Calendar widget completely disappeared from the widgets menu - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I uninstalled the latest version of Google calendar I had and installed an older version from: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/calendar/calendar-201404014-android-apk-download/[1]
Then I couldn't find the calendar widget in the widgets menu nor in the launcher. I'm using Nova launcher. I also tried to see maybe it will show up in another launcher but it doesn't.
I tired to remove the old calendar and install the latest calendar from the store but it still doesn't show up.
I tired to install another app to see if new widgets are added at all and they are added to the menu.
I tried to clean cache and delvic cache and do all sorts of reboot combinations but nothing helped.
I'm running android 4.2 and have root.
I'm out of ideas, help please?

[Q] Market no longer showing protected apps

Hi,
I'm having an issue with android market (3.4.4) no longer showing apps like Launcher Pro, Task Killer etc
Until today it has been working fine (no changes made - to my knowledge).
Rom: Bindroid V1.0 3G P7500
Location: Singapore
Tried so far:
1. Clear Market Data and Cache, reboot
2. Reinstall latest market apk
3. Use Market Enabler to spoof T-Mobile
4. Use Market Enabler to spoof Verizon
5. Replace core build.prop files with vanilla 3.2
Issue still remains...
If I browse through 'Staff Choices for Tablets' I can see and install Go Launcher Ex etc, but if I search Go Launcher Ex I get 'No results found'.
Screen shot of what I'm seeing attached.
Any idea what I need to do to fix??

Today I've tried:
1. Full wipe and reinstall of bindroid
2. Replaced market 3.4.4 with 1.0.28
3. Multiple density settings, 149, 160, 161, 200
All with cache cleans.
Issue remains.... I get no results when searching in the market for apps like launcher pro, circle launcher etc.
Via web market I can see the apps, but my GT-P7500 is greyed out. Depending on the app it will either show, not compatible or unavailable in my location.
I have confirmed on the market help page that the device is still supported and Singapore is on their paid locations approval list.
Via appbrain I can see the apps OK, but when I click install it loads android market and issue remains.
Any ideas on what else I can try?

[Q] Calendar Storage deleted accidentally

Hi, I own a tablet Commodore which I recently rooted. I tried to uninstall some apps to replace them for better ones but I deleted Calendar Storage instead of the calendar app and now I cannot use any calendar app because it says "no calendar found in this device". I've tried reseting the tablet from factory settings but that didnt work. My so is android 4.0.4 ics, any suggestions? There's no rom in the whole interney for this model to try to install it, so the unique solution would be installing Calendar Storage again if it's possible...

For me it failed to install the older versions with the error "Package appears to be invalid". Happened both after only removing the updates in settings and after completely uninstalling the current version with ADB AppControl. Any ideas on how to fix that error would be very appreciated.

If you have completely removed the default and only launcher, Poco launcher, from your phone, you will have problems. Here's how I solved the similar launcher problem I had before ; Install any other free launcher and choose it by default. Then re-install the Poco launcher from google play store or the link or from any other source and select it as the default launcher. Now you can completely uninstall the other launcher if you want.

That's how I tried to do it, I forgot the mention that I used another launcher (Nova, in this case) as default while uninstalling POCO Launcher so as not to end up without a working launcher. However, even while using Nova as default I couldn't install any of the other version of POCO Launcher I tested, all I got was the error message above.

The last thing that comes to my mind is to install the x64 bit Poco launcher apk. Because sometimes i get this error too when i try to install any x32 bit apk.
I'm not completely a developer but i think horizontal recent apps menu is so bad. Vertical was way better than horizontal but just as an advice, put an option for this and optimize it.
