pre rooted deodexed base BOC6 - Galaxy Note 4 Android Development (Snapdragon)

Just releasing a pre rooted deodexed BOC6 base for the N910G. It has busybox and init.d support plus secure storage set to false.
You will need the modem and probably the bootloader from the boc6 base, I'll probably upload them later. Anyone is welcome to use it as a base, just dropping it as there isn't one yet

Can someone upload a twrp flashable bootloader? Save having to flash stock 5.01 rom

Do you know? How to root this Note 4 with lollipop 5.0.1?

never flash BL with TWRP always prefer Odin flash, Flashing BL via TWRP can hardbrick your device.

May I request somebody to upload the odin flashable bootloader... I have no idea how to flash aboot.mbn provided in oyher thread.
Thanks in advance.

Hey guys!
OK, I've been waiting for this.
So if I grab the India firmware, flash with Odin, flash this all good?
I have the Australian G version.
Technically, if I flash the India firmware, I should be able to use the F custom roms with the other custom kernels?
All we needed was the bootloader right? World's our oyster Yeah? Haha.
Thanks guys.

Can I use with my 910F? Thanks.

If you want just a stock prerooted boc3 base for the n910f I can upload one but there are plenty of custom roms out there for the n910f. I just dropped this base for other devs to use as there wasn't a lollipop zips for the n910g. I think Dr ketan has released one now

Not sure exactly what Sammy have done but on lollipop if the modem and base don't match the rom won't boot. This means for the time being you cant flash lollipop n910f roms on the n910g and vice versa. Hopefully someone will fix it soon

I didn't intend supporting the rom as I don't have the device it's just a base for other devs to use. If no one makes a custom rom for you guys I'll add a few mods to it

If I flash the stock India via Odin, new bootloader and modem, and I have an issue or want to wait for more custom roms, can I go back to kitkat rom?

Yes , don't think anyone has had an issue downgrading

I just flashed the sammobile stock firmware and rooted but I can't get 3minit to work. I see you have to decompile etc. Anyway to zip align and deox stock rom semi easily? Haha.
Thanks guys.

[ROM][STOCK][D855][20A- LRX21M][OFFICIAL] Lollipop rooted ROM by skin1980

Hi all, i'm pleased to share my work with you.
Here you have the latest official lollipop firmware for D855 ( v. 20A - LRX21M) packed in a zip flashable file.
I made this because all of us want to keep the old bootloader that is - at the moment - the only one who accept the bumped TWRP provided us by team Codefire.
I made also a step further and found a way to root this ROM.
Here you go:
First of all i suggest you to install the TWRP modded by me to allow the backup of the modem.
Be sure you select also the modem partition before taking the backup. ( If you want to restore the backup then restore also the modem )
1- download the two files and put them into the sdcard;
2- reboot in recovery and do a factory reset;
3- install the ROM and the supersu ZIP;
4- reboot the device and enjoy your rooted Lollipop ROM.
If you come from an earlier lollipop firmware you can dirty flash, it might work.
I spend a lot of time developing this so if you think i deserve you can donate ( look at my sign )
DOWNLOAD
SUPERSU flashable ZIP
ROM
MIRROR
KK MODEM ( you need this only if you downgrade from lollipop to kitkat and you don't need if you backed up before with the modded TWRP recovery)

Q&A
What this ROM include?
In the ROM zip you can find only the system, modem and kernel (bumped) image
What do i need to flash this?
You need only to have the TWRP recovery installed
If i flash this i will lose the bumped recovery?
Nope. The bootloader will not be changed.
If i want go back to KK roms ( stock or AOSP) what i have to do?
Just flash your ROM or restore a previous nandroid backup. But, after that, flash the zip with the KK modem you can find in the 1st post.
I really need to flash the root files?
Must i answer????
Cannot write to internal SD?
With adb or a terminal emulator do:
Code:
su
restorecon -v -R /data/media
Your statusbar and navbar are gone?
This is a issue reported from some user.
Try to format manually data in TWRP before install the rom.
If this doesn't work try flashing the kdz of the H firmware ---> root ----> twrp ----> install this rom ( sperimental).
Doesn't have the option to enable LTE?
Go with a root browser to system/app/Lteconfigs/, click and install the apk, then reboot and you will have the option for LTE.

thank you! could you possibly link to the tot/kdz you used to downgrade from lollipop to kitkat?
What kernel do you use for rooting? 4.4 or custom?
Wait wut? So this is all done in the stock recovery? No root, no custom recovery needed? Just bang it all on the sd card and go?

[xxu1ank5]n910f[prerooted]

Hi all,
Here you got Prerooted stock rom that might be useful for those wanting the latest stock rom but don't have access to Odin
-Base rom: N910FXXU1ANK5.
-Nothing has been added or removed with the exception of the files needed to have root permissions.
-Only 2 build prop lines have been modified to fix some things that usually stop working once root is applied (screen mirroring and private mode).
Everything else is totally untouched.
Download it HERE
DANGER:
IF FLASH THIS YOUR COUNT KNOX INCREMENT TO 0X1
Thanks to Chainfire (root) JustArchi (archi kitchen) and sawdoctor for letting me know about build.prop fixes.
Great. Thank you!
I've been looking for a pure stock rom.
Sent from a mobile gadget...
any changes or improvements over the nk4 based rom?
There are no changes, official changelist is the same for ANK4/5/6.
Just installed the ROM and uninstalled all bloatware. Works flawless.
Guys I flashed stock rom and lost root, chain fire website says bandwidth exceeded when I try to download auto root, is there any other way to root??
ro.secure.storage.support is not right. ro.securestorage.support is the right line. You find it the build.prop file.
Thanks this is the fastest rom what i try.
I only debloated, flashed AEL kernel and switched to ART runtime.
Hello guys,
just a question, please.
Is it safe to flash it directly from stock rooted NJ4?
Or is it necessary to flash new modem and bootloader through Odin first?
Thanks for your help.

I flashed the NK4 bootloader and modem to install a NK4 ROM.
It doesn't boot until you install a NK4 ROM.
I then flashed this after as I didn't like the ROM I was on and I have had no issues.
Can someone provide the stock kernel to this ROM please? Currently on AEL kernel but I am really bad at kernel tweaking

Because I felt like it... who are you to question what I do with my own phone?
Maybe I flashed it because you don't always need to tweak custom kernels. Then realised to get the very most out of them i would need to tweak it.
Learning by doing, it's what xda is about. I'm still looking for the first dude waking up knowing it all
I think I found a how to in one of the kernel threads.

I have a stock rooted ROM here and am working on a deodexed version but I see no benefit/need for creating an Odin version:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...l/how-to-update-to-g900tof6-5-1-1-pc-t3141404
just asking . apparently with this root method of using a permissive kernel, the privacy mode is broken. any idea if that can be fixed and keep root?
benefit is that it's everything in a single package. including bootloader, modem etc.. twrp is good for flashing a different rom of the same version but for upgrades it's better to use odin. imho.

Correct, you need a custom kernel to root 5.1 which trips the warranty bit any way you flash it.

Flashing Custom ROM on Mido

hello, i'm new mido user, i'm using ido too. i wanna try flash custom rom on mido, is it necessary to flash firmware before flash custom ROM, and what's the purpose we flash firmware? bcause in ido, we don't need to flash firmware before flash custom ROM. I'm still looking for the answer of my question, i hope someone can help me to explain it, thanks
Hmm, what do you mean by firmware?
The steps are:
1. Unlock boot loader
2. Install custom recovery (TWRP)
3. Install custom ROM
i've read some threads of custom rom like Candy ROM, and they said we should to flash firmware. that firmware is cm14-mido-firmware-20170430.zip i mean

Oh that. That's only required to flash firmware when you're coming from marshmallow based MIUI only. Otherwise no need.
The thing is if you flash firmware before installing Rom, it's not an issue. You're good to go. You can find latest firmware zips from this (https://forum.xda-developers.com/re.../firmware-firmware-update-2017-08-04-t3651537) thread, huge thanks to @Zile995 for the updates!
