Terrible Experience with Huawei Authorised Service Center - Ascend Mate 7 Accessories

The free casing which came together with Mate 7 gold crack itself after 1 week. When to Huawei Authorised Service Center, to my surprise they said they are only authorized to claim for phone but not accessories. Online chat with Huawei Service Person, initially said will help me to check for it but later said their accessories are not under warranty. Those who plan to buy Huawei phone just be careful.

Wow, that blows. What cell service you're using the gold on, getting LTE?

Sorry, I didn't subscribe any LTE service in my country. I just feel pissed off with the Huawei's service center and also doubt their promise of 1 to 1 and no question asked exchange policy of Mate 7.

speaker water damage

i dont know how but i messed up my phone speakers. i took the phone to the sprint store and they told me they have water damage. they sound very tinny and low. i guess they must have gotten wet inside. is there any way to replace the speakers? im out of warranty and my phone is useless without speakers. any ideas, suggestions? many thanks and merry xmas everyone!!

The part you need is the middle plate with the loud speaker it shouldn't be that hard to repair. The problem is finding that sucker and this site only sells to wholesalers.

You should go around in the cm7 thread (development section) and check the last few pages for thesian. He works for sprint and maybe he could sell you one or at least tell you where to get it. Send him a private message I'm sure he'd be cool enough to help you.

Xperia Sola "dead" touchscreen area

Some days ago I noticed that upper left corner of the phone was not responding to touches. I tested with Touchscreen test and it confirmed that that area was "dead" The reason why "dead", because some time after, this area started to work again. Is this possible? How did this happen? I dropped phone once pretty hard, but nothing was damaged and I made tests right away, everything worked correctly.
Here is the screenshot

So this is hardware issue right? Will this area expand further or it will remain at that area? I bought the phone from another person and its warranty is has passed long time ago. Also there aren't any Sony service centres in my country and if I bring it to private repair centre, they will sure charge me very high.
My guess is that it won't spread and yes, it would be expensive.

I just found a great HTC retailer

Hello, I am a user of HTC in Korea.First of all, I'm a pure general user who has nothing to do with the company below, but I'm writing using a translator to introduce this special honest price, the seller! I found an HTC dealer that is being shipped overseas in Hong Kong yesterday! The price is much lower than eBay and Amazon. If you want an HTC device, think about it. I bought u20 5g.

Google Maps to the store.
I checked reputation. Oh? That's a good place.
Overseas delivery, tax issues in the destination country and
Returns and other regulations were very well organized
Check HTC product price now!
Desire 20 Pro Black and
U20 5G green and white on sale
(D20 Pro has no blue, no green and no U20 black )
It seems that we can be freed from a place that sells at a premium price to our global HTC users outside Taiwan. Hope this helps!
.

I bought a used Mate 20 pro and I can't update the Software!? I press button but it doesn't go anywhere.

When I go to System & Updates - Software update I press the button but it does nothing. There is the red notification on the Software update button but when I press it nothing happens at all. This is the furthest I can go.

I tried the HiSuite but it says I have the latest version. So then why do i have an notification to update?
I contacted Huawie customer service and they said that my phone is registered for service in China and updates are through China. So does anyone have any suggestions to update this phone without moving to China?

I don't have this smartphone, but the only thing I can think of is using a proxy or VPN. Maybe I'm wrong but it's worth a try
