my main screen, but not an icon on home screen, but icon on ''scroll down'', menu, where also is icon of wi-fi, bluetoth, gps, sound, and auto rotation; after i press bluetooth icon first appears sound, then on way up in the left corner, appears tiny words ''bluetooth available'' with mark ? beside that words.

I'm pretty sure I understand you just fine... but just in case, I'll describe what I see when I turn on bluetooth.
When I turn on bluetooth, I get a notification tone, and a notification that has the bluetooth symbol with a "?". When I swipe my notification bar down, it says "Bluetooth available". If I click on that, the notification icon disappears, and my bluetooth settings opens.
If this is NOT what you are talking about, maybe posting some screenshots would help us understand what you mean.

You actually do have an option to turn on notifications when open wi-fi networks are available. But it's off by default, I think.
As for GPS, the GPS doesn't have to connect to anything like wi-fi or bluetooth, exactly.
Mate,
all is fine.
This notification only appears on bluetooth.
And no it's not an error...
U can see it like and notification/info that u now are able to do s.th. with bluetooth... That for it is.
And sure there must be an "?" because at tgis moment u turn on bluetooth u aren't automaticly connect to an other device...
And yes it wasn't there everytime... It's was a "feature" (maybe for u not) in an earlier firmware release of android.
Be cool... Press notification and see that nothing crazy happening and then u can decide if u you.... If not just ignore it.
Hope all is fine now

Hmm don't think so because it's a bit senseless to turn it off (normally).
But I'm not using the actual JKay, maybe it has the option to deactivate the notification, but I'm not sure...
Don't misunderstand me, but if u activate bluetooth y normally want to connect and than it's better to do it with two than with 5 clicks or?
Maybe u think again about it.
Hope all is clear now for you ;-)

That only shows up when you turn on bluetooth from OUTSIDE the bluetooth settings screen. In other words, from the notification bar or a widget, so you can more quickly open the bluetooth settings, if you wanted to pair a new device. If you turn on bluetooth when you're already IN the bluetooth settings screen, it won't show up. Try it. You can ignore it. It's NOT an error.

G2 Bugs/Problems/Issues Thread *VIDEOS INSIDE*

so i figured starting a general thread for bugs and issues would be a better idea to consolidate everything into one thread!
I've got the Verizon G2, so it would be interesting to see if other carriers have the same issue. These are all, for the most part, software issues.
for me, its:
1.) Launcher Redraw.
video example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gpn-hZnEPqg (ending shows homescreen launcher lag too)
I've posted a video yesterday, and will be posting another today showing how after almost every app, the launcher is redrawing, and therefore causes lag if you goto switch screens after hitting home. doesn't always do it, but does for the majority of the time. it does it enough that it warranted me rooting the phone to try to fix it, so I'm going to give v6 supercharger a go soon and do the bulletproof launcher. I'm apprehensive though because we don't have recovery to make a nandroid...
2.) *solved*Lag on notification drop down on lock screen
video example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLWUXOu68d8
did you set your wallpaper to non scrolling? if you didn't know you can do this, you can. if you goto gallery and select a custom wallpaper, at the top it gives the option of non scroll or scroll, which is awesome. however, beware.. when you do non scroll, for some weird reason your notification drop down will lag in the home screen. setting it back to scrolling wallpaper alleviates this. very weird
3.) Audio during video recording.
video example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oU6Sp5V5Hv0 (also shown is the "breathing" auto focus we all experience.)
The audio during video recording uses noise cancelling mics, which can be good as we've seen in other flagship phones. however, on the g2, they sound identical to the htc rezound from 2011. that phone had really bad wishy washy underwater sounding audio when the source was remotely loud. the g2 does the same thing sadly. other phones, such as the htc dna (shows that htc learned their lesson..) and the gs3/gs4 do not have this issue.. hell, even the galaxy nexus didn't.
I'm hoping that once we get developers on it, they'll make a modified camera that can allow for either the reduction in gain from the microphones, or to be able to cancel the noise cancellation to stop the underwater sound. on the rezound, htc somewhat fixed it with the ics update. here's hoping LG will do the same.
4.) Speaker has built in limiter/compression.
this is most annoying because i like listening to music on the speaker. sounds good but the thing is its being compressed and limited at a certain level, so you don't actually hear the best quality of the song. for example if the drums get really loud, it compresses and limits them down to your volume level, which takes away intensity of the song and just doesn't make it sound even. hoping to find a setting to turn this off...
5.) screen brightness changes with Auto brightness off depending on what's on the screen.
video example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slwkFhpiYbs&feature=youtu.be
this is that content adaptive brightness crap that they forced on the phone. it changes based on more whites or more blacks on the screen, then dims and brightens accordingly. it's incredibly annoying and there's currently no way to turn it off. in titanium i found an app called content adaptive back light and then i removed it.. it still does it.
what issues are you having with it?
Sent from my LG G2 using Tapatalk 4
my wallpaper doesn't scroll and when I pull the notification bar down I don't have any lag.
I'm gonna post the video when i get home from work. it does it every single time I have non scrolling on the stock launcher, and once I switch to scrolling, it's smooth again. remember, this is on the lockscreen.

- Knock knock works 70-80% on the 1st try. Being a huge selling point of this device and something I use ALL the time I would like this to work 100%
1. There is a headphone CPU noise issue when charging. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448854
2. Transparency for status bar/soft buttons only seems to work for stock wallpapers.

Yes this is unfortunate and unreliable. I wonder if an update can fix this. They may worried about it being too sensitve.
On another matter, my Verizon version is prone to turning on the camera or note pad when in my pocket via the rear buttons. Even prone to turning on the phone when sitting on a table off because of the sensitivity of the rear buttons. Not sure if it is just the verizon model or both.

Your pic shows status bar shaded darker. I see truly transparent on stock wallpaper. There is a slight shading on bottom soft keys, but otherwise transparent.
Another thing I see -- transparent forces soft keys to be white regardless of what you select.
I got intermittent distortion with my Icon HD bluetooth headset during calls. Doesnt matter if the phone is in my pocket or just sitting on a desk next to me. This didnt happen with any of my previous phones (S4, One, Nexus)
Lock Screen Camera App Image?
Is this supposed to happen? If I start a swipe to unlock, the camera app image goes away, but then comes back...
Is this a shortcut to the camera? Usually if I swipe from an app on the bottom that is my shortcut.
yeah man swipe to the left to bring up camera like on stock android.

Where is that located?!?!?!?!? I keep seeing the an icon on the task bar that is a box with an eye in the corner and generally the brightness changes when it comes on, but I can't find any info on the icon. I think it might be that, not sure.
The issue I notice is when I get a text and click on it to go to the convo about 25% of the time it goes to the top of the thread and not the bottom where the most recent text is.....

[Q] Is there a way to adjust the m7's vibration intensity?

I just switched to ARHD 31.0 from CM 10.2 (had terrible battery life, but I loved the light vibration notification) and I forgot how intense the vibration is on the Sense ROMs. I turn my phone on vibrate only at work to be respectful of others, but honestly this phone's vibration is just as loud as having a ringtone. It's way too much. Does anyone know of a way to reduce the vibration intensity? I've looked all over the forums and haven't found much info other than taking apart the phone....
I know that you can adjust the length and pattern of the vibration, but I really need a way to turn this down significantly. Thanks.
This isn't quite what you asked for, but is my solution to the same problem.
It seems like most of the volume associated with the vibrate function is due to being placed directly on a hard surface that will transmit and intensify the noise. If you place something that doesn't transmit the vibrations well it drastically reduces the volume while still letting you hear the phone when at your desk. I use a small carpet sample (about 8"x6") as a coaster on my desk and when I put my phone down I place it on that as well. It really cuts down on the noise, but not enough that you won't notice it when at your desk. If the carpet is in use, I just place my phone on a pad of post-its or a note pad, which doesn't work quite as well, but close enough for my situation.

I've been searching this for a while now. Tx for helping..
***Easier method***
If you want to get rid of vibration completely, but without putting your phone on silent, just use App Ops! You need something to launch the activity, there are App-ops launchers in Play Store or you could just use a Tasker task. Once you're in, just go through all your apps and untick the "Vibration" permission!
No root required!!!

Powerful friends. You are my idol. If you have time, can you help port MIUI on stock? Hah. I will try this colorful ROM ASAP.
works great and multilenguage on spanish works fine some apps in jap
Most functions are ready and stable.
Except that bugs in CM4.2.2, such as the loudly call volume, as it is in MIUIV5 on CM4.2.2.
Is that possible port color OS based on CM10(4.1.2). As I known, current I717 only has CM10 for stable usage although
it has random reboot.
One more, can the soft virtual key can be truned off? As I717 already has real touch key and the virtual key occupies
the screen and no much usage.
I don't see color OS has more apps and functions than MIUI, but it occupies 400M, why?
As I see, it is another style ROM, but not powerful as MIUI it is.
I check that the color OS is already in V2.0.0 (published on 2014.4.4), but current for I717 is V1.0.0.
I had a bit of trouble getting through the "welcome" screen due to the language but after using it for a day the rom feels pretty stable. I have had one problem though. I'm unable to listen to my headphones through the 3.5mm jack. I get a bit of static feedback through the headphones when I plug them in but the music doesn't play through them. Tried the stock music app and Play Music and no luck. Has anyone else had this problem? Also an option to hide the visual buttons at the bottom would be nice since they take up screen space. Themes work pretty well and look great also.
Overall, I like the animations and my phone runs pretty smooth. Just those little things I noticed.

I didn't check the headphone on 3.5mm jack. Just have a fresh try on this ROM and then switch back to MIUIV5 quickly.
Did you notice the call volume issue? The volume is loudly and you need to press speaker for once back then it back to normal. But it will reproduce again in next call.

Yes I was able to test it out and the first time I called it was pretty loud. I turned the call volume down during the dial tone and the recipient didn't hear an echo anymore through the ear speaker. I hung up and called back. They always hear an echo on the speakerphone but not on the in-ear speaker. I rebooted my phone and tried again and they didn't hear an echo. As long as my call volume is 50% or below they don't hear their voice echoing. I only called one person though so it could be different for another. This was after about 20 minutes of testing.
Rooted by installing flashable supersu binary update. Worked. Installed an incompatible xposed module and it crashed launcher. Love the music place and photo place on launcher screens.(launcher in general was sweet) Would like to get rid of nav bar and receive english interface for color os specific settings. (Example: accounts ask for phone #, name etc in english but agreements and descriptions are in another language making them useless if not deceiving.
Edit: Capacitive keys stayed on as well.

Here's to the beginning:http://en.miui.com/thread-18061-1-1.html
Played around with this again. Showed it off to some co-workers. Didn't kill it with xposed this time. Lol. The following sign in tip helped immensely.
"After the Google sign in screen, ignore the green and blue buttons and press the smaller white characters below. Then uncheck the box on the next screen and hit the big green button."
Just the fore mentioned issues with the earphone plug not issuing sound (sound continues to output through and speaker) and lit capacitive keys bother me.
