[Q] How to remove ATT words in the top left - AT&T HTC One (M9)

Hey all,
I just switched from Sprint to ATT, and I had the M9 on Sprint for 3 days until I decided to switch.
When I was on Sprint, I loved the M9!!! I had no problems and it was great.
However I have run into one annoyance on the ATT branded M9, in the top left of the notification bar there is a little text that says "ATT" on the left, is there a way to disable it?
My Sprint HTC One M9 had no logos or anything up there, I wish this one was just as clean.
Also a minor annoyance is the ATT logo on the bottom of the M9, my Sprint one was as clean as the unlocked version!

Root your phone and flash a custom ROM.

If u use a weather app that puts the temp in the status bar the att goes away.

Tmobile sim now shows roaming in home area?

Hey here is something I just noticed.
I dunno exactly what it means, but I am guessing.
I flashed my XDA to WM2003 and running the AT&T Radio stack. I been bouncing between my AT&T and Tmobile sim. But after doing a cold boot tonight with the Tmobile sim I just noticed something.
When I power up the phone, and it is detecting the network, I get a Pyramid shaped icon next to the signal strength for a few seconds then it goes away. Now when I bring up the phone to make a call, next to "T-mobile" on the upper right I have a black Pyramid icon next to it. Does that mean the phone is roaming?
If I put the Tmobile sim in my unlocked Samsung v205 it does the same thing, only it has a "R" at the top. My wife has Tmobile, she is using a Motorola phone and it never displays any kinda roaming icon.
Do you think it is the SIM by chance? Or the ROM?
Looking for some kind of answer. The manual for the XDA doesn't show that icon in there. weird.

[Q] SOLVED> Ignore. HTC Radar Data speed change

Hello not sure if this is the right place for this question:
So couple weeks back i bought a metal silver HTC Radar C110e from ebay, unlocked no carrier logo on it. I am guessing the person who sold it to me may have got it from Europe? Not sure. I have Tmobile and it is only showing EDGE speeds. I was getting 3G on my HTC Fuze unlocked from AT&T which was my temporary phone while I waited for the arrival of Radar. Any idea how to increase the DATA Speed? Any way I can check to make sure my phone is compatible with the Network here? I just figured since its unlocked Radar its speed might be the same as the White one from Tmobile.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] blacklisted?

my HTC one is showing up as black listed online and att has confirmed (long story). however I'm making calls and texting as normal. will my service shut off at one point? or is it a mistake. the phone is rooted and running stock 4.3.

How do i know my htc one max is gsm or verizon or sprint

I want to update my one max to marshmallow but i found three types of updates gsm, verizon and sprint how do i know what is my phone type
the verizon phones have the verizon logo in between the back and home button instead of the "HTC" logo. On other phones, pop the back cover off and check the model. Mine is HTC6600LVW thats for verizon phones. Google whatever number you have. hope it helps

S21 Unlocked but showing Sprint as network operator on Verizon network

I just bought a lightly used so-called "factory unlocked" S21. Everything seems to work just fine (Email, Texts, Phone calls, Internet). But it's exhibiting one weird issue I've noticed. When notifications are all clear it displays "Sprint" in the upper left corner as the network. In addition to that if I go into Settings in various areas I see "Sprint". CSC codes are showing as SPR/SPR/TMB which is Sprint and T-mobile. I'll post all the screen captures.
Just as some background info, after a Safeswitch transfer, all I did was swap out the sim from an old locked S7 Verizon phone to the newer unlocked S21. I don't think using the old SIM has anything to do with displaying Sprint since it's Verizon sim. My theory is that the vendor unlocked it but didn't flash the firmware to the generic unlocked version. It still has the Sprint firmware. Verizon is sending me a new SIM which I can try but I'm not optimistic that it's a SIM issue. I have not done a factory reset because I thought the vendor sent it already reset. I'm not optimistic this would reset the "Sprint" issue either. My question is should I keep the phone or return it? It was only $299 and works perfectly. I just get a little annoyed that they sold it as "factory unlocked" but is shows "Sprint" on the home screen and it appears all over the phones Settings menus. There was a theory that Android 10 had a bug in it that caused this but I'm not sure this is the cause.
Below is a related thread and how I found out about this forum.
Verizon phone shows "Sprint" as provider?
Hi, I have Verizon and after updating to Android 10 today (official Verizon OTA update), when I check the SIM status it will sometimes say "Sprint". It'll also sometimes say "Sprint" when I swipe down from top and look in upper right hand corner...

Your phone is originally T-Mobile based on the sales code you provided. You can change it to either Verizon CSC or U1 Firmware. Meaning, you would need to flash the phone, or get access to certain tools that let you simply change the CSC. If flashed to U1, the device would restart based on the inserted SIM and load all necessary firmware for proper connection, but no bloatware.
What is your desired goal? Verizon firmware, or Samsung unlocked firmware?
Thanks for the reply. I really learned a lot buying this phone and did tons of research on it. What I ended up deciding was to just keep the firmware as Sprint/T-Mobile. It does everything so well and the only sign of Sprint is the network name at the top right notification area. It doesn't bother me anymore. I had a bit of an issue with the eBay vendor saying it was factory unlocked when it doesn't have the Samsung factory firmware on it, showing Sprint whenever I have a connection to Verizon's network. But the price was really good and the phone is so nice, battery life is great. Since the phone is all setup and working great I'm just going to leave it. I did quite a bit of customization on the phone already and I'd lose some of that if I loaded new firmware.
It seems like a symptom of the Sprint/T-Mobile firmware is the eSim is not available. That was a nice surprise. This whole purchasing an unlocked phone thing has been quite the enigma. This is why I hate switching phones and I consider myself pretty tech savvy. What a mess. Then Verizon screwed up the new sim so the phone wouldn't call or text. All so they could force me into a newer more expensive plan. Crooks. So I tried to change over to Mint Mobil using the eSim option. The eSim was likely disabled in the firmware so that was impossible. Also Verizon wouldn't let them port my number without a special pin. Which I couldn't receive because Verizon botched my sim and I couldn't get the text from Verizon with the new pin. Disaster.
