A temporary remedy for No Service/Loss of Network Signal on AOSP 5.1 - Mi 3 General

Hey there guys! So, I know everybody might be suffering the same fate as I have on 5.1. Signal Loss when rebooting the phone. Well, I might have found a remedy for that and here's how you do it:
When you loose signal, don't go and do multiple restarts on your phone. Instead, activate Airplane mode first and then do a reboot. When your phone has booted, turn off Airplane mode, wait for a couple seconds and Wallah! Your Network signal is back.

It happened after I flash my phone with cyanogenmod ROM, i flashed a couple of google apps and a custom kernel. I THINK when i clicked a certain CPU speed in overclocking, it kinda stuck and restarted and had no signal at all... I flashed it again a couple of times even the beta cyanogenmod and dardroidXD, factory reset, wipe data, cache, remove battery. i flashed it with the original firmware with different version but still no avail.. Do you have any idea to solve my problem?
I appreaciate your help, thanks!

Wi-Fi 'stuck' then can't disable or re-enable Wi-Fi

Hi all,
I've started to have an issue with my HTC One X+ where it won't automatically connect to (any) Wi-Fi.
If I then go to settings, Wi-Fi appears as 'Disconnected' but the slider button says 'On'.
If I try and turn it off, it wont turn off. Then 'settings' ends up hanging.
The only way around it is a reboot, but this happens every day now, seems to normally happen when I return home and expect it to drop 3G and connect up to my homes Wifi (as it always has done?).
I really don't want to do a factory reset... I can't say that I've changed anything to cause this...
Does anyone else have the same issue and have you been able to resolve it?
Thanks
I'm having the same problem, but for me I know it didn't start happening until after I did the update. Not sure how to fix either.
Are you both on stock ROM?
I had similar problem after OTA update from AT&T. It was worse than yours since I wasn't able to enable WIFI at all, it just stuck on the "turning on" state. I was able to fix the problem by re-flashing the boot.img following this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2235248
Btw my phone is rooted but running the stock rom.
Hope this helps.

Yes I'm stock and locked right now because I have some problems I need to return the phone under warranty for, and I have the problem where it is just stuck trying to turn on. Thanks for the link, but until I switch this one under warranty I don't want to do any modifications to void the warranty. As soon as I get the new one I will be unlocking and rooting it immediately, not doing so is killing me right now.
Well just reboot in bootloader mode and flash the correspondent RUU. You know how to find the good version?

Galaxy S2 screen stuttering then crashing

Dear xda-community,
my galaxy S2 is driving me nuts for some days because of a very weird problem.
After flashing NeatROM 5.3.1 some weeks ago my phone screen suddenly started to stutter for some seconds with losing signal strength. After losing the signal it stuttered again but suddenly crashed and I couldn't start it up again unless I remove the battery and place it back again. Then I went back to Stock ROM after my phone bootlooped for no reason. As I tested stock ROM to ensure the problem does not occur, the screen stuttering happened once again. I just flashed JellySNAP ROM and thought it was over, but here I am with the same problem.
The odd thing is that it only occurs as soon as my phone is losing signal, searching for an available network to connect or going into airplane mode and waiting some moments.
What I did:
Reflash ROM
Wipe cache + Dalvik cache
Full wiped before flashing Custom ROM
Wipe everything and flash Stock ROM
But none of these things helped me fix my problem.
Is there any solution to this problem or does anyone have similar problems?

Clean fully using GS2RomNuke @hawkerpaul then flash a new rom - it's got to be worth a try :good:
Try nuke scrpt. If that doesn't work either, then it must be a hardware issue, which means service center.

Just tried this out and flashed my ROM again. Somehow froze just right after boot, so I restarted it. But then it stuttered after going into Wi-Fi-Connection screen at the start. Luckily no crash, but I am still worrying about my phone... Gonna report after one day of usage

yep - reflash stock and use trianglaway to reset flash counter to zero and take back under warranty:good:
Okay guys, thank you very much for helping me out! :good: It looks like the problem still occurs, but at least I know when. Best example: I had about 28% battery lifetime left as this once happened. I just rebooted it and it suddenly told me that I only had 1% of battery left. So I think this is because of my faulty battery stat or even my faulty batteries. Gonna try a new battery just for reference.

Well... I wish I could, the problem is, that I got it as a present some months ago and the real owner of this phone bought the Korean SHW-M250S version some years ago so I don't have any warranty anymore... Perhaps I should just use it until it dies (or the new motorola block phone project is released )

Mobile data not getting connected. PLEASE HELP!

Hi,
I recently upgraded my Lenovo A6000 phone from stock to RR. Mobile data gets disconnected after sometimes. Same happens for RR in my Moto X pure. I have to restart the phone in order to get the data back ON or sometimes aeroplane mode works. In *#*4636#*#* hidden menu, the data connection status showing is "connecting" rather than "connected". Signal strength is good. Tried resetting APNs, Dalvik/Cache reset, and nothing works. The network still gets to "connecting" mode at random times. Any solution to this? Any way to debug this? I'm fed up with restarting the phone. :crying:
Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

The solution to this problem is the corrupted kernel. Flash the rom once again and then flash a kernel. This should fix the error.

You are a life saver. I was scared to work with kernel files. First few tries failed after playing with modem, modemst1, st2. Had kept backup. In the end putting back fsg file did the trick. LTE is stable now in my Lenovo A6000.
Waiting for VoLTE patch for Moto X Pure xt1572 (For Jio of course). Will fix it after that and update you guys. Thank you

Not registered on network

Good day guys.
I have a problem that I think is very common, however I haven't found a solution yet. I recently update my S6 edge (925I - latam) via odin to Nougat, everything was cool but I can't do or receive both calls or sms. I have cellular signal, however there is not registered with the network carrier.
I already flash modem.bin from older firmwares and do not work. Sometimes I loose cellular connection or stay the same, with signal but not registered. I tried other possible solutions like airplane mode and reboot, flashing roms, connect only via 2G or 3G, nothing have worked. My sim is not corrupted and the imei is just fine, without report or related.
I hope you can help me. Thank you very much.

Same issue for me.
Tried:
OTA update
Odin update - installing new stock firmware (with different software version)
Factory reset
Installing TWRP + LinageOS beta
Replacing the sim slot in a service
Nothing worked. Anybody?
Look in settings > status
Do you guys have an IMEI?
This happend to me 2-3 times last 30 days... sometimes I have signal but not registred on network, sometimes there's even no signal, etc...
I also tried several things to resolve the problem...flashing modem, reset dialer, changing network mode, enabling airpalne mode, another SIM card, etc... For the 1st time, flashing modem helped... but 2 days ago when this happened again flashing modem did not help...then I tried changing network mode and I got signal again... last night it also lost signal and today I changed network mode to 4g/3g/2g auto and it got signal again, then switched back to 2g and it's fine till now...
Hope this will not repeat....if does, coulb be very annoying thing...

Bro, download some older firmware from the one you have from sammobile and exctract it...there you'll find modem.bin
At last, I couldn't fix my s6...so I sold it...then the guy who bought it needed to write some chip to motherboard and he got it working again...

That was a guy who work in service, I don't have his contact anymore... but that's what he told me...write that chip in motherboard and get new imei number...it was very expensive, almost a half price of the phone...
