[Q] [HELP] [URGENT] Xperia Mini Pro Touch Not Working

Hey Guys,
I am having a big problem with my device. The touch is not working. I have been flashing various roms on my phone and after playing with many roms, i finally flashed stock rom into my phone and flashed a stock ics based rom. Everything was working fine until one day my touch was not working well. I switched off the phone and turned it on and the touch was right back on. Again, things were smooth until this issue happened quite frequently. The problem was solved after turning off the phone and powering it off. After some time, the problem again started to come. At this point, the touch was not working COMPLETELY.
I was scared and immedaitly flashed the stock rom. During the initial boot, everything was working fine. But, when i locked the screen and tried to use the phone after some time, the same problem occured again.
So friends, my question is, Is this a software related problem or a hardware related problem. If this is a h/w related problem, is there any point in touch working during some time and not working later? ( Now, touch stopeed working completely). Will any tutorial on this forum about bricked touchscreen (after flashing wrong rom, which i am sure i didn't) will help me solve this problem?
I am awaiting for your valued input as this is the phone that i use for all my communication needs.
Kindly help me
Thanks
Well, if stock didn't solve it, there's a chance it's a hw issue. If you look closely, "touchscreen brick" guides are meant for the mini and the lww (touch digitizer separated from display), not the mini pro (touch digitizer and display as one assembly).
And yes, there are situations where your touch digitizer might cease to function for a few seconds then respond after a while, and sometimes it stops working completely after the next reboot (or forever). It happened to me with a deffective replacement part.

Thanks for your reply.......
I guess it is indeed an hardware issue. My phone used to reboot when i slide my keyboard out fast. The screen gets dimmed out and the phone immediatly restarts. Last few days before the problem worsened it was overheating also.
Can you suggest me which hardware part i should change to rectify the touch issue? Awaiting for your reply
Thanks a lot
Ok your problem seems to be worse than expected. A faulty touchscreen shouldn't cause sudden reboots. I'd say it's a flex ribbon issue.
Try to get a replacement flex ribbon and test it extensively before installing it on your phone. Replacing the flex might be enough to solve all of your problems. If any of the problems persist with a new flex, you'll need a new screen assembly (quite expensive at 35~50 bucks).

[Q] Xperia Z Ultra Screen Problem

Hi all,
A couple of months ago, some sort of a ghost image started to appear on at the bottom of the screen (I don't know if it's a hardware defect or a software related issue)!
However, few days ago that ghost image started to occupy a much larger screen real-estate, which is quit annoying especially if you are using the device in landscape mode!
I've already restored my device, refleshed but it didn't help!
So my guessing is it's a hardware problem (please refer to the images below)!
Could anyone please advice on this?
I would guess part of the ribbon for the LCD has come off

If so, does this require replacing the screen?? or is there any other way to fix it?

[Q] Disable parts of touchscreen

Dear all,
I have the following problem; I own a Sony Xperia Z1 and a week ago my touchscreen started doing strange. It seems like the touchscreen keeps touching itself (also known as Ghosttouches). I activated the developer mode on my device and found that all these ghosttouches occur on only one line of constant x (x=539). This problems makes it nearly impossible to do anything productive on my Xperia phone.
Instead of replacing the touchscreen, I was wondering if there is a possibility of just disabling any touches that occur on said line of constant x.
Hopefully some of you geniuses are able to help me

I'm guessing that you use a screen protector? If yes, that's the issue (if it covers the sensor). Also, always remember to WIPE (Factory reset) after updating to new bases, like 4.1->4.4->5.0->5.1 (i.e each release with a new name). Lollipop is a special case though since 5.0/5.0.2 is incredibly crappy, so do a factory reset so the system doesn't bring old bugs with it over to 5.1.1.
I had the same proximity sensor issues on my Sony Xperia z ultra too.I was so upset about it checked on xda forums, YouTube on how to sort this problem out all to no avail until recently I stumbled on the answer. Please cut a tiny piece of a black tape and cover the proximity sensor with it you will never experience the dark screen again when on a call.cheers

Please Help

Hello Everyone,
I've been using Pocophone F1 for past 1.5 year and had no issues but recently it developed a bulge on it's battery and I got it replaced by an authorized service center and few days later downgraded it to MIUI 10.3.5 and as the downgrade was finished while plugging out from USB it got dropped from a height of 1 feet with screen facing the floor nothing happened to the screen but afterwards the device started having occasional touch delay, screen freeze, unresponsiveness, screen blur and multi touch. Now it's impossible to decide is it the drop, software or something went wrong during battery replacement that triggered this. I've tried custom ROMs and kernels and upgraded to all the official stable ROMs that claimed to fix the issue nothing's helping. I've also noticed that the device is almost unusable when the climate is warm/humid. Already been to service center they want me to replace the screen without even inspecting the device so this place is my last hope if anyone have faced similar issues or have a solution regarding the issue please share your experience it will be of great help.
Thank You
Very serious
