Congrats Buddy!

In the next build we ditch some AOSP apps and may add a couple small treats

First @DespairFactor nice job on releasing the rom! Quick question. Did you get SuperSU added in? That is something I am currently working on.

Haven't flashed myself yet, but looking at the source (android_build/core) it seems to be E.

I flashed this and everything ran smoothly just in case anyone else wants to know. Nice job DF

Working great for me no issues thanks

The gapps do, but I don't believe this would matter, as CFXP does not have a phablet UI mode to utilize the P.A gapps ability.
CFXP is designed to be as close to the stock AOSP experience as possible at the moment.

WTF! Why is this rom so fast! I was mindblown! I changed the animations to 0.5 like I always do and I was amazed! you may say that its because of the animations that gave the impression that this rom is fast but no! there is absolutely no loading time! It shows up in an instant. Wow. Using the stock kernel because I cannot flash any other kernel because it gets stuck st the bootscreen. But wow. I have tried almost all the roms here and the speed blows them all. I like featurepacked roms but I was intrigued by this and tried it for my flashing needs. I did not expect this speed at all. Great job synergye and teamEOS! I am hoping I can flash other kernels in the future though! Thank you!
Hell yeah ! I was waiting for this since soo looong
And a Rom devlopped by Synergy and maintained by Roach can only be awesome !
Waited for this since SR15. This will sure be a good day! Thanks a lot to all devs involved
Did anyone of you successfully flash other kernels? all I want is to change the colors. The rom is perfect for me.

[ROM] [4.4.2] [HAMMERHEAD] UNOFFICIAL Nightly Carbon ROM Builds ONLY

Important
Managed to lose my Nexus 5 at the weekend so without a phone right now but if you guys want I will still do the builds but I cannot test them.
As Carbon ROM nighties are a bit intermittent I have decided to start compiling my own from their source code and will post the urls here.
The usual caveats apply these unofficial builds are totally unsupported and I accept zero responsibility for any damage done when flashing these's roms.
These are STOCK builds with ZERO modifications to Carbon's Code. ALL credit goes to Carbon and I am only compiling these builds because I am impatient and have the need to flash everyday!!
No more dropbox for the nightlies as they have suspended all public links due to too much traffic so mega and androidfilehost only from now on
Nightly 3-13-2014 (This has changes from 3-12-2014 as well as the build I did yesterday did not have these in)
Added ability to flip phone to mute/reject a call
Alot of complex fixes for many devices suffering from phone FC’s. There may still be data issues overall, but phone FC’s should be fixed
Various tweaks

Nightly 3-14-2014
Added option to disable camera shutter sound (this is illegal in some states, make sure you are following your local laws regarding this topic)
Added option to set screen timeout to “never” in quick tiles
Added back Smart Pulldown for the statusbar. This adds the ability to directly open the Quick Settings panel when there are no notifications present in the notification panel.
Added the ability to set day and week on the data usage graph instead of only months.

Daleski, this build is much smoother and faster than any build to date. I'm not sure if it's your linaro integration or because of the recently new R2? . Really nice work bro. Have you thought of compiling with Sabre mod?

[INFO][REF]CarbonROM Nightlies for MANTA

Disclaimer: I am NOT a developer, nor the maintainer, which is why this is in General. I am making this thread at John Kirk's(CarbonROM Dev and maintainer) request.
Let's get to the point, Carbon is back on Manta! Starting with 5/31, Nightlies will be built for the manta. There is already a test build released by him, link is here.
http://www.xinterloperx.com/files/android/Samsung/manta/carbon/
Downloads: https://carbonrom.org/downloads/?device=manta&type=nightly
Changelog Page(GDocs and Gerrit): https://carbonrom.org/changes/
Current bugs(FROM Nightly 5/31)
Carbon Fibers is borked, certain things are in the wrong spot, or are invisible
Microphone doesn't work
You can send bugs/logs to John Kirk directly(email is in the About Carbon section in the ROM). I'll post issues here as well as people report them.
On a personal note, I used Carbon extensively on my LS980, and it's once again my DD on my hammerhead. Glad to see the manta back in the saddle.

I know I'm a month late but I have the same problem with the latest 6/29. Looks like I'll be switching to another ROM because it looks like an old problem which hasn't been fixed.

New Kernel fo G2!!

Hey guys,
First off. Mahdi rom is Amazing! I love all the features and it had just the right amount of features for my new G2! Thanks Doc for maintaining this for us!
Second, I am a kernel dev and am working on my own kernel for the G2. I have essentially made my base Savoca's Furnace Kernel (With his permission of course) and will be adding in features as I go. Currently I build for the Moto G but wanted to buy a higher end device and love this phone. I have the D800 (AT&T) so as it stands I only have a test kernel for the D800/JDI. You may be able to use Savoca's new panel tool that you flash after flashing the kernel to swap screen support. I would love for some others to test it out and let me know. I will be bringing a different perspective to kernel Dev'n than normal. I like to be hands on about the process and to instigate discussion so others can learn. Let me know if anyone is interested.I will be building for all variants that Furnace kernel supports.
Note to ALL: I will open an official thread when I am satisfied with testing. Thanks for your interest! Hope I can bring something new to the G2!
Right now I have added:
Custom Hotplug from Blechd0se (Moto G) Falcon Hotplug - Ultra simplified and efficient.
Sl(auo)b optimizations
frandom
ETC
Check source for more indepth info!
Just pm me if you are interested. Everything looks to be going pretty good so I should be opening a thread pretty soon. Remember this is still in Beta. Still I would love to hear from others out there. Thanks!

Not 100% sure but give it a try. Should hurt anything. I am fairly new to the G2 and don't know every single in and out yet. I do know that the source base is pretty fractured but I am hoping to bridge the gap a bit. Let me know so I can let others know in the future. Thanks!

Great, Thanks for the info, I will most likely be removing it anyways. I have inherited Savoca's source and am laying mine down ontop. He did all the amazing groundwork that will allow me to support numerous devices much much sooner. Thanks and let me know how it continues to work for you!
@RenderBroken booted up just fine. Running smooth. I'll report back tomorrow as well. Thanks again for building for us. ?
Render, since I cleaned the kernel and left it stock I'm getting the SOD. If I let the screen go off and try to turn the screen back on it just lights up black. Tried and tried but just a black screen. Unfortunately I had to go back for now. Can't wait to try it once it gets cleaned up.

I looked at Savoca source and it appeared to have no FM support in audio driver, same as Mahdi now.
I'll copy my post from Mahdi thread, in case your interested in enabling FM:
I've concluded that sound/soc/msm/msm8974.c needs to be patched with the "#ifdef CONFIG_SND_FM_RADIO" code seen here: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_lge_msm8974/blob/cm-11.0/sound/soc/msm/msm8974.c
Unless you're up for that, I'll presume I'll try it myself.
Any tips for kernel building for a JDI LS980 ? I built a few Android kernels in 2013, but never even tried flashing them.
That said, I've been doing embedded linux professionally since 1997.
Thanks !
1 question. Why didn't you post the kernel in one of the development sections??
Transmitted via Geass
At first it could be in Original Dev section. I can test something on d802 LGD. @mikereidis u have a G2? if yes then it's great to see more devs here

hi, thank you for supporting our beloved g2 we all appreciate it, i just have a request. you see , only the Qremote can control the IR on our device, lg didnt use the real android open source drivers for it . so we cant use apps like smartIR whereas samsung n htc are compatible. im just suggesting if you can try and implement open source IR drivers to the g2 ? so that we can use all these apps that utilize that api i know this is gonna be an insanely though part as you'd have to figure out which hw IR we are using and then implement a compatible driver for it. but im just suggesting that this is perhaps the only bad part of the g2 till now

I will go ahead and push the latest changes and post link. Also I am fairly new to the G2 scene and just how fractured the source code is for it. I would love to take a look at this if its simple enough to add in. I am not against trying though. If you could, remind me when I open up the main thrad in the next few days. I am heading to the beach with my wife and son so will not be able to do much in the next 2 days but when I get back and I get some good word about the builds, I will open the thread and kick in to overdrive.

Weird, I am pretty certain I build to LGD variant. Sorry brother. Try using Savoca's panel changer that you flash after the kernel. I even used Savoca's build script so not sure what the problem is but I am pretty sure that it's not a SoD problem you are having but a panel issue.

Developers need to build and match the camera from scratch on the M9.
The reason: We don't have GPE M9 to pull the camera blobs from there and easily merge it.

Someone quouted in candy5 thread about it to the mainteiner and he said that there is a progress regarding the camera.
Great to see slim rom team here on the m9. Used them a lot on my galaxy s4 so can vouch for how awesome their roms are

Yeah, looks like you're right. My bad
On a side note: Touchscreen isn't working for Max1187x touchscreen. I believe candyrom is the only so far that has this issue fixed.
Awesome to See slim for the m9.
Sadly I need a working camera. I'll jump on it right the cam is working
So, I'm really glad to see slim for my m9. Here are things I recognized on the first run. Off-screen gestures like dt2w are not working.

Oh, and isn't the layer theme engine integrated?
Other than camera, are there any other bugs? Things that cause reboots etc?

The things I mentioned above your post. And no reboots. I had Google service force closes after I flashed the add-on for multi-dpi support. Then I flashed again without it and everything is working great.
