[Q] Lenovo K900 - Broken glass - Lenovo K900

Hi, I'm new here.
Couple days ago I dropped my phone and now my Lenovo K900 has broken glass. Everything is ok with touch screen, I just have visual discomfort when I'm using it. If touch screen is fine, do I have to replace glass with digitizer (around 50$) or just new glass (15$) will be good?
Second question: is it a risky operation? We don't have an authorised support for K900 in our country, so I would have to give this job to regular phone service.
Thanks for the help guys.

broken glass
did you replace the screen ?
I am from sweden.. k900 did not came to sweden..
I replaced my screen for 1 week ago...

i just did it... digitizer, not only the glass.
It is a risky operation but there's a good russian video out there : lenovo k900 digitizer in google and then the 3th video. Begin is orange. (cannot post the link because I'm a junior member)
maybe not related, but since yesterday my microphone stopped working during calls only.
For me not a hardware issue, so you could give it a try.
Don't forget to remove your sim card slot when removing your broken digitizer!
good luck and send me a message when you encounter problems.

And if I need to buy the touchscreen, do I have to Buy the LCD part also ?
And Apporx how much will it cost ?

i used to have the same problem with yours, maybe your LCD has a problem not your touchscreen.. Mine was replaced by a new LCD....

[Q] digitizer and screen replacement

hey fellow modders,
i recently dropped my legend on a trek resulting in a cracked digitizer and screen. for replacement i was looking for cheap broken legends on ebay to replace the broken screen and digitizer and came across two items which say
"ALTHOUGH THE PHONE DOES SEND & RECEIVE CALLS
THE TOUCH SCREEN FOR THE DROP DOWN BOXES SOMETIMES
WORKS & SOMETIMES DOESNT, HENCE SPARES OR REPAIR."
if the digitizer and screen is sourced from such a phone will my perfect (was perfect before it was dropped) legend also inherit the mentioned problem?? apparently this is a common problem with legends.
Thanks very much and mod on XDA!!

Cracked screen - solution?

Hello people!
I just dropped my phone display first into the floor.
The only visible damage is a tiny arced crack at the right edge of the screen, but that was enough to screw up the whole touch screen because the phone seems to activate touch around the crack, which leads me to my first question:
1 - Is there a way to disable part of the touch screen?
I can live without touch in the area of the damage, just not without any working touch
2 - Is there a way to hardware test using a PC to evaluate the extent of the damage?
3 - Do I buy just the screen, the screen + LCD or screen + LCD + frame?
4 - How do I know which OEM of Ebay to buy? Can I trust the ones saying it's an original Sony Screen + LCD?
Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions. I do believe there are more people out there with same or very similar questions.

in this case no, Z2 LCD display is seperateed from the glass
you can weirdly find glass and screen put as one but thats some sort of odd scam :/

Thank you so much for giving me the answer I wanted to hear. Unfortunately I can't find any videos on how to do this for the Z2. Have you done it? I'm curious to know whether the display is allover glued to the digitizer as in the case of the Z1 or if it's just glued around the corners of the screen as in the M2. Mind you that this is simply observations I've made from watching youtube videos, so the above mentioned information might not be correct.
man, u cannot separate the display and digitizer . its a single glass. for Z2. u need to replace the single glass
You could try finding parts from aliexpress, try looking through the feedbacks before ordering.
Or if you are not too bothered by the cracks you could just put on a screen protector or a tempered glass screen protector.
Try going into youtube and search witrigs for teardown and repair videos.
Wish you good luck! ?

Hi guys,
My Screen cracked, i order a new screen. I install it right with instructions. LCD screen works about 1 minutes, but now the phone has so called ghost touches.
What might be a problem? LDC-screen is broken?

Yeah!
I did take a chance and purchased a new glass without display. Good news is I never got an opportunity to use it, so I might be able to return it. Bad new is I'm now buying a front glass and lcd.
Even though it might technically be possible to just exchanging the front screen, I would say it's highly improbable that you will successfully do so.
Judged by my level of technical tinkering, I would say that a vast majority of the people in this forum will probably fail in exchanging front glass without exchanging lcd.
I'm not saying this to put anyone down, but I'm giving you the advice I wish I would've gotten before getting over-confident.
So for goodness sake,
BUY FRONT GLASS+DIGITIZER+LCD, and save yourself both time, headache, and possibly money
Hi, i'm waiting for my Z2 replacement screen and i have a question for those who have changed it, does the sensitivity of the touch screen is the same like the original? I mean the option that you can use the phone with gloves...
Thanks!
How much did it cost u, repairing the screen

[GUIDE] Change broken LCD

Hi guys!
A few months ago my phone dropped and my LCD Screen got broken. I ordered a new screen but I cannot find a tutorial on how to repair it!
I am totally a disaster what phone repairing belongs, so does anyone want to make a picture by picture guide?
I would really appreciate it!:good:
Yeah, I'm just like you. I contacted Umidigi support, they told me to send them a video of my broken glass, then they'll help me.
