X86 and X64 refer to Intels x86 architecture and the 64 bit extension AMD64 (commonly referred to as x64). The X64 shown in the screenshot has nothing to do with the ROM being 32 or 64 bit. The ROM will be 64 bit only.

Yea. I should have figured it out.. thank you.
One question, how can I flash this rom on my G920F, I still can't find a valid custom recovery anywhere

I know that but the first time, the O.P. wrote "Download ROM 32Bit and Download 64Bit". This is what cheated me.

Is it possible to have the rom from.thw galaxy s6 edge to the galaxy s6 normal ? It's the same specs

Or possible to somehow port the edge features to the regular S6?

The arm64 vs arm versions mean that the odexed source was taken from the arm vs arm64 folder. The files are duplicated on the S6 for each arch in the framework. So the arm64 version has all of the odex sourced from those versions in framework. This was the same puzzle I was looking at on the t-mobile variant. I suspect we will need a kernel source before we can use these (maybe just on tmo variant?) unless someone can patch the kernel binary to disable selinux.

Looks like you guys need a updater-script? I assume ROMs still use them. Also are the /system/app files always in folders now? Seems odd. Wonder if the Galaxy S5 script could be edited to work..

I'm working on G920FXXU1AOCV firmware (official)

Afaik, updater-script is still used. The apps in /system/app are in folders as of Lollipop. Same with /system/priv-app. I think this has to do with ART being the default runtime, but I could be wrong.

YOU CAN NOT DUAL BOOT THIS.
This is a project page to get the Galaxy SII i9100 back to a tier 2 device,
it is currently using the latest Firefox OS source code from the v1.1.1.
We've done it guys! We have reached the first milestone, BETA! This ROM is now considered stable enough for daily use.
- Microphone (needs testing!)
- Wrong DPI
- Hardware acceleration
- Camera
- Others I may not have discovered yet.
Installation Instructions said:
1. Go to cwm recovery and do a complete backup of your phone.
2. Extract the content of firefoxos_beta_v1_10102013.zip file to your hard drive, using your preferred rar/zip archiver (ex: WinRAR)
3. From your phone, go to mounts and storage, and select the last option, mount USB storage.
4. Copy the folder you extracted from the archive 2013-10-10.16.12.39 to your sdcard in the folder clockworkmod/backup (if you don't have that folder, create it)
5. Wipe data/factory reset (make sure you have a backup)
6. From your phone go to backup and restore -> restore -> 2013-10-10.16.12.39
7. reboot system now
Click to collapse
As a final note DO FRICKIN' NOT format your /system, /data or /cache partitions
through the Firefox OS CWMR if your device is susceptible to a eMMC brickbug.
You have been warned.
This release is purely for testing, I need to know what does and doesn't work.
But I'm no programmer, fixes may take a while to be released unless others decide
to contribute.

No worries, I'm happy to be working on it
Preliminary/quick sneak peek into the alpha...
The Setup Wizard cannot seem to detect the Time Zone and whatnot in the specific section, but the time adjusted itself after the phone was setup
Messages work (send and receive)
Sound notifications work. Not sure for music/audio.
Importing of contacts via vcf works
Notification Center/Status Bar is laggy.
No built in screen off when in call ( I assume proximity is not working?)
Calls do not seem to work
Lock/unlock/power button works
Menu and Back button are useless (I assume we can use these somehow?)
For an alpha, this is good progress. If we get HW acceleration working, it would be much bearable. As much as I want to be a tester for it, I'm afraid that will have to wait. Good luck with the project!
EDIT @abtekk once I find the time, I'll try to setup a dualboot with it as well and see what I can do.

You can dual boot with any kernel that has the dualboot feature. Siyah is the recommended, though.
Ok i will try as secondary rom
I tried with the latest Dori 9.41 stable, and it doesn't seem to boot to the Firefox partition properly. Needless to say, I'll have to try Siyah later.
EDIT: Seems that prealpha 2 is way smaller than 1. Why is this so? Do we flash it on top of alpha 1 or is it good to go for clean flash?

Dualboot
General info
System files (/system) are installed on the HIDDEN partition () so they DON'T conflict with CyanogenMod 10.2 ROM.
I use CyanogenMod Kernel with no modifications, all dualboot stuff is based on initramfs (indeed is based on Siyahkernel approach).
How to dual-boot
It's a rudimentary mechanism so far. You have to: adb shell, and type (no matter where ROM you are):
If you want to boot into CM10.2 - Note: If you don't have installed CM10.2, please don't do this!!:
Code:
# cr.sh 1
If you want to boot into FirefoxOS - Note: it can be any number different from 1, i.e: cr.sh 3, cr.sh 5:
Code:
# cr.sh 2
Your device will reboot in this very moment, and will boot into the selected ROM.
The first time, FirefoxOS ROM will be booted by default.
Downloads
I'm providing a CWM installable .zip so you can test it without having to build the whole system.
File: ffos-sgs2-jb-22-Feb-2014.zip
File: ffos-sgs2-jb-30-Jun-2014.zip

Installing
Boot into recovery mode with CWM.
Make a backup (as always).
Save your backup in other place than your device (no matter what partition you are using), please.
adb push ffos-sgs2-jb-version-2014.zip /emmc
Install zip from sdcard
Insall zip from internal sdcard
Select the .zip file
Install it!!!
Click to collapse
In case you want to go further and compile everything from scratch, I would suggest you to see my G+ post with detailed instructions on how to build it by yourself.
Of course, all my work is available under my Github account.
Features at a glance:
Dual boot with CM10.2 (if you have installed it)
Rooted
Adb Insecure
FirefoxOS v1.4
What's not working:
Flickering graphics
Camera
Mobile data
Wifi on i777
Hardware Home button on i777
Do not expect a very stable version!
Thanks to
Cyanogenmod, cause it's amazing work on this device despite Samsung, I'm using your kernel.
Siyahkernel, cause my dualboot solution is inspired by yours.
All the people helped me testing very first releases, risking their devices .
Enjoy!

All the instructions are in the first post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49484692&postcount=1
If you want dualboot (it's not mandatory) you cannot install CM10.2 after installing ffos.zip, cause the boot.img (zImage on SGS2) I modifed would be overwritten with the one from CyanogenMod, wich is not dualbootable.
So:
1º - Install CM10.2
2º - Install FFOS

Can you release the "leaked" version? That one is more stable and even has google play store preinstalled. It is even more stable than this official release when it comes to running games and stuff.
Also, would you kindly upload it to somewhere that is not mega. I hate the god damn mother hugging, son of a biscuit website. No support for accelerator support, no nothing. And when I use the browser download mode, it always fails at 580mb or something.
can you zip the img file using ultra commpresion sir??

Thanks. The leaked version is very easy to find. Its quite popular after people found out that the official builds had no google play and were also very unstable. Funny, how an older alpha is better than newer alpha.
Also, can you make screen recording work on it? I just cant make it work no matter how hard I try.
Thanks.

Thanks for your work on that
Alpha official and leaked system.img are available for download now. Leaked version has already Google Play services. I will try to upload some where else. I can't upload to my Google Drive. Need some more space.

Nope. Failed.
So, I think I can officially confirm that screen recording does not work on any android os based on x86 based kernel.
This runs good on my MicroCenter TW-801 even have touchscreen.

hat
For me it happens regardless of the browser, hell even some apps are not working because of that. Like Imagine (instagram app) and even facebook don't work. Any ideas how can I fix it?
No clue. Just been playing with this thing for a couple hours. Haven't tried any real heavy apps yet on it. You've tried clearing caches and stuff I suppose?

Shouldn't I be able to use this on my sm-237p?
From what I read, only difference is that the 237p is Sprint varaint. I'm not worried about using LTE.

Think it has a different processor and maybe modem besides no cellular calling on the 237 right?...check the general sections there are some boards on this...235 and 235y are GSM variants cannot work on Sprint and vice versa 237 on say ATT or Tmobile

Thanks for this, exactly what I was looking for! Been trying to get Xposed working but the version by wanam just gives me bootloops - any idea if there's a compatible version out there?
Cheers

I've still not been able to get Xposed to work.
Also, is anyone able to confirm that charging and usb-otg can function simultaneously? I'm trying to work out whether or not mine isn't working is down to the ROM or my adapter.
All is good, except Xposed isn't working... hope it gets supported or we get a fix soon.

No it will not work on that device
@ambasadii Thank you for the great lite ROM.
I was on XXU1BPC2 previously and having low storage problem. Decided to downgrade to this rom after failing to find root solution for XXU1BPC2.
Hope newer firmware will be rooted soon so that this ROM can get a update.
I have a problem with google account in this rom.
Cannot create google account because the phone thinks it cannot make a connection with google servers.
Any solutions?
Edit:
For few hours of testing and frustration I found the following method that worked in my case:
1. Remove google account from accounts, if you have it there.
2. Remove Google Play Services updates and it's cache.
3. (Propably not necessary) wipe dalvik and cache in twrp.
4. Reboot and add google account to accounts.
Can i install this one over CM13?!
Ps. Can i install bootloader/modem through my existing twrp?! And do i need to install it in the first place?!
Thanks,
Jazz

Hi.
is there a chance to reupload this ROM?
Thanks,

Has anyone tried to install on this rom viper4android?
I tried and did not want to work.
After downloading and installing the libraries, it asks to restart and still after rebot shows that the libraries have not been installed.

I made this one last night but wasn't able to get it working. Either I did it wrong, following phhusson wiki. Or there is more to it than putting it in /system/vendor/overlay and changing the permissions.

If you have Magisk installed, that's an easy way to install an alternative overlay apk, otherwise putting it in /system/vendor/overlay should work if the overlay is valid. Here's the overlay I made for myself along with the Magisk module I created in order to install it.

Custom AP is inconvenient
You should try TWRP or stock recovery path with fastbootd found
