Can you use DNA roms for an HTC Deluxe? - HTC Droid DNA

I want to flash Sense 5 onto my phone, but I'm only seeing roms for DNA, nothing specifically for the deluxe. They're basically the same thing, just rebranded. The most important thing is for the rom to support CDMA. Does anyone know if you can safely do it?
Thanks

Yes, you can use HTCDev to unlock it, and then flash a custom recovery and root the ROM (or flash a custom one).
What phone do I choose?

i'm nowhere close to doing it because i'm still enamored with the stock phone, but i'm beginning my investigations now...
from what i gather there's no real need to get s-off if all you're going to do is load a recovery and flash roms/kernels and rooting (just tell me if that's not correct)
but the question i have is, if you use the HTCDev tool, does that automatically flag you as a warranty violator? i want to be able to tinker someday, but i don't want to hang myself by it, and i like the thought of knowing i can just run an RUU and get back to stock.
If you have insurance on it, you will be fine. You will get a new one b4 yours even makes it to htc

If you've taken the latest OTA, only flashing ROMs is possible while begin unlocked (currently).
Besides the fact that HTC could only prove that you requested an unlock code - they can't really prove you used it unless you leave it that way if you need to return it.
-----------
Current Device: HTC EVO 4G | ROM: Evervolv JellyBean Preview 4 | Kernel: 2.6.38.8-evervolv-acies-ics

Of course, custom recovery, too. You wouldn't be able to flash ROMs otherwise . But that's it.

lol, i figured as much, but that's all i really needed for clarity
odds are good the most i'd want to do would be to flash recovery so i could get good backups and of course root. but i'd just run rooted stock. wouldn't likely bother flashing any ROMs until CM9 or CM10 come available

ATT ROMS

Can anyone verify for me what roms are currently working for att? I have tried a few roms before really researching and have a good deal of issues and yet to have one boot for me. What roms currently work with att? I read somewhere that there are only four or so, but can someone confirm?
Look a few threads down and I found this

Most roms will say AT&T or International. Rememebr roms are based on HARDWARE not carrier DO NOT FORGET TO FLASH THE BOOT IMAGE SEPARATE VIA FASTBOOT. If you are having boot issues that is more than likely the problem.

can we get a Rogers thread?

Adming can we get an official rogers thread so us user can help each other out? something tha5 can include stock roms , kernals, recoveries etc etc

The recovery for rogers is the same as the recovery for at&t, which is the same recovery on the international phone.
the kernel will be the same too if you match the software release to the release the Rogers device came with out of the box.
In other words if your rogers phone came with 1.29.xx.13 out of the box, then you just need to find the stock rom based on that release, probably in the international forums, and grab the boot.img from the zip.
For those who still don't understand let me say it again.
The GSM HTC One (M7_UL) devices across the globe (except the dual sim models) ARE THE SAME PHONE.
They use the same stock recovery and hboot and even RADIO.
I really hope the Mods merge the forums soon like they said they were going to.
It's getting cray cray around here.

weird i finally got the ota working, it was hanging on updating screen, i held power down, reboot and it would continue. had t9 do this a few times....anywy to do a compatible cwm backup including recovery?

Is the ATT One, locked bootloader ?

Is the ATT One, locked down like they did to their version of the Galaxy S4 ?
Or can the ATT One, be rooted and flash ROM's and kernels with CWM or TWRM ? I used to have the One X, and that thing sucked for flashing, due to being S-On, and having to use the bootloader and boot.img to flash with Command prompt stuff, etc... really sucked. Would like to have no S-On crap and have to flash through the bootloader,
I just like to reboot to the Recovery only, flash the zip, and be done. Can that be done with the ATT One, or would I need he "Developer Edition" only to do that ?

Thanks, was thinking on possibly getting the ATT One, and hopefully we will get a port of the "Google Edition" ROM shortly after it's release next month ? And would like to flash it through recovery, not having to go through the command prompt and need a boot.img file, and all that crap.

Thanks, so basically, we could turn our ATT One, into a "Google Edition" One with a ported ROM this Summer, and it should be near identical to the real deal G.E. version then ?

Stuffing AOSP apps and removing Sense apps, while still keeping the Sense frameworks, is far from AOSP, the reason the GE is coming out is ppl want the option of pure AOSP on it without any trace of Sense.

Confused
I also am curious if the At&t HTC One bootloader is unlockable through htcdev. I have read conflicting reports about it. can anyone clear it up? I am hoping to unlock the bootloader on my At&t HTC One but I want to know if it's ok to do. I bought my phone two weeks ago and I don't want to brick it.

The S4 will have a bigger dev community simply due to the fact Samsung is a bigger/more popular manufacturer...but theres still plenty of devs for the One from what I've seen.

I found this "The interesting thing is that these instructions work fine only for the international version of HTC One, and if you have the AT&T variant, the official method won’t work, since AT&T didn’t allow that (carriers do that, don’t they?). That’s rather odd and annoying, because the official bootloader unlock worked on the AT&T variant as well until the device actually hit the shelves and AT&T forced HTC to go back to a more closed approach. Of course, there would be other, unofficial unlock methods coming out pretty soon, but until they do, AT&T users are out of luck." on Redmond Pie "How to Unlock HTC One" page. (Can't post link)
I interpreted this as saying that I am out of luck.

I have no idea why he wrote that, because it is most definitely wrong. I followed the official instruction to unlock bootloader from htcdev website for my AT&T One without a problem.

I know you didn't say it was exact, but Sense as you know is far different from AOSP, and the GE will have straight AOSP with no Sense, basically Vanilla (Nexus type) Android.

[Q] M7ATT Turned To A M7WLV

HELLO!
Alright, this might be a difficult question to get a simple answer but I'm willing to learn a few new things from this in return!
The other day I decided to try out a new custom rom on my HTC One M7ATT, and with great success I was able to flash the latest Insert Coin rom running Android 4.4.2 and Sense 6. My problem formed when I tried to flash another rom to see whats out there. I decided that latest AOKP would be a nice choice. Once I was back into my recovery and ready to flash, I found out that my phone changed over to a M7WLV, and from what I found online, my phone now thinks that it's a HTC One from Sprint. In result, I can't flash the AOKP zip through TWRP
My questions are...
#1. How do I revert my M7WLV back into a M7ATT so that I could flash my roms, without going through RUU.
#2. How come there isn't really any information out there for this magical M7WLV
I totally appreciate any and all responses, and I'll be as informative as possible at working with anyone! Thanks! : )
What exactly is saying that model number?

The problem you will run into it that the hardware radio on the ATT phone is not the same as the Verizon phone. That being said there are some Verizon AWS bands used for data that the ATT phone won't support and there is no magic bullet for this issue.

So what I'm picking up from this is that when I flashed the rom that I originally wanted to use, I ended up flashing it along with a kernel that changed my radio over to Verizon from ATT. From what my bootloader is telling me, my radio's image 4A.14.3250.13
Since I'm still getting service through my carrier (ATT) I imagine that the M7WLV was due to something else
Would you think that it would be safe to try to wipe my phone back into it's original unlocked state and start over?
Thanks for getting back to me on this man!!
