[Q] SD card containing Aromafm cannot be read in recovery mode on onda tablet V719 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Problem - I have a Onda tablet V719 that has its pattern locked. I don't know the pattern to unlock, nor do I remember the google account information to unlock it. USB debugging is NOT turned on so I cannot reach it via ADB, and it's not setup as a disk drive so simply attaching to a PC isn't a solution either.
Possible Solution - After lots of research, I've found a possible solution where I A - Mount and storage>> Mount Everything>> Mount System>> Mount data>>Mount afs>>Mount Preload>>Mount SDcard>> Mount ExternalSD>> go back>> Install zip from SDcard>>Choose zip from external SDcard and install Aromafm in Android System Recovery.
Reason the above is not working - I've downloaded each file, placed them on a micro SD card via an adapter, and put them into the phone. After booting into the recovery console and going to the Update via SD Card option, I do not see any of the files on the SD card. I've gone as far as to boot the phone into recovery without the SD card installed and I literally see the same data. in short - I cannot get the SD card files to show up in the recovery console (this is a stupid problem to have and I'm hoping I'm just missing something).

I accidentally formatted my g-tablet...

I accidentally formatted my g-tablet (via clockwork)...and there is no ROM to flash on the root of the tablet itself. I can still boot into recovery but I cannot flash anything since I haven't put a rom on there. Is there a way to flash from the SD card? If not, how can I get something on the tab's internal drive to flash from there? I can't access the tab's internal drive at all from my computer when I do POWER while holding VOL DOWN - I don't have the drivers and I am unable to find them (APX that is, win7 64bit).
I don't have the tablet infront of me, but you can mount your sd to usb mode, and copy a rom to it, all from clockwork. So should should be fine.
You can download the driver here:
developer.download.nvidia.com/tegra/files/android_tegra_froyo_20101105.msi
In clockwork its something like Mounts and Storage. Go there, then mount usb at the bottom.
Now it will pop up on your computer as a removable drive just as if it was booted up. Copy your rom over and unmount, install from SD.

[Q] Phone doesn't mount SD-Card, but I can mount it in the recovery mode

Hi,
When the (HTC Desire) phone is powered up it is unable to mount the SD card, and I am unable to have it mounted from the "Settings > SD card & Storage" menu. Having said that, the micro SD card can be accessed from a computer (when plugged in directly to the computer, i.e. no issue with the card), and moreover, when I am in the recovery mode, I can have it mounted and browse it. By the way, the card could be accessed from the phone until I downgraded the O/S, and managed to have it rooted.
When the phone is running normally, and connected to the USB port of a laptop, the laptop does recognize a device connected (can even do ADB), but I believe because the SD card is not mounted, the phone does not offer the option to make the card appear as a disk drive for computer access.
I am running the original (RUU, Telstra) Android 2.2 (2.26.841.2) on a HTC desire, after I had it "S-OFF'ed". After reloading the original 2.2, I had it rooted.
The micro SD card is a 2GB one, with approx 1.5GB formatted as FAT16 (contains typical file and photos), and 0.5 GB as EXT3 (contains nothing at the moment).
HBoot: 6.93.1002
S-Off (thanks to Revolutionary)
Recovery mode: ClockworkMod v5.0.2.0 (I manually loaded it)
I have searched online for solutions, and have not been able to have it fixed. Others seem to have different issues to that of mine. Usually, they cannot mount the SD-card at all (not even from recovery), or their SD card just needed to be reformatted. I think I have indicated that these do not appear to be relevant to my issue at all. I have also tried "Fastboot oem enableqxdm 0", and it made no difference.
I look forward to your kind responses and feedback.
Thank you for your attention.

Welcome to the forum.
I had the same problem once. The solution is very simple but annoying: Many Android phones are unable to mount SD cards formatted with tools like MiniTool Partition Wizard. Reformat the SD card using CWM (ClockWorkMod) recovery and everything will be fine.
Good luck.
It worked

Dear friend,
Thank you so much for your simple tip. It worked! I felt so dumb for not trying it out myself. I guess I was tired of trying things without considering moving my data back and forth. Once more thank you.

Well, this IS annoying. I had the same problems and copied my data three times (~ 12 GB). So I can understand that.
Good evening,
I have also the same prroblem.
Is there any manual - instructions that I could follow in order to solve the issue with the CWM?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] SD Card won't mount

I was having some issues with my phone and figured I'd do a full wipe Internal and External -- So, I wipe the SD card and then xfer the Rom files over and then wipe the Internal and install the Rom. Install went fine but I noticed shortly after it was constantly rebooting about 20secs after booting up. So, I was going to try another Rom, but this time when I plugged the phone in (usb > mac) -- it couldn't recognize the SD card. So I try the windows laptop, same thing. So, I formatted the SD card with the computer. Now, TWRP still won't mount the SD and any files I put on the SD card, TWRP doesn't see it. Any ideas here?
I tried this from another post but it didn't help:
Fixed. Here's what I did.
Mounted via TWRP
Reformatted drive in Windows (desktop)
Copied new ROM zip to drive
copied boot.img (from rom zip) to drive
Wiped, Installed ROM via TWRP
Rebooted to bootloader
Applied boot.img via fastboot
Rebooted
worked.

Have you tried another SD card to see if the issue persists?
Sent from my HTC EVO 4G LTE
I used the Transformer to format the SD and used AirDroid to xfer over rom files -- I noticed TWRP sees it under SDCard2 now. I got it installed but something I noticed that is odd is that when I plug it into the Mac or PC it's seeing the older files I had on it. When using the explorer in droid or airdroid it only sees Carbon's rom file on it. No idea what's going on.

[Q] ADB Cannot find CWM?!?

Hi guys,
I have a huge issue and cannot fix it ( specially when I need my tablet for saturday ). I recently tried to install cyanogen mod 10 on my Archos 101 G9 Turbo using CWM v6.0.3.1
It's now just booting into the CWM and nowhere else.
Things I've tried:
Connecting via ADB ( get onto that inna minute ) ( failed )
Accessing External SD Card ( failed )
First thing I tried:
I installed ADB on my pc and tried to connect to my tablet to try and push [email protected] but upon starting ADB's server up and typing "adb usb" or "adb devices" it comes up as either:
"error: device not found"
or
"List of devices attached" with nothing after that.
This is all with the "Install zip from sideload" enabled in CWM.
The Second thing I tried:
When I first tried to access my external sd card, it wasn't having any of it. I mounted the external_sd in CWM and it didn't show up so after looking on the internet, I found that my version doesn't support anything other than FAT32 and my sd card was formatted to FAT, so I reformatted to FAT32, re-put [email protected] onto the card and booted CWM back up
Then after re mounting the external_sd, and looking for it, I couldn't find any way of accessing the external sd card.
I really don't know what's going on and more importantly how to fix it!
Hope you guys can help!
Thanks.
Jamie.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3 - bootloop - recover photos

I have problem with my Samsung, I've bee using it for some time with CM 11 - currentlly there is latest snapshot installed.
Anyway phone started showing some issues few days ago - but today it is just stuck on the boot.
I can get either into download mode and ClockWorkMod Recovery, but can't get ADB to connect to pull files I need.
I didn't also find my photos in CWM backup files (although I cannot extract all of them).
In CWM I can mount USB Storage - but this is external card, where there are no photos. They are in /sdcard/0/, but I can't force it to mount this as USB Storage.
What can I do? Any help and hints appreciated.
@Delwing: you can try to replace CWM by TWRP and access sdcard0 by its built-in filemanager. But probably your system or partitions are gone, then it won't work either.
When I go to install zip in CWM I can browse the directories I need, so I will give it a shot. Thanks for suggestion.
Although copying files to sd card throguh TWRP didn't work at least I see device in adb console, so now I am copying files to my computer
Thanks a lot!
@Delwing: you're welcome - you figured it out by yourself
